The mildew growing on the walls in the bathroom.
close to the sea, sea view, clean room
noisy during the night, not so friendly reception, no wifi
Location walkable distance from train station
Staff hospitality was very poor, unfriendly and non accomodating. Poor English command was a problem too. No lifts to room had to climb stairs not a good idea when carrying big luggages. Noise pollution at night could hear everything from outside room
Great location for exploring the area, clean, modern bathroom. Easy access to a reasonable priced (per day) parking lot. Friendly.
There's no elevator. Thankfully, the gentleman who checked us in took our luggage up to our 3rd floor room. A bit difficult to locate at first and there's not an actual parking spot in front. Noticed immediately on the first day that the bathroom sink was very, very slow to drain; there wasn't any instructions for operating the room safe. We notified the same person who checked us in. He said he'd personally take care of it but he never did ...
Location near the sea. 3 minutes from station. Parking really close. Really convenient.
Last week of october and heating was not on... Fortunately we got some extra blankets for the night !
Property is located close to the train station so if you are arriving by train the location is perfect. Since we only slept in the room and spent all the time outside the room is adequate but on the smaller size.
We came to Monterosso late and I have called in advance from US twice and was promised that somebody will meet us at the train station. Nobody was there. I had to call and wait for 20 minutes.
No wifi A bit hard to find the reception
Loved the location....
The fact there was only stairs and no elevator....made it difficult with suitcases.
being able to borrow towels for the beach was a nice bonus!! thank you!
Great view. Wonderfull straff that was very helpful!
The place was perfect for us. It was right on the water with a balcony where we could sit and enjoy the view after walking one of the Cinque Terre trails. The room was clean and a good size as was the private bathroom. It was located less than 5 minutes from the train station.
Accommodation was close to everything and only a minute or so walk from the train station. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean and tidy. We had a huge balcony that linked to the room next door which was good as we were travelling with another family so we could share the balcony. We were in the newer of the apartment blocks which was good as the older ones didn't look that good. There were towels to use for the beach which was great and there was fridge in the room as well. Overall it suited our purpose as we were out most days and didn't spend too much time in the rooms.
When we first arrived the guy on the front desk was a bit rude, not what I was expecting. During the stay he seemed to lighten up a bit.
Hard to find the place. It's number nine but the owner is in number three. I did not read the sign well enough.
Given that Monterroso is situated on a hill, and the train station is at the beach, the location was great. You don't need to climb any hills with your heavy luggage. Only draw back is you are close to the train track, if you are a light sleeper, you will hear the trains go by all night long.
The room was wonderful, located in a nice building with a terrace on the sea. Close to a big parking.
Very poor hair dryer, no wifi.
Access to the area. The thoughtfulness of the owners
location, very close to a lovely beach and lots of places to eat
no lift carting large suitcases up four flights of stairs after a long journey was hard. No Wi-Fi either.
Perfect location and nice staff , comfortable room
shower space is too small
Large room with large concrete deck. No ocean view, but just 1/2 block away.
Room had queen bed but two single beds were also put in the room, made it crowded. The shower drain was slow and overflowed into the bathroom and out the door!
Locations and price
Size, maybe 150 sq ft. Hard beds like every other hotel we stayed in. Slow drain in shower and also could'nt turn around in shower. Too small
The location was great and easy to get to from the train station. The room was clean and fairly spacious.
The building needs to be clearly marked, doors and locks need upgraded. It was very noisy in our hallway. Paying the bill was difficult because the attendant spoke no English.
Easy access to train station
No lift access to 4th floor, the unfriendly and abrupt staff, no fridge in the room, very small bathroom
Very good and quiet location at the edge of the town.
You shoudn't have to pay extra for juice and another cup of coffe at the breakfast, witch was served in a bar 200 metres away. No elevator.
Close to town so you can walk everywhere.
Train noise in the room at night was a little annoying but not terrible. Walking up 4 flights of stairs would be difficult if you have extra large baggage.
