Great location. Really helpful people . Spacious apartment clean with great bathroom. Main bedroom spacious & not too noisy.
Second bedroom small & hot as airconditioner had to exit hot air through window & this was too noisy to sleep. Shifted mattress to lounge . Would still stay here.
- location, everything was in walking distance and loved the piazza del spirito - lovely welcome from Diana giving us excellent advice to make the most of our Florence visit. - nicely furnished with lots of cute touches. - Diana (host) also kindly booked us a taxi to the station - good wifi
- write up describes apartment with balcony but the is a slight exaggeration - kitchen is small but just about manageable - mould in the shower
This is a real Italian apartment in the area of the locals! The apartment us small but perfect for a stop when visiting Florence. The square 2 mins away has excellent restaurants a fraction of cost of the tourist areas and much better food! No regrets great deal!
Just a little small, but was fine!
• Location • Cleanliness • Well decorated and Fun • Affordable
Location, location, location. What an amazing part of old Florence to be in, to walk out the door and be face to face with the Pallazo Vecchio and the Uffitzi. Great places to eat all around (stay away from the main pallazo's). Diana was so helpful, the apartment was comfortable and well equipt. We loved it.
More fans would have been good on hot nights, noisy on weekends at night with the windows open but when you are in the center of activity, you sort of have to expect it.
Amazing location (couldn't fault it) great villa amenities and perfect lay out (very lofty great feel). overall fantastic and highly recommended if you can handle the stairs each day, Thanks for a great stay. Cheers Rick and Mandy Stewart
The 88 stairs (but the plusses out way the minus).
The staff were so friendly and welcoming and gave us lots of great advice. Check in and out was easy. Great location, we walked everywhere. Close to markets and supermarket. Well stocked kitchen with many little extras like oil, salt, pepper and spices. We also got a very cute box of toiletries like shampoo and face cream each, which was lovely. Comfy bed, lots of towels, great shower and portable fan. Rooms stayed nice and cool and it was hot while we were there. All in all, a great place to stay.
We were met at the front door as promised and our apartment was everything we were told it would be. We did not have a phone with us and emailed Diana requesting she schedule a taxi for us a couple of times. She was totally gracious and made sure we had a taxi at the time requested. Everything in the apartment was well stocked and clean.
We had a lovely apartment after we were disappointed with the one we had booked. Diane and staff we very accommodating and moved us very quickly so we could get on and enjoy our holiday.
The apartment in the old building itself is one of the places to visit. We got a very warm welcome when we arrived there. We got all the comfort we wished for in the apartment TV, dish washer, washing machine, refrigerator, microwave, WiFi etc). The location is excellent. You are just 5-10 minutes far from all the visiting places. I like to travel and I have travelled different countries and cities. This was the best apartment/hotel I have stayed so far.
the apartment was very neat and the location was ideal.
the location was very good and the staffis wonderful and responsive to issues that needed attention.the furnishings were very good and the apartment very roomy . The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, glasses and cookware for our meal preparations.
It can be noisy at night if there is late night partying . The second bedroom is very small and suitable for a child. It was very warm and the windows could not be left open because of the street noise. The front door key/locks needed replacing. They were very hard to use and we were locked out one day and had to be rescued by the landlord.
Location, close to food shops, museums and The river.
Very noisy at night, I was significantly overcharged on the quoted price and no reply to an SMS querying that
Very spacious Apartment, very well appointed in a great location and excellent value for money.
Located above a very noisy bar. Appliances did not work in the apartment
One of the best cubic meters per money ratios you can find (the apartment at via della Colonna). A very nice apartment for a relaxing stay in Florence.
I loved this flat I got , loved the location...perfect service, spacious, with gorgeous decor, real character. Boboli gardens are practically the back-garden. Interesting shops in the neighboorhood, 5 min from the biggest tourist sites, but really quiet. Good restaurants and food close by as well. Best "hotel" experience I've ever had, did not want to leave ..and I'm sure it's a big part of my falling for Florence that the apartment was so perfect.Better than any luxury hotel, because you get space and privacy. + fast wifi!
The appartment was simply great. A positive surprice was the very nice lady who gave us good tips at "check-in" and perfect englisch of the other lady on the phone.
Excellent location. Allowed late check out at no extra cost.
Internet socket was broke. Air conditioning was making some odd noises.. Upstairs was having building work done so was woken at 9 most mornings.
Great location for seeing "true" Florence, like the locals see it. Diane was great in explaining where to go, the folder in the room is super-helpful!
The pictures of the place were misleading, I did not get what I expected, and couldn't even fit in the shower!!!
Easy to get around, kitchen, not bad for size
great location. kitchen was well equipped. Staff was great would definitely stay here or at another of their properties again
Beautiful apartment. Staff was nice and very helpful. The apartment is big and clean.
Loved the location as it was close to all the city centre amenities
Within walking distance of the city centre and major attractions.
Very noisy neighbours with screaming baby, little privacy (only a transparent netted curtain at only living space window). Guidelines re domestic appliances not clear (did not know where to find ironing board, washing machine appeared not to work, no clarity on waste disposal system). Entrance to building was not very clean and maintained a strong odour throughout. Not the best value for money in comparison to other Italian cities.
We liked our welcome, the position of the accommodation, the information that was provided and the high standard of the apartment.
