The staff gave excellent recommendations for restaurants. The breakfast, while not large, was varied enough and tasty. The rooms were quite clean, although the cleaning staff should have paid more attention to getting rid of marks and splashes on walls in the bathroom.
We had a room looking out on the inner courtyard, which was (usually) quieter and much appreciated, as the street side is quite noisy, especially at the start of the university semester.
The bathroom towels were not plush "towels", they were sheets and not very absorbent. More towel racks in the bathroom were needed, as well as space to put toiletries.
During one of the five nights we stayed here, a large group of young people stayed one night. Three of the young men stayed up most of the night and made a lot of noise talking, walking heavily down the hallway, and slamming doors. At one point, one of them tried to get in to our room. When I asked them to keep quiet they laughed at me and then moved downstairs. Shortly afterward, they were smoking and talking loudly in the courtyard below our bedroom window. When we spoke to the receptionist about this the next morning, she apologized. We responded that the night porter (who didn't speak English) should have done something about the noise. The receptionist didn't seem to consider this an issue. She said these guests had checked out early in the morning and, as a result, that there was nothing she could do.
