Hotel Serena is set within walking distance of Termini Train Station, which is just around the corner. The area offers many typical restaurants.
Score from 1691 reviews Very good
In a 19th-century building, the Quirinale is a 10-minute walk from the Colosseum. This historic hotel is connected to Rome Opera House through a passageway in its leafy courtyard.
Score from 4155 reviews Very good
Less than half a mile from Termini Train Station, Rome’s central hub, Hotel Virgilio offers a convenient central location.
Score from 830 reviews Very good
Location was good, friendly and helpful hotel staff compensate for all that's lacking in comfort of hotel.
Too too noisy, rooms small, no service outside of breakfast, no elevator, bad heating, rooms either too cold or too hot.
Hotel has very helpful stuff and good location. You can walk to some main attractions on foot, which takes 15-20 minutes
Breakfast is poor, not so much option and the same menu everyday.
Friendly staff. Hotel is close to the Metro and within an easy walk of most historic and cultural sites.
Location, cost, breakfast, friendly helpful staff
Very friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms and good location. Great value for money!
Location, helpful staff, breakfast.
The staff were very friendly and helpful when I had problems. I enjoyed the breakfast especially because again the staff were friendly, the food was wholesome.
The room I was given initially was small with hardly room for my large suitcase. I mentioned this and was given a bigger room at no extra charge. When the breakfast room is busy it suffers from lack of space.
Helpful staff, made restaurant reservations & arranged cabs. Room & bathroom very clean.
staff very friendly. Front desk guys very helpful, with reservations and dinner suggestions.
Small bathroom and heat was on, couldn't figure out thermostat. But room ok.
Welcoming staff at any time of the day. Great buffet breakfast to set us up for the day and the miles that we walked in this great city.
Since our last visit in 2007 Rome has now cottoned on to charging for entrance to the many wonderful ancient sites and galleries of art. Not a bad thing if it helps to protect and sustain these World treasures.
Staff rude- came home one day and found my make up bag in bidet where people wash their private areas urine and feces. When I told desk he said oh she probably just put it there to clean the room and forgot to put it back. Missed my entire point that you should never put anyone's belongings in a place where others feces has been. Staff didn't want to hear my complaint and acted like it wasn't valid. Gross
Extremely friendly staff, very welcoming and happy to help with travel questions.
The staff so generous . , the , breakfast , servic
The internet had some problems
Convenient and good value for the money
People smoking outside the hotel entrance would fill our room with smoke!
central though quiet location, one can go for a walk at any time of the day, very clean and convenient room and bathroom, excellent staff, very good breakfast.
Great location, warm and clean room, polite staff.
The ham served for breakfast was stinky. Beside that everything was ok.
the location is excellent , near metro station and central ,
Close to train station and metro. Off of Nationale so close to everything although on a quiet street. Usual small room but adequate. Good Breakfast with Cappuccino coffee available. Very helpful staff carried bags to room and when we left.
We were there in early November and there was no heat in the room. Management said they were not allowed to put it on until November 11th by decree of the city government! Photo of hotel deceptive as only a small part of the photo shown is the hotel.
Staff, location, spacious room
no lobby, moderate breakfast
The employees are very friendly even though i had lot of questions, and i rescheduled the taxi time
Efficient friendly helpful staff Very convenient location, a very short walk to shops and public transport Very clean and comfortable Good buffet breakfast
Nothing of note
excellent positioning in the center, delicious breakfast, white and clean towels changed every day...good price
Good location of the hotel, near all the attractions. the hotel staff is very pleased his sensitivity.
Breakfasts was not very good, there is not much food choice.
The hotel is in a fab location for getting around with nice bars and restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was nice and happily included in the price and the ceiling of the breakfast room was beautiful.
Our room was number 18 on the ground floor, it was quite claustrophobic with absolutely no view and just shutters over the windows. It was also quite noisy due to (I assume) the trains. The shower just had a curtain and consequently the tiled floor was a safety hazard because it got wet! The walls could have done with a fresh coat of paint as there were some very grubby patches. I assume they gave us the worst room as we booked through an alternative website to the hotel's own. We went out for the day and I left our safe locked with a pair of shoes in front of it, when we got back it was wide open and the shoes were on the floor. I checked that there was nothing missing and reported it immediately to reception where quite frankly the man tried to make me feel like an idiot saying there was no way anyone could have accessed it. When I queried if they did not have an override key, he admitted they did but denied it had been used. Safes do not just open of their own accord, so someone had been in our room and opened our safe. Also, where we got back, our door had been double locked and a lady who I assume was the owner told us we had 'locked it wrong' - despite the fact that the maid had been in while we were out!!
Good location, friendly staff. Good hotel with a large bathroom and fast free wifi at the room.
