the location is great, the staff very nice and friendly. the bathroom is nice for italian standarts. beds are comfortable, clean.
the carpets are stained from what looks like some older water issues. the breakfast seemed to be decent but was not refilled. We came in towards the last hour of breakfast and found nothing left. No bread and only empty bowls of whatever was in there. so we had to get breakfast somewhere else.
Decent size room for family of 2 adults and 2 kids Great breakfast Friendly staff 10 - 15 mins walk from most sights The rooms were exactly what we expected for the price. Venice is expensive and these rooms are a good price for Venice. They are not perfect, but they are clean, comfortable and convenient. We were happy with our choice.
The first room we stayed in really needs some work. It smelt foul because of mould and the shower flooded the bathroom every time we used it. Luckily we got moved to another room which was fine. But that first room was terrible.
The mould smell and the flooding bathroom
Location of the hotel. Cleaning was ok. Friendly hotel staff.
Very bad condition of rooms. Fungus on the ceiling. High price. All other hotels are also very expesive.
We booked the junior suite on the 2nd floor. The room was large with a bath/shower. The room was comparable to a N.America room. The breakfast was enjoyable, with ham/cheese sandwiches, c, cereal, pesto pasta, tea, coffee. toast. It was a easy walk to Mark's square. Danielle was very helpful, and gave you a good map.
It was hard to find, when it is your 1st time in Venice.
Location, stuff and manager very polite
I believe that if there was a possibility for some renovations the hotel could be very good
Spent 3 nights - Wi-Fi advertised but NOT available, 28C and humid - A/C not working had to open windows which allowed mosquitos to buzz our head all 3 nights
The only positive thing about our stay at the Acca hotel was its location close to the centre and all the amenities although hotel wasn't easy to find at first.
The hotel was closed on our arrival lunchtime and we were finally ushered to our room by a not so friendly cleaner who quickly explained to come back later as the room wasn't cleaned yet. To my shock surprise the room stank of nicotine and looked like it wasn't just cleaned after the previous guests but as if it hadn't been cleaned for months. The bathroom walls were half covered in mould all the way down from the ceiling, there was no soap only shower gels and no shelves to put bathroom toiletries on. The room itself was desperately crying for refurbishment. On our return in the evening, although tidied up, the room had a strong unpleasant smell of disinfectant. We had to leave the windows open throughout the night to get rid of the odour. Only one single pillow, no duvet and one stained blanket hidden in the wardrobe were provided. One look at the breakfast the following morning made us resort to just a coffee and a not very fresh crossaint. Such a pity as just a 2 minute walk away there was a fabulous bakery/coffee shop selling some of the best Italian pastries. Needless to say, it became our choice for breakfast very soon. The breakfast room was not very nice either with packets and boxes of staff and cleaning products laid out everywhere. Our damp towels were not changed the following day, and the day after only the small hand towels were provided. There was nobody ever in the reception to ask for anything, except our last day, surprise, surprise, when it came to collecting our money. We also overheard 2 other guests complaining about the state of their room upon arrival. The pictures of rooms on booking.com and the hotel's own website as well as the Certificate of Excellence 2013 proudly displayed on the reception desk were both highly misleading and do not reflect the real state of affairs.
If you get the room (n'5) I bet you will regret your stay Nice staff when they are there (not often) Location
Dusty, smelly old bedroom Moldy bathroom Pictures you see on the website are old No reception during arrival (keys in a mailbox!!!) Over- rated and way too much expensive
Friendly staff, nice outdoor courtyard, good location
Single beds and pillows hard, could improve breakfast, shower has poor drainage
Well located - but very hard to find - the hotel could help its clients out by providing them a map or directions rather then trying to figure it out in the dark on your own. Hotel was unique, clean and friendly
Room a bit cramped by our standards but was acceptable.
Great central location, friendly staff, lovely breakfast.
Staff helpful. Location good.
Expensive! Also breakfast not good and could be a little cleaner in breakfast area.
Breakfast is very good and the people are so friendly ..
The room is a little bit small but i like it
Great place in the city center. Good breakfast and perfect location. You can walk to any place in Venice from the hotel. Highly recommended.
Our comfortable, traditional style family room for 4 was ideal for one night. The wi-fi was good and very welcome. Nice buffet breakfast and very helpful staff. Air conditioning was very effective too.
Spacios rooms, beautifully decorated. Styling suits the style of the city. Excellent anti-noise insolation. Excellent location.
Bad wifi, but it didn't really matter.
very quite and relaxing although you spend most of the time outside, the staff are very nice and helpful, roughly 10 mins walk from the station. If I go to Venice I am definately taking the same hotel.
Vice nice garden, rather big bathroom in Venezia such a crowded place; nice owner to make us flexible on early checkout; one receptionist is very sweet and helpful on explaining the transportation, she is so considerate to leave us the key for luggage pickup even afer we did early checkout.
Although the owner and the receptionist are very nice, the other receptionist is very impatient and even rude when we told her we need to do early checkout after we confirmed with the owner.
Location was great with everything nearby. Breakfast was average.
Extremely uncfortable bed. Felt that we were sleeping on wooden planks covered with a couple of blankets. Room was very small with thin walls. Checked in at 3pm and walked down to reception 45 min later to ask for an iron. Found a hand written note that the receptionist was out of Venice for the day, with a contact number!
The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was good. It is located on a small street off of a piazza so is very quiet with lots of room for kids to play in nearby.
We stayed with 3 adults and 1 child and the quadruple room was a little tight but not a big deal.
I like their style, friendliness, welcome with smile, cooperative
It's in a great location so it's easy to get around.
It was so musty and smelly. So much so it was difficult to breathe so didn't spend much time there.
Easy to find, good location, comfortable bathroom , comfortable beds.
Noise. People constantly talking and shouting at the corridor and the yard and because of the fact that the staff is absent most of the day everyone does what he wants. Spiders hanging from around the ceiling is not the most pleasant thing. Very low breakfast quality, limited quantity and slow service. Low WiFi signal in my tablet, no signal in my phone. Tv was a joke, 15". No soaps.
