Score from 1203 reviews Excellent
Location is good, just a few steps from the main stations.
The reception only work for certain hours. There is no sign board for the entrance of the hotel. No one informed me the working hour of the reception and where to check-in after their working hour. Room light is too dim. The kettle is extremely dusty. The shower head is partially stuckEd, I can see greenish dirt on it. Bed is too soft and linen seems old. Breakfast, I found an expired yogurt!
Our suite overlooked the Grand Canal and a bridge was just outside the four windows in our apartment! The views were amazing. We could not fault the staff. They were all very helpful and eager to make our stay memorable. This was our second time at Abbazia and we were not disappointed!!
Quiet despite it's proximity to the Grand Canal, rooms are clean, comfortable and stylishly decorated. It didn't feel like a hotel, felt much more personal. The women who run it are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Very easy to explore Venice from this hotel and close to the railway station to go further afield should you wish to.
The room fridge wasn't very cold and the lighting could have been a little brighter for my taste
Adored the ambience, and so fortunate to have a view over the Grand Canal. Location was so central and convenient, yet quiet and relaxing. Will return, for sure!
Pillows were uncomfortable and the mattress could do with being replaced... A few dips.
Excellent location. 3mins walk from station or less. neat and tidy
narrow stairs. probably common to most of the budget hotels in venice. the ceiling LED light bulb is buzzing. i rather turn them off and use bed light.
Location and staff excellent
Spacious room. Helpful staff.
A bit noisy outside building.
The bed was very comfortable . The bathroom was excellent and had a great shower and the room clean It was great to be so close to the station .Staff were very helpful the carried my bags from the Hotel Abbazia and took them up the stairs when I arrived and stored my bag when I left the room
The room was small but not really a problem as I was by myself and did not spend much time in the room . No view but then I did not stay in the room to enjoy the view anyway.
Location and quirkiness.
Very firm bed and pillow. Twin beds too close together.
Reception was friendly, it's small and clean and convenient to the train station. Good security.
Really small room...two twin beds pushed together. No place to set one suitcase, much less two. Had to balance suitcases on steps leading to bathroom.
We arrived by train and the hotel was just round the corner from the station. The staff were very helpful and the property was delightful.
Not easy to identify but the sister hotel was just a few meters away so we were checked in promptly.
The room was modern and had a great view of the Canal. Close to the train station. Air-conditioning worked well in hot conditions. The breakfast next store in the Abbazia hotel was great. You could dine inside or outside in a great garden area.
The stairs were challenging but in a great old building.
A comfortable bed. Room was located at the back of the street and was quiet.
Our room was small, quite dark, and had no space or shelves for clothes or luggage. The bathroom was modern with a nice shower, but you had to climb five stairs - painted black- to get there. Unsafe, and difficult to see. We knew this was a B&B affiliated with the Abbazia Hotel. Our room was certainly not in the website. Spend a bit more money and stay at the Abbazia Hotel.
Close to bus and railway station. Staff and accomodation both superb.
Friendly staff, location, food, cleanliness.
We have breakfast at the hotel instead of the B&B itself. It was so good and delicious! Well done. The B&B itself is also kind of cool with nice design.
Location near trains and water buses
The location cannot be beat. From Marco polo Just take the Atvo shuttle to piazzelle Roma, walk over the bridge past the train station and it's in the left. 2 minutes to station. The room itself was awesome with hip elements and old charm. I would stay again for sure.
If you have a problem with stairs you may not like it! But if you have a problem with stairs maybe you will not like Venezia!
Location location. Location.
Location Option to have Breakfast at Abbazzia Hotel Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff
Room lighting was too dark in the bedroom. No full length mirror
Location and friendly service oriented staff
No elevator required walk up one floor to room. Bags were carried for us. No light in or near closet
Room a little too small to be a double Stairs to the en suite require a night light and a rail. Very difficult for elderly people
Really good room. Quiet, comfortable, excellent breakfast and perfect location. Staff really helpful and caring.
Excellent location, friendly staff.
We booked here as an overnight stop prior to flying home early next morning. I don't know if that was the reason but the room was tiny and dark. The bathroom was fine but the room only had a foot either side of the bed with the smallest wardrobe space ever encountered on our many travels. If we had booked for longer we would have had to book out but managed for the sake of one night. The bed was comfortable. The general ambience of the place was lovely and the staff excellent so maybe we were just unlucky.
This was a great room looking out on the Grand Canal. The room was very nice and spacious. Very close to the train station. The staff was really nice and very friendly.
