We liked the ancient interior of the hotel with a famous artist designed room.
The breakfast was simple.
We choice this one for the location & for the look. When you get out, the Duomo is very close, so very well located. The look, the decorations are very kitsch and funny !!
We stay 3 nights in the Leonardo room. The bed consist of 2 singles joined together. The beds are not comfortable. There was no net on the window, there was a lot of mosquitoes in the room. We had a lot of stings, it wake us 2 nights on 3. Yes, we can put the air conditioning, but it's was a bit chilly… The bathroom is a 3 in 1. One very very small bathroom that close with a accordion door. The hot water is not stable and the flow is very small. We didn't feel even after a shower. The breakfast is ok…. but always the same: 3 mornings 3 times the same things !!! You can see pictures on line for the funny part but book somewhere else!!
The decor was interesting, sort of a Baroque style with rooms named with those of famous artists. Location was convenient. East to get to wherever you want to go in Florence. I mostly recommend this hotel.
Bed and pillows were hard. Very small bathroom. Breakfast not bad but could have been better. A lot of steps up to the hotel.
Bathroom facilities are too bad.
Decorative style is amazing.
Yes it does have lots if stairs to walk up to reception.. Not for the elderly. Yes the bathroom is small and yes you will hear the pedestrians and traffic all night! But your in the heart of Florence and considering the amount of tourists there it's a typical noisy city.. It's basic but all in all we loved it and it suited our needs. We weren't overly fussed on the breakfast, so I wouldn't suggest getting the breakfast included deal, but there's heaps of places to eat out. I think if you were staying for anymore than three nights though, I'd consider a quieter hotel that's if you can find one in the city.
Very small bathroom with toilett. All together around 2 square meters.
The room wasn't dirty, but the smell was bad..
Location was PERFECT! Litteraly 5 minutes walk from termini, from the window we saw the duomo and the Gallery Academy was 6 minutes away. The room was tiny but cute, perfect for quality/price seeker
The breakfast was pretty simple, 1 croissant and 2 tiny little breads but it was enough to start our day. We had the last room in the corridor and the wi-fi didn't get to our room, but we were on vacation so who cares?
Location spot on Good breakfast Nice rooms
Bedrooms lacked noise insulation ;) Early check out time
Location is good. Facilities in room is suficient for your needs.
Hotel located on 3rd floor and no elevator. If you have big luggage, this will be a problem. No 24 receiptionist serviced.
awesome location!! 5 minute walk to the train station or il Duomo. nice area. I might have submitted the hotel that I'm currently staying in by accident...this is my real review.
55 steps to the 4th floor, however I think my heart is the better for it.
It was close to the train station and easy to find.
The air-conditioning was nonexistent.
Great location. If u like a good location and dont mind not staying in complete luxury then this hotel is for for u. Yes the facilities are basic but they serves a purpose
Basic accommodation but well decorated.
amazing location to both Duomo AND train station AND public market. We had the Michelangelo room with 3 beds and a private bath...could see the Duomo from our window. Very clean and staff was great.
lots of stairs, but that is common for these types of places, not a deterrent...
Don't stay here!! Absolutely the worst room of our 12 day trip! Filthy, stinky, creepy rooms in a dark, dank building. (Don't be tricked by the lure of romantic" - dirty is dirty)..Paper thin walls, heard the other guests urinating and snoring. Extremely rude staff.
Mrs Junko at the reception. She is very helpful and patient. The location is very convenient to all the museums and shopping district.
Bathrooms are smaller than an aircraft toilet. The breakfast is horrible and the woman who serves it is grumpy and not at all tourist friendly.
Room design, location is very near to Santa Maria del Fiore
GREAT location! Only a couple blocks from the SMN train station in one direction and the Duomo in the other. Friendly staff and cool rooms.
Room smelled kinda smokey, breakfast was just a couple pastries with butter and jelly (still better than nothing)
The location of the hotel was close to the train station, as well as all the attractions and the wifi was good
The basin, toilet and shower were all contained in an area of 1 squaremeter and the room was very small as well. The breakfast was very poor, although the staff was friendly.
really nice location
Good location in Florence. Easy to get around. Good value for the 4 of us traveling together. Decent breakfast.
A bit difficult to find.
Superb location, walking distance from S. Maria Novella Station, Duomo, Tournabuoni and S. Lorenzo. The building is old and bathroom may be tad small, but very clean.
There is no elevator, not recommended to the visitors with large suitcases. The conversations of other guests could be overheard, and the bed was hard, not ideal for Romance/honeymoon.
The location the the station and the Duomo. Themed decor related to Florence. Helpful staff.
When booking, I failed to notice this hotel is on the 2nd floor! 53 stairs to climb and carry your case as there is no lift! Fortunately hotel staff very kindly offered to help us. The shower is extremely small with the tap sticking into the middle of the shower!
Location was perfect
The room was small and bathroom even smaller. The hotel was dark and airless. It should be stressed that the steps are difficult.
The location, free Wi-Fi, breakfast included
The 54 steps to Reception. These should have been mentioned. Older people with heavy suitcases really struggled. The Abaco is more pension than hotel - it's very dark and very dated.
