Max Hotel Livorno  

1. breakfast is very poor, starts at 6.30 and if you come by 8, plates most likely will be almost empty, staff does not bother themselves to be at guests service; hot water (to make tea) is supposed to be hot, but it was warm; 2. staff speak english very bad even at reception; 3. I asked to take my stuff to laundry, but it was not collected and I had to remind on next day, I also was promised to get my stuff back by 5pm same day, but it did not happen, and I got it just on next day. 4. location is very bad unless you have a car.

Close to motorway and convenient for ferry ports. Free underground parking.

Hotel itself good but grim surroundings. Fine for an overnight stay only.

Quite a long way to the city.

La posizione è molto buona per visitare la città o per viaggiare (hotel è ben indicato). Camera pulita, bagno bello pulito, colazione buona. Con shopping center accanto, poi ipercoop e Space movie center sono aggiungibili a piedi.

There is no business center in hotel, considering it's almost a hotel for business. Fortunately there is a internet point in ipercoop.

Free koffie and water in the minibar and the lobby.

The evening/night receptionist (female) is the most unwilling and unfriendly person I have ever met in a hotel which is supposed to have some class. The staff I saw in the morning seemed to be nicer. I will never return to this hotel because of the way I was treated in the evening. Further, the location is really outside the city and there is nothing around.

Location close to highway and still not far from the town was convenient for us.

We chose this hotel because we took the ferry the other day at 8 in the morning. It was difficult to find the port (embarquement) because you are already in the city and there are no signs (only from coming from outside the city...).

The air-conditioning did not work, and they were unable to fix it. A room change was offered, but we did not want to move, after having installed ourselves. The nearby railway station is noisy (also during the night and early morning).

We were on a trip to Corsica, so we needed to stay overnight in an inexpensive decent hotel in Livorno - Max Hotel was the best value for money. It is located outside the city centre, in a business district, but if you are with a car, it's not a problem. The building is modern and the rooms are spacious. I liked the bathroom and all the amenities in it as well as the free minibar with soda and water.The breakfast was served at 6 A.M. which was convenient before we take off for the 8.15 A.M. ferry. The free parking was also excellent! I never stayed in a better hotel in Italy! I would definately recommend this hotel!

A bit noisy at night when you open the window, because it's close to the train station, but it was not that disturbing.

Location more suited for business or a quiet short stop (car required). Hotel located on other side of train station.... Too far to walk with cases
