Location and staff. Good breakfast also
No lift. Walls are not perfectly soundproof
Super friendly staff, great location
Single room was too small, sound proofing doesn't even exist, very noisy neighbourhood
Hi stud room and v spacious Great location within minutes of all key sites.
Hot water was slow to arrive in shower. Noisy room facing road and flags rattled in wind. Closed shutter and window which helped with aircom on.
Good location, very clean and comfortable, staff efficient and helpful
Although we knew that this hotel was in the university district we weren't expecting quite so much noise on a Saturday night until 5 am Sunday morning! Other nights ok but worth requesting a room at the rear of the hotel on a weekend
Staff... outstanding. Kind, cooperative and smiling.
The price is far too high with respect to the overall quality of the hotel. The room was quite poor and extremely noisy.
Very good location
Nice staff, good breakfast and good location.
Very noisy, bring ear plugs and pray that the neighbor doesn't snore!
The staff gave excellent recommendations for restaurants. The breakfast, while not large, was varied enough and tasty. The rooms were quite clean, although the cleaning staff should have paid more attention to getting rid of marks and splashes on walls in the bathroom. We had a room looking out on the inner courtyard, which was (usually) quieter and much appreciated, as the street side is quite noisy, especially at the start of the university semester.
The bathroom towels were not plush "towels", they were sheets and not very absorbent. More towel racks in the bathroom were needed, as well as space to put toiletries. During one of the five nights we stayed here, a large group of young people stayed one night. Three of the young men stayed up most of the night and made a lot of noise talking, walking heavily down the hallway, and slamming doors. At one point, one of them tried to get in to our room. When I asked them to keep quiet they laughed at me and then moved downstairs. Shortly afterward, they were smoking and talking loudly in the courtyard below our bedroom window. When we spoke to the receptionist about this the next morning, she apologized. We responded that the night porter (who didn't speak English) should have done something about the noise. The receptionist didn't seem to consider this an issue. She said these guests had checked out early in the morning and, as a result, that there was nothing she could do.
Good location, nice room and nice personal
Location, helpful staff
We had a room on the front side of the building and there was constant loud noise from the bar below, right through the night. And the noisy rubbish trucks started as the drinkers finished. It really, really marred an otherwise good hotel
This is my second time in 3 years. I think the quality is still good, but I maybe they need to modernize a bit.
the breakfast was good, but the food presentation could be more better.
Location was very nice
Too expensive for a 3 star hotel. Breakfast terrible, they could give more effort for the breakfast when they charge 1350 euros for 4 nights even during the fair. Towels peices of cloth not reall.
The staff and especially Helena the receptionist were most helpful. The Hotel is in a central location.
On our first night our room overlooked the street. At night it was extremely noisy even with the windows shut. The noise continued through the night up until about 4.30 am. Our second room was a little better. If you value your sleep and like fresh air at night steer clear of this Hotel.
noise outside the hotel at night
The location was fantastic as was the helpfulness of the staff at reception.
The bathroom was very impractical especially as I have two young kids. It was very difficult to shower them in a tiny shower cubicle with a fixed overhead shower. The towels provided were too thin as well.
Very helpful staff and owner, very good breakfast, nice triple room. amazing Wi-Fi, vey good location
The staff were very friendly and offered excellent recommendations for sights and dinner options. The room was modern, clean, and pleasant. Breakfast was an excellent start to the day.
The location was less than ideal. We were very surprised with the amount of graffiti all around this area. The neighborhood is very loud at night.
Nice hotel, very close to the University area. Quite near the city centre. Single room was comfortable and spacious. Staff was helpful and nice.
I had a window to the street and it was a bit noisy, because there were young people gathering in a street singing and talking aloud.
Good location, a lovely breakfast, staff were very friendly and helpful
Excellent location, good hotel
wifi is not 100% covered
Very nice basic hotel. We would definitely stay again.
We stayed for two nights. The first night, as we were readying for bed we realised our airconditioner didn't work. We went down to reception and after attempts to rectify the situation we were moved (upgraded) to a superior room for the evening. The next day we were moved to a standard room that had working airconditioning as our original room hadn't been repaired. The staff we lovely and very happy to help. The breakfast was good, with fresh coffee made. The bathroom was small but functional. The only possible negative I can find is the wifi. We stayed on both the first and second floor and the wifi didn't work on the second floor, as has been commonly reported in reviews. Normally it would be ok but I don't feel that a 3 star hotel should have limited wifi reception. It would be a really easy fix to make the hotel perfect.
The hotel is located in the city center. It's very close to the train station, Via Indipendenza and Piazza Maggiore. Breakfast is not bad for Italy. Rooms are clean and spacious enough. The staff is very helpful and kind. Special thanks to cheerful Diana :) She showed us the directions on the map, recommended trattorias and even printed our train tickets out! Thank you so much again. I would definitely stay in Accademia if I have a chance to go to Bologna again.
Little bit noisy due to its central location. Students don't have much time to sleep, so neither did we :)
