The room was basic but clean.
Service was terrible - the lady speaks only italian and is very irritated and rude.
It's really clean room and owners are really helpful.
It was clean
Really Bad stuff behavior
We managed to check-in around 1 am as we arrived very late, the room was very clean, so was the bathroom, the WiFi was working well, the old couple who run the place were friendly and helpful. It has a good location, close to both the railway station (although not within the walking distance) and to the upper city (although not in it).
practically no noise-isolation from other rooms around, a bit too expensive considering the value provided, although this is a general problem in Bergamo.
Some quiet street of Bergamo. There is not a tourist-crowded showplace - it is true Italy. Famous Citta Alta is only minutes away. Great pizzeria in 50 meters, opened late night Rooms are simple, but fresh and clean always.
There is nothing i did not like. By the way: Hostess of this hotel, signora Beatrice, speaks Italian only. Even if you are foreigner - please uderstand - You are a guest of Italy now, so, please, respect italians here !
Our hostess kindly booked a taxi for our early start to the airport the next morning, and suggested a dinner place for us. The room was very, very clean. A decently-priced stop-over if you've got an early start the next morning at Bergamo airport.
For extra 10 euro, staff will wait for you after check in is finished.
Staff can't speak english at all, for breakfast you will get a cup of caffe and a crossan.
The area was very calm.
The crew didn't speak English. I booked a room with separated bathroom, but we couldn't get it. The old lady who invited us, tried to go to the room while we was there, and wanted to sleep.
It was hard to find. The room wasnt ready until 4pm even though it said it was ready by 12 noon. She turned the airconditioning off, was very bossy and didnt make you feel welcome at all. Has a whole host of conditions which make it an uncomfortable stay. Also the mattress was very uncomfortable with springs digging in your back. She made us walk to the bank to get money immediatley we got there, with all other hotels or apartments we have paid on leaving.
This place is clean, look nice and spacious. Also, it is quite close to town, especially to the citta alta.
Both of the owner do not speak English, we spent over an hour to communicate with them due to some payment issue. Although we can't speak Italian, they seem to be harsh when we don't understand them. So, if you plan to stay at this place, make sure you understand Italian. Also, at first we can't find the remote controller for the air-conditioner, so we asked from the owner. She gave us the controller unwillingly and asked us not to waste the electricity. Additionally, she barged into our room once without knocking the door. That was quite rude.
Nice clean room
Staff didnt speak english
Very clean and comfortable room, near to the down Funicolare station so it's easy to get to the Upper city.
The owner could be very nervous if you don't speak italian. But the next day she was really nice :)
location of the accommodation under the old city very good
insufficient time of arrival (12-16:00), we stayed block in traffic jam, so we arrived at 20:00, madame Maffioletti was absolutely angry, we had to pay 10€ more for late arrival!!; breakfast industrial croissant or 2 days old cake with capuccino, no water, no juice; it can be also good to add to the address via DELLO statuto because our gps could not find it; horrible
It was terrible - personnel does not speak french as was written in description. Just italien a that is why was very complicated to reach an agreement about time of departure. We had to wait for lady about 45 minutes. Wi-Fi did not work and air-conditiong did not work too. The bathroom was shared with another room in contrary to booking.com description.
hard to find, mean host, only drinks for breakfast + a little piece of some cake
The room and the bathroon are really clean. There was a good Wi-fi connection and the condition in the room.
But the main point is the owner which didn't speak English and everything what I tried to say she interrupted me on Italian with screaming. Breakfast was included in the price but on booking.com there was an advert that on Sunday the bar is closed and the breakfast will be given the evening before (some juice, bicquits and so on). We came on Saturday and went out on Monday early morning. So on Sunday we went on the bar and our breakfast was one little croissant and a cup of cappuccino. That's all. On Monday morning we were without breakfast cause the owner didn't bring us it the evening before. I trully don't recommend this hotel at all. And I hope Booking.com will check what announcements it publishes!
very clean hotel, size of room was good as well
The hotel is very good one! The location is great - 20 minutes calm walking from the station and about 15 minutes from Citta Alta and Citta Bassa. There is a buss station next to the hotel and a restaurant which works and after 20:00 (most of the shops and the cafes works until 20:00). Next to the hotel there is a swimming pool too! The area is very calm. The rooms are very clean and tidy, very cosy place with air conditioning and even a bidet in the bathroom! The owners are very friendly people with a touching doggy. The breakfast is very good - croissant or cake and cappuccino(the best one we had in Bergamo), coffee or tea. This is very good place we would like to visit again! Thanks again!
Good price and location (close to bus stop, 20 minutes walking to city center). Clean rooms and bathroom.
Owner speaks only Italian, is not possible to communicate in English.
Air conditioning Clean bathroom Close to some great restautants and Citta Alta
Owners doesn't speak any language but Italian The 'breakfast' is a joke, don't even bother Far from train/bus stations, unless you're travelling by car get ready for a 2 km walk
I loved the area, the fresh air and the property lady
Extremely clean, newly renovated and quiet. The owner was very friendly. I was given a set of keys and left to my own devices which was perfect for me so I could come and go as I wished. In a country where accommodation is very hit and miss and extremely expensive, this place represented very good value for money. Would definitely stay here again.
Don't book here if you are looking for a 24hour reception. It's not a five star accommodation but is great value for the price. Also be aware that breakfast is continental, a cappuccino and brioche. It is about 10-15min walk from the train station so it could be an uncomfortable walk with bags if arriving by train.
The room was very clean, breakfast was included (we have been leaving hostel at 4.00 AM, so we got breakfast night before), WI-FI was very good quality
Personel does not speak English at all!
Very clean room and bathroom, good location.
Owner does not speak English at all. WI-FI signal was very weak in room. We did not receive breakfast on the second day even though the owner said it will be delivered to the room the night before. Difficult to find via GPS, because provided address is 'Via Statuto 29, Bergamo', when actually it is 'Via dello Statuto 29F, Bergamo'.
Super helpful and service minded staff.
