We were looking for a hotel to stay at last minute - we were coming from south Tuscany then flying out through Pisa the next day. Didn't know which town to stay overnight in based on our short turnaround. The hotel was very easy to find (esp. with a GPS!) and quite close to the autostrada. The room was very quiet. We slept really well - the bed was very comfortable too. |

I liked the decor of the hotel, not typical hotel furnishings, instead very Tuscan. Very clean and modern bathroom. It also has a communal kitchen that is for the guests to use, well stocked with everything you would need. I had email contact with the hotel prior to arrival as we were arriving after business hours and they were pleasant and helpful. All arrangements went smoothly as planned. Only that there was no lift and I had to carry my suitcase up 2 flights of stairs but it is only a very minor inconvenience, not enough to spoil my holiday. |

The reception staff were very helpful, lovely big clean room, bathroom excellent. Coffee and tea in kitchen. Access to kitchen was a real bonus. For the money, great accomodation. The walls are very thin, can hear everything from above and next door unfortunately - not sure what can be done about that though. |

Traditional construction. Friendly staff. Simplicity and good value. Make sure you telephone in advance to make arrival arrangements, as the normal reception hours are only 3pm to 7pm. However, after hours arrangements were good. |

Location was great - within easy walking distance to the city center. There is not only a great bakery next door, but around the corner is a wonderful wine/cheese/sausage shop with a friendly staff who were very helpful dispite their limited English and our non-existent Italian. The afternoon staff at the hotel were also friendly and helpful. It was a delightful stay. You could hear your neighbors in the surrounding rooms easily. |

Convenient location in walking distance to the town. Hotel fairly basic. Air conditioning broken, heat stifling - difficult to sleep. Unpleasant stuffy smell throughout building. Lot of noise from adjacent building site - work started about 7.30am. Nearby patisserie closed Monday mornings - had to have breakfast in town. Helpful receptionist apologetic about problems and gave discount on rate. We were glad we were only staying one night. |

Room and bathroom were well appointed, clean and modern providing plenty of space to move around. Also well situated to old, walled lucca centre and bus terminal. Great pastry shop next door. Noise from building next door, so had to close windows and airconditioners did not work, even after reporting to reception on first day. Never worked even on departure - 3 days later. |

Room was reasonably comfortable. Nowhere to have breakfast apart from the pastry shop next door which was closed on Monday morning.Check in hours are restrictive and check out is early at 10:00. |

The rooms were spotless and there is a kitchen downstairs which was l to use.The fridge in the room was very handy too.You have your own key to the front door, this was great. The bakery/coffee shop beside it is just delightful for breakfast and the owner was so friendly and helpful. There is a receptionist there between 3p.m.- 7p.m.Fantastic restaurant recommendation. Unfortunately they don't have a lift here as there are only a few rooms, we were in room no;1, so the small narrow stairs and two suitcases were negotiated by my husband. Also there is a building site right at the back of the building and along with the noise each morning which starts at 7a.m. privacy was an issue when you forget to close the windows!!Otherwise delightful. |
