Nadia the receptionist was particularly nice and helpful. With staff like that, we were already happy with whatever room we'd have, especially since it was ready on our arrival at 11am.
The room comes across as old, but in actual fact it is clear that the bathroom and bed are recently done, even if the decor has not been renovated.
Small, but comfortable - excellent location close to the train station, but not overly noisy, and a nice walk to the Duomo.
Prepackaged breakfast left in the room included not only croissants, muffin, crackers, jams etc., but also cereal, milk and juice. And, it meant it could be eaten whenever, including on the go - nothing fancy, but suited our needs very well. There was even a kettle and a variety of teas, for which we were very thankful, after 10 days of travelling during which the only tea available was that ordered at a restaurant!
