When I checked in was greeted by friendly staff who made me feel welcome even after I had to change my reservation very late. Very close to everything needed and great information on what is a complicated city. |

the frindly staff, big variety of breakfast compared to hotel in Rome, the building has long history yet the appliance are very new and fasion the bathroom could be improved, e.g. there is no curtains to shut the water |

The staff at the front desk are wonderful. The night manager directed us to a great restaurant and loaned me an adapter plug. The daytime manager was very sweet. The rooms are nice and big, comfy beds, and a great breakfast. Cosmetic things only: Lighting throughout the hotel needs to be updated, since it makes the rooms look gloomy and downgrade all of its great qualities. Also, they promised wi-fi, but access was very sporadic. A little thing, that could mean a lot to folks on their arrival is to change the front doors which are two little narrow spring loaded doors which are very awkward to navigate with bags. |

Excellent hotel very near to Ferrovia (Railway station) but hidden away down a quiet alley. Excellent location to tour venice. Staff are really friendly and helpful and the communal areas were very good The 7.15 wake up call by the church bells next door. No need for an alarm clock! Then again, it enbled us to make the most of Venice, so definately not a problem! |

This hotel has a special charm, being located in the part of the Monastery. Breakfast was good, you could have it in a beautiful garden. Our bathroom needed some upgrade, at least a shower curtain. |

Hotel Abbazia is a charming newly restored hotel in a historic building centrally located next to the railways station. I've stayed in many hotels in Venice over the years and this is definitely good value for money - except for the fact that asthmatics - myself included - really are unable to stay here on account of the hotel's liberal (ab)use of "aromatherapy" room perfumes throughout the hotel. I have one major gripe with Hotel Abbazia. Asthmatics will find it impossible to stay at this hotel as they use "aromatherapy" room perfumes liberally all over the premises, from the lobby and breakfast room to the individual hotel rooms. For this reason I would never ever book a room there again! |

Front desk was wonderful and helpful at check-in. Breakfast was fantastic! The hotel is close to everything but off the main road a bit so fairly quiet. I'm very happy with the choice we made. There were 7 of us travelling together and our needs were facilitated very well. Only complaint: Air conditioning was not working in my room and it took 4 tries to convince someone at the desk that it wasn't just that the windows were not closed. Eventually a fan was given to me and that helped - but a lot of stress in the meantime. |

Service desk staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The room was large and the hotel has a lot of atmosphere and is very pleasant overall. Proximity to the rail station was great and the hotel was very quiet considering its location. The church bell ringing loudly for 2 minutes at 7:15 each morning was not a real problem as we used it as our wake up alarm |
