눉A single bed is a bit small, even for a petite 5'4'' Asian female figure as mine, but it is comfortable enough though.
눇I am an Asian, female, solo traveler of middle age. This is my second time to Italy after 22 years and my first to Gran Paradiso NP. So, after my business meeting in Milan, I traveled in a train to Turin, stayed a night and rent a car from Turin airport the next morning. This is my first time driving in Italy and I was all alone, navigating myself an old style (without GPS) to the hotel. Add to that, I was less prepared for a trip to a mountain, lest to say a hike in a snow trail. So, I was nervous and worried all the way through.
Getting lost, getting yelled at, I started to feel like hell. Then I finally managed to get myself there. A few minutes there with Alberto and Adriana -- father and daughter who own and manage the place themselves, and Ilaria & Valaria -- the long-standing guests who have gradually become friends of the family -- I had to but utter the word 'Paradise'.....
The place is the best place overall I have ever stayed traveling the world (I travel quit a lot for work&leisure). I love the atmosphere of the existence of that place. It fills with soul -- you barely get that from "a hotel".
The place is well managed, clean and lovely furnished, in a perfect spot of the National Park, and authentic. The hotel's restaurant is one of the best around. Their traditional dishes are just great. Alberto has a wide selection of local wine and he has a very poetic unique way describing the wine to you (in Italian and French and a local dialect -- I don't know any of that but the sound of words is already poetic).
All in all, the very best of this place is Alberto. If I am to come back to that place, it would be all due to him.
