Looking back this was the best hotel we've had in our stay in Italy. The hotel is very nice, located just near the train station - but we did not hear any train (walking is just 15 minutes to the station - you can get a train to Venice in just 3.45 euro a person, ride of 45 minutes). The appliance in the room was very good, a door was separating the kids from the parents. The shower was well suited and was clean. The hotel has a parking lot where you can leave the car for unlimited time, so when we travel to Venice (by train) it was a very comfortable solution for the car. Need gps to get to this place, it is inside a leaving area, not the main city (4 km from the center).

We spend 5 days in the hotel and it was perfect. Clean and spacious rooms, friendly staff and simple but sufficiant quality for breakfast. The parking underground was also very interesting and perfect! The noise outside (trainstation, trucks,...) was a small negative thing. Also the airco in the room was not working on a proper way (always to warm!).

Position is ok. Not for walking to Padoua center, but very close to fiera, good for taking train to Venice and convinient for car. Large free parking and garage, free wifi. I have been 3 times before at this hotel while still named Academia Palace. The main reason was because it is close to fair. Under the new b&b brand decrease in quality is very visible. For example no soap near the sink, the cheapest one time plastic glasses, not enough towels, smell of dust in the room, poor breakfast served in the lobby (scrambled eggs are disgusting and inedible - the worst I've ever seen), restaurant which was quite good is out of service, staff is slow and confused - checking in was lasting for half an hour.

Cheap hotel for people on a budget that don`t mind walking. The hotel is clean and stylish, but a 2km walk from the city center. Good if you want to stay there for one night and take the train to Venice, since the train station is 1km away and has a bus connection. If on a tight budget you can take the bus downtown for around 1 euro. It stops just outside the hotel. Breakfast buffet was alright.

Price was reasonable... but given what was missing in the room, I would not recommend this hotel anymore... unless really on a budget... No fridge, impossible to shower without filling the whole bathroom with water, personel entered the room even though I put up the sign "do not disturb", safe in the room did not work (battery missing). Internet requires password and does not function well. It requests many times to login again... And free wifi does not mean having to give all your details, your phone and email address to register...

Nice, spacious, clean... Very big bed. Air conditioning. Near to the "Fiera". It's a B&B but breakfast is not included. The location is terrible, on feast days there is no public transport and it's 3km from the center.. The view is quiet terrible as well - a bus parking area.... No restaurant or supermarket nearby. I would never go there anymore.

The room was big and the bed very comfortable. It had good design with many features like the flat tv, the fast free wi-fi and the a/C. We also liked the free parking. The location was far from the center of the city and if you don't have a car you can't move around. The bathroom was poorly made with mold problems around the bathtub. If you were to take a bath, there is no drainer so the water goes everywhere. On our last day, we found a dead black bug next to the toilet. Maybe, because of the humidity in there.

The staff was efficient and helpful - they let us use an adapter for the Italian ac power sockets, so we didn't have to waste time and money looking for a shop that sells them. The cleaning ladies were at their best - each day we got our sheets and towels changed, the trash taken out and the water from the bathroom floor drained (see below). The bed was big and comfortable. The air-conditioning worked silently and perfectly. The safety deposit box was out of order. The bathtub is made poorly. If you are an average sized human being, chances are you won't fit and the water will spill all over the bathroom, soaking the room carpet because there's no drain pipe in the bathroom floor. After a few days, the room starts smelling moldy because the carpet is always wet. The location of the hotel is not so good, especially if you don't want to take the bus all the time, so whenever you want to get to the city center or back to the hotel you end up walking through the same dull streets for twenty minutes. At least all that walking makes you feel better about your mega intake of delicious Italian pizza, pasta and gelato.

“A very nice place for all the people that just want to find inexpensive but decent place to sleep, and do not expect luxuries. It seems that it is a family business. We have had some problem with a double booking of our room, but it was solved quickly by the hotel owner/manager to our satisfaction. Nice, quite place, equipped with all the basics that are needed for a tourist traveler. Tasty breakfasts. Friendly staff. The place is located at the outskirt of the city in a quite area. It may be hard to reach if one does not have a car. It takes around 20 minutes by a city bus that has a stop approximately 100 meters form the hotel to reach Padova's old town.” Zbigniew, Krakow |
