Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. It's very clean and in a great location. I loved the design of the room and the view from the window (room 4). It's great to have a fridge in the room as you can store food if you don't want to eat out all the time or get extra stuff for breakfast. It can be a bit noisy with guests coming and going in the evening. I had to buy earplugs so as not to be woken up by noise. With earplugs it was fine and I would stay there again. The cornetti you get in the morning could have been a bit more 'Roman'. |

The breakfast is in the room - daily plenty of tea&coffee+1 beverage+biscuits+2 croissants+even your own expresso machine (1 per person). Very helpfull staff. Only 600 m from termini. Near to the Colloseum area. The bath was too small for me, I couldn't knee. There is no 24 hour shift on the reception, so you should call them to tell them if you are going to come in after hours. This a hotel on the second and third floor in a old historical apartment building, so there are problems with elevators and heating, but in Italy thats the majority of cheap hotels. |

Good location. The hotel is different in that it is two adapted floors of an old traditional city building and doesn't have a normal hotel entrance. You go in and out as if it was a city apartment. The owners were very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Breakfast is a selection of breads and croissants delivered outside your room every morning and there is enough to keep you going while walking round the city. A good selection of teas, coffees and fruit juice are left in the room each day. Excellent hotel for a base to explore historic Rome. |

The room was spacious and there was a good mattress on the double bed. The reception was friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for visiting major sites from antiquity on foot; also, a metro station is close by. While the bathroom was acceptable, the shower was tiny. However, the water flow was adequate. |

Big long room with private terrace and daybed. Full of character/felt like living in a modest Rome apartment (building itself is a residental block). Pics don't do it justice. Friendly staff. Quiet and private. Nespresso machine in room greatly appreciated! |

We enjoyed our stay here. Good location - walking distance from train station, yet far enough from the noise; also easy to walk to most of the major sites in Rome. Breakfast was simple - two croisants for each person left outside your door (usually still warm if you get up early enough), but they also leave a snack basket in your room each day, which is nice. In-room coffee and fridge as well. Check-in was easy, room is large and clean, and the staff treats you well. Good value for the money, especially in Rome. None, really - as others have noted, this is closer in nature to a bed & breakfast or apartment than a hotel (which I think is a positive, but to each their own). Shower was small, but similar to others in Italy. Free Wi-Fi was weak from our room, but is available. |

Not a hotel, more an apartment - suited us, but may not be for everyone. Excellent location for sightseeing - only 10mins walk from Colluseum. Near to Metro, which is SO cheap. 1euro to station near the Vatican. Plenty of tea/coffee/snacks provided in room - saves a fortune buying coffee in bars. Breakfast delivered to room, not substantial, but adequate - as with all these things, it depends on individual preference. Check in by David, very friendly and painless. Gave us a city map and lots of advice on where to visit. Ladies - yes there is a hairdrier! Was concerned about 'hand held' shower comments, but all that means is a detachable shower head, rather than fixed - perfectly fine & lots of hot water. Had a great time & would return. Our room (No 1) was on the front - on 1st floor, there were refuse bins below us which were emptied at 2am! Other than that, great. Double glazing kept out most of the noise & the air con worked - although we did have to stand on a chair to turn it on - not sure if there should've been a remote control somewhere. We asked hotel to arrange airport taxi transfer - which they did & it was lovely - but it was more a chauffeur driven mercedes and cost 50euro! Do your research, print off a city centre map and you can easily get a shuttle bus & train for about 4 euro all in - which is what we did for return to the airport. Allow at least an hour - train takes about 20 minutes, shuttle buses not as regular as they claim to be. |

I really felt the Rome experience by staying in this hotel. It was more like an apartment and you got a real taste for "local". The area is a great location and it is easy to get anywhere I wanted to go. I was a quick walk to two undergrounds and there are plenty of restaraunt choices in the area. I would stay again if I were to return to Rome. Not really. I didn't like breakfast but my friends quite enjoyed it. |

The room was kept clean and the bed was large and comfortable. The breakfast was almost non-existant... 2 croisants in a basket outside your door each morning does not class as a breakfast to me. The shower was tiny and even though my wife and i are not overweight we both found it impossible to move about inside the cubicle. I am not exagerating when i say itr was about 2ft by 2ft. The other downside is that it is not infact a hotel at all. It is more like a block of apartments that are rented out. This is a problem in that there isn't a reception and unless you are the keyholder this makes it impossibkle to gain access to the building, and even if you do, there is still no one to contact to gain access to your floor or room. Whatever you do, don't get seperated from the key holder. |

It was like having your own apartment in Rome. You were given keys to the building so you can come and go as you please. Can't fault the place, it was excellent. |

Aenea is an apartment, not a Hotel. Therefore, quiet and with privacy. I did not meet any other guests at all during my stay. 15Mins walk to/from Termini Station. Another 15mins walk to Coliseum (not 5mins as per booking.com), surrounded by restaurants and sundry shops. Souvenir shops around the apartment sells at cheaper price than Central Rome. Room has air-con, fridge & kettle with supply of coffee, biscuits & juices. I arrived at 10pm and the staff waited to pass keys and gave me details information about Rome attraction. Daily room cleaning. Free wifi. The introduction of Aenea in www.booking.com did not clearly indicate that Aenea is an apartment. Paid eur85 per night. I was slightly dissapointed because I was expecting my stay in Rome to be in a hotel with full hotel facilities. Breakfast was simple with daily bread and make your own drinks in the room but I am used to buffet breakfast. Window in my room is only for display, so felt a little "jailed". You must be lucky to be assigned with rooms as per those photos shown in booking.com. No other facilities other than whats in your room. No signboard on building means it was difficult to locate Aenea esp at night. |

The rooms are spacious, charmingly decorated, spotlessly clean (no carpet!) and well equipped (silently running AC, fridge, safe, international TV channels, free WIFI…). The location is perfect: right around the corner of Santa Maria Maggiore, within very easy walking distance from Termini Station and many of the main sights. We found ourselves welcomed very cordially by an excellent English speaking gentleman and the staff did everything they could to help us out and make our stay unique from the first time we emailed (they send an email to ask for arrival details)-Thank you! If you don't mind to eat out (bar or restaurant very nearby) and can adapt to the Italian style of breakfast (croissants), I would definitely recommend staying there. |

Rooms were very nice, spacious and tidy. Reception desk is not 24hr manned but staff was very helpful and friendly. Very quiet surrounding and lovely balcony. Not easy to find at night as it's not sign posted, you will need to find the building first and look for the name on the bell list next to the door, since there was no light at all either on the street or on the door, it took us a while to locate the hotel. |
