Charming B&B at an excellent location, right in the middle of the old city. Friendly hosts and a nice clean room. Good breakfast served in your room (but only sweet things, no savoury items like cold meat or cheese)
I did not mind at all, but you have to climb two stairs to get there.
The location is amazing. The staff are great and helpful. The breakfast is great too, you will no go away hungry.
The cleanliness wasn't the best, it wasn't dirty, but just not thorough enough for me. But it wasn't a huge issue for us as we were hardly in the accommodation.
Location is the best. Staff friendly. Loved it!
Walls are thin but that's what u get with a building built in 17th century.
Location. Just down the Duomo, at the center of everything, you won´t find any place more central that this. Room was of a reasonably large size (i.e. 20 sam). Also owners are very kind and willing the help (for instance, they let me stay a bit longer than check-out time). I also liked room service for breakfast, which is very convenient. The breakfast also was very good and the owner is keen to provide you with what you need/like. I also appreciated the boiler and coffee/tea facilities in the room (this is not much too ask, still many don´t offer this). Double-glass windows (which is far from being a standard in Florence, while it is a very noisy city).
Breakfast starts at 8pm, which may be a problem if you wake up earlier (although you can still make yourself coffee or tea). Room & bathroom furniture a bit oldish. Window of my room on courtyard was very small (but this is not the case for the rooms with views on Duomo, which are very big). Internet connection sometime struggling a bit (but still usable). I can confirm you hear the Duomo´s bell at 7am, but they do not ring very long (still that can wake you up of course).
The location is just marvellous and my room, spacious and neat, had the perfect view right on the Cathedral. The owners were very helpful and friendly. They knew it was my birthday from the check-in and on the morning my breakfast tray had also a slice of cake with a candle. I couldn't ask for more!
location was perfect
the church bells at 0700
Not enough time to apreciate everything.
The room was as described, traditional and clean. The hosts, Giuliana and Leonardo, were very welcoming and helped us with our bags up the stairs to our third floor spacious room. Next year they will have a lift to help get the luggage to the room. The breakfast was fresh and plentiful (scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, bread rolls, yoghurt, croissants, cake, coffee, juice) and delivered to our door - love the service! We had enough food to make a small lunch to take out with us for the day. Their restaurant recommendation "Guido's", near the leather markets, was good value for money and very friendly. We would stay there again.
The wifi went down for a few hours and the power for the hot water was off due building works after 10 am but we managed without too much disruption.
Excellent breakfast served directly in the room and perfectly suited to our needs. Best location possible. Very helpfyl and friendly staff.
A lone mosquito in November bit me several times at night. But it is a very small minus.
I really like this house! The landlady was so kind and provided really useful information for our Florence trip. Best location, and excellent breadfast. I'm so glad to choose here and I love Florence!
No elevator, but the host will help so it's ok.
1.Location just in front on the Duomo. 2.Giuliana and Leonardo (owners) hospitality is warm and efficient. 3.Our room was facing the Baptistery. 4.Breakfast
1.Lack of any elevator/s.Steep stairs. 2.Poor WIFI.
Location was great, the place was located very near the duomo, at the heart of florence. It is about 15mins walk from the train station. The owner is there to welcome you upon your arrival during check in and prepares breakfast at 8am. The breakfast was great too.
The apartment is undergoing lift upgrading, so a bit dusty on the way up. Our room was on the third floor, so it was hard to carry our baggage up and down. The apartment is managed by one person in the morning, so might be a lil slow in preparing the breakfast.
Me and my boyfriend spend one night in Florence. I requested the room with stucco-ceiling and antique furniture that I saw on the photo's on booking.com - it was just fantastic!!! The room with parketfloor had such a luxury feel to it; the cup in the bathroom was made of silver! The location right in front of the Duomo is just perfect, and the breakfast in the room was great. The staff was welcoming and sweet. All added up: it was a fantastic room in a fantastic city. Whenever back in Florence, I will definitely stay here.
Fantastic location right next to the Duomo. Room was a good size, staff very friendly. Breakfast excellent - good pastries, fantastic coffee. We had a great stay
Our room was at the back and occasionally you had the smell of drains wafting up to the room. Of course I understand that this is outside of the hotel's control but is a shame
Review says superb...nothing to do with the place. Poorly clean, poor maintenance. Did not sleep coz of all the noise in the internal courtyard. Owner says it happen ONLY to me...My bad luck or a bad liar?
Our hostesses are charming, the Palace is very nice, the little apartment was perfect for 3 adults, The system of keys works very well, excellent breakfast at home.
Service of the personal is polite and helpful and the place is in the center of town.
Location, friendly staff, breakfast, room with a great view to Duomo, nice bathroom (although small)
1/ weak wifi 2/tv channels were often"freezing" 3/Taken the comments of other visitors, I was expecting nicer rooms with better furniture
From the moment we arrived, when we were greeted by Juliana, we felt completely at home. For the rest of our stay, Juliana, her family, and the rest of the staff were always ready to step in whenever we needed any assistance. A sumptuous breakfast was brought to our room every morning, with a full range of fresh offerings and we were able to enjoy it sitting at a table that gave onto the Duomo Piazza, for a fabulous view. On top of that, the B&B is an easy walk from the train or bus station.
We had no problems and on the contrary, our experience lived up to every expectation we could have had for our visit to Florence.
The stuff, the location, the view...everything
Personnel very helpful. Breakfast in the room was a treat. Room in the rear was quiet despite the building being next to the Duomo. Easy walking to the sights we wanted to visit.
Lack of elevator is a little bother but not much, considering how much other walking one does.
This place is a GEM! Fantastic location, right in the heart of Florence. Juliana was an amazing host, very friendly and helpful,, the breakfast was the best we had in an Italian hotel,, what can I say, I'm just happy we found that place, will certainly be coming back!
Nothing at all!
Staff was excellent and help obtain tickets to museums. Breakfast was delicious. Perfect location.
Was surprised that we had to climb 58 stairs, but I should have ask to begin with. AC did not work properly and would not leave windows open as the cafe below was rather noisy.
Excellent value for money. So close to all main attractions. Staff very helpful. Clean roomer room and nice breakfast. I would definitely go back again. :-)
Location next to Duomo was out of this world and the staff were so knowledgeable and good to us.
