The terrace is nice, you can have wi-fi there, the room is clean, the staff was helpful, overall good value for money. You can travel in time, it looks like you are back in the 80 (which I didn't mind).
no wi-fi in the room
Location, value for money, cleanliness, staff
Wifi didn't extend into my room - had to use roof top garden (not the end of the world, though)
The 4th floor terrace.
Weak WiFi connectivity inside hotel room.
Location was close to the SIT bus from the airport & walking distance to my destination. Excellent price. Clean & comfortable, yet very small room.
Having a private external bathroom with a difficult to use key. The elevator stops between floors in this older building which required carrying luggage.
No aircon, external WC, no internet connections inside the room, noisy environment.
Very strict talk by staff. Wi-fi only works in terrace. No use in rooms. AC remote is additional charge 10 Euro /day, which shows in booking.com as a small note point.
Room size and cleanliness, hot water, nice staff
Extra payment of 10 euro per night for room air conditioning, No wifi in rooms.
Location close to train station and walking distance from important sights. The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. Another BIG plus was that we were able to check in at noon and could start exploring right away.
Neighborhood isn't the best, but felt the hotel itself was secure...I know you cannot change that though
Location was good and staff were friendly. Our room was very cheap. Lovely room top area.
Old hotel. No wifi in the room. The room we stayed in was tiny. Had to keep the window open all night as there was no AC.
wifi is not working, stuff unpleasant, expencive..
Within a few hundred meters of the Vatican, a central location & a clean, functional room. Staff were helpful, and the facilities were good.
Wi-fi on terrace only, which seldom worked. 10 euros / night added charge !!! for air conditioning - expensive in summer. No fridge in room... but NOISY IN EXTREME - the major hospital is very close, and the street is a sound trap. Bring earplugs!
Very noisy area, could not sleep.
location excellent, staff excellent and I slept very well :) i really enjoyed my stay there
no breakfast was included in my package and there was not so nice view from my window but that was OK, i needed only sleeping place:)
Cleanliness, location, price
We were going simply for value on this one and got just what we paid for. It was near the Vatican, clean but was a corner room on a busy street with no air conditioning. So it was our choice to try to sleep with window open which was very noisy. We were still happy because it was all we needed for one night only.
The staff were very curt and rude, especially the receptionist with the french cut. You'd expect them to be a bit nice or at least courteous since they're earning their bread from our money. The rooms were small, dingy and very dirty. The private external bathroom was disgusting. The shower is right next to the bidet so all the water would splatter when you would take a shower. The wifi wouldn't work sometimes and the speed was also slow. It had no A/c or fan. There is a huge building opposite to the window which blocks out any wind, so the room gets really heated up. All in all, almost everything. Don't waste your money by staying here. It'd be better to stay on the street rather than this hotel.
Location was near the Vatican City.
Location is unreal cool!!! 5 minutes on food to Vatican and 3 minutes to Sun Angel castle!!! Room is comfortable, bathroom is perfect. Personal was kind.
There is not breacfasts. Bed-clothes weren't changed every day, but cleaning lady visited our room every day. There is gratings on windows and its created little bit feeling like in prison, but it is not main lack of this hotel, you know.
Terrace was great Big room Close to the Vatican (approx 5min walk) Airport bus drops you approx 2streets away
Expensive air con (10euro a day regardless of when you want it!) Charged us 10euro more than the price quoted on booking.com
The location was near the Vatican and the bus stop.
The elevator didn't go to the ground floor.
Cleanliness and location
Having to pay for the aircon remote at 10 euro just to switch it on. Having them want to keep our passports during the stay
The hotel has excellent location - 5 min till Vatican and Sant Agelico cancel.
There was no soap in the bathroom. The smell from neigbouring rooms was bad - something like sewerage. I did close windows at night to avoid that. Small tv. Hotel receptionists were not very communicative.
staff is very helpfull; solarium on the roof is a good place for pizza and vino in the night); good location: close to Vatican and San Angelo bastion, 7-10 minutes to metro; there is a nice street with lot of restaraunts right behind the hotel;
dump and thick air in the room and conditioner is for additional fee (10 euro per night), no ventilation even with opened windows; wi-fi is not avaliable in the room, only in solarium;
This hotel is located in a nice area of Rome. Really close to the Vatican and other tourist spots. Nice clean room, good shower and great AC! Really close to public transportation.
I didn't like not having wifi in the hotel room, and only having it in one area outside on the fourth floor. It was very hot during my visit.
The storm on the last day
If you are looking for somewhere to put your head down at night and exploring the city during the day then this is the perfect hotel for you, location is spot on!!! just a 5 minute walk to the Vatican, and local bus stops just around the corner. We even walked to all the other sites using a map (supplied by the hotel), and each tourist attraction only took 45 minutes to walk too. We got a cab to the airport on our last day and was only charged 30 euros fixed rate, so excellent transfer price, and saved all the hassle of shared shuttle buses etc.. We stayed in a beautifully spacious and clean double room, with a large balcony with two hammock chairs, we often spent our late afternoons sitting on the balcony reading or napping, was very relaxing and managed to get wifi on our balcony too. Remember if you require air con it is at an extra cost per night. We stayed here in August and did not need air con, we slept with the French doors and windows open, although the traffic is rather loud in Rome and the city never sleeps.
