Located in the heart of Palermo, just a few steps from the magnificent cathedral and the famous Via Maqueda, this hotel was once the noble 18th century Palazzo Tarallo.
Score from 860 reviews Very good
Daniela, our host and breakfast cook was incredibly helpful - - even with a 'fun' language barrier (Our Italian is non-existent.) The suite was breath taking and the breakfasts superb. Absolutely a 'must- come-back'' for us.
Having a car here was a minor hassle - next time, no car for us.
Very friendly and helpful reception (Daniella). Modern design and comfort in an old palazzo -despite many steps-, in the inner city; many tourist attractions and good restaurants within walking distance. Tea making facilities in the room! Great breakfast with homemade cakes, charcuterie, cheese and even bruscetta or the famous street food. Parking service was expensive (15 € per day) but worth it after a drive in heavy traffic. We stayed in very good B&Bs also in Taormina, Agrigento, Ragusa and Syracusa, but this was the top one!
The staff was amazing, warm, helpful, friendly. The building, an old palazzo is located next to historic centre, you feel part of local atmosphere and life in Palermo. It is close to the sea which is 200m away, you can jog there in the morning. The room has a kettle, which is a great plus and it has a safe-box, like any good hotel would, wifi worked well. The breakfast was very good with cold meats, cheese and homemade cakes, yoghurts.
Breakfast was wonderful with homemade cakes. The staffs were very friendly.
Staff: Lauren was very welcoming and personable; always with a smile. She provided us with essential information for sight seeing in the area and was happy to give restaurant recommendations. Accommodation: Clean, Nicely Decorated - Modern with traditional Sicilian elements mixed in. Very well done. Cozy atmosphere. Breakfast: Very enjoyable European style with meats, cheeses, Sicilian style finger foods, water, juice and your choice of coffee made fresh for you. And always two very delicious, fresh cakes. A great way to start the day. Location: Good location, within walking distance to most of the sites. Easy access to multiple restaurants. Parking: Free parking nearby along the beach road. Overall Impression: We (4 adults/2 rooms) really enjoyed our first two nights in Sicily at Abatellis Luxury. We felt welcomed and comfortable. It was the best value accommodation of the 5 accommodations we had in Sicily. I would easily stay here again and would highly recommend it to other travellers. A big thank you :-)
It was our first impression of Palermo as we made our way during high traffic to get to the B&B. The classic stone villa was a great oasis from the crowd. The hostess was very accommodating. Little English but we were able to get by. The breakfast was the best we had: bruschetta, little rice balls, homemade cake, more homemade cakes. They also had a nice mix of high end charcuterie. No elevator but the gal insisted on carrying the luggage. Parking is 15€ until 1pm the next day. They take it and park it somewhere for you. Nice restaurants in the area. They were the only place we stayed at that had a tea kettle in the room and great large mugs to enjoy your tea in.
Owner was very helpful, room was nice and clean
The way breakfast was served may not be so convenient for some people.
Very friendly stuff, fantastic breakfast (full continental one), convenient location, very clean and comfy rooms; enjoyed it a lot :)
Amazing breakfast, very Sicilian, comfy beds, lovely staff
Excellent location and facility, friendly and welcoming staff.
Lots of stairs to climb to the rooms.
Good locations, modern design and helpful staff
It was very noisy on 1st evening time. Sounds prof is not good
Excellent staff. Great location. The flat was just great. Tip: make sure you go for flats on top floors for a better view of Palermo.
Flat with tiny windows. Maybe because it was on ground floor. Go for higher floors for a better experience.
This B&B is a converted Palazzo. Nice and modern with friendly staff. It is an easy walk to the harbour and main street and shopping. The staff organised my transfers to and from the airport and were most helpful. There are quite a few stairs to negotiate, so I wouldn't recommend to someone disabled. The staff however, were most obliging and carried my suitcase. Very happy with my one night stay.
Most things were great especially the leisurely breakfast. Great to meet and talk to other guests who could share their experiences and give advice too at the breakfast table.
Stairs to the rooms. Second floor but it was a double storey each time.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.DAVID YOU ARE THE BEST!!!! Thank you very much!!!!Breakfast daily was brilliant, home cooked food that reflects the local cuisine. If I was ever back in Palermo I would definitely come back!!
David is a great host, the place is centrally located in Palermo, easy walking distance from all attractions and nightlife.
large room, very complete breakfast, very friendly staff
Spacious Cleanliness Staff Breakfast Location
Lots of stairs and no lift.
Great staff, very nice and helpful. Carried or luggage all the way up the stairs. Great breakfast conversation.
Area is grimey and looks dangerous. Room looks old and stale... NOTHING like the pictures. There's no elevator and I believe it's on the 4th floor.
Staff very helpful, and assisted with carrying bags. Good Sicilian breakfast
Location is a little hidden away. This hotel is part of a shared building, with shared access
Breakfast and the service of Daniela and David was just great. They prepared everything fresh even cakes and brought everything on the table, waiting with the cups and plates to come to breakfast. They were very attent, helpful and kind. Would definitely choose them again. We loved it and had so much fun. Architecture and comfortable beds and nice renovated rooms.
Children playing late night and early in the morning, somewhat noisy which is normal in Southern Europe's typical houses and families.
excellent breakfast! very friendly staff familiar atmosphere highly recommended
The staff were friendly and very helpful. We originally booked for 3 nights but stayed 5 nights. We were lucky enough to have the suite which was very spacious and beautiful, new & very clean. Breakfast daily was brilliant, home cooked food that reflects the local cuisine. If I was ever back in Palermo I would definitely come back!! Keep up the good work :)
