Affittacamere Stella is a welcoming guesthouse situated just outside of Lucca’s walls on a quiet little street only a 10 minute walk from the historic quarter. Located 220 yards from Porta Sant’Anna, one of Lucca’s most beautiful town gates, the Stella is housed in an early 20th-century building with wood-beamed ceilings and marble floors. Convenient, the Stella is just a 5 minute walk from the bus station and 15 from the train station. Free parking is available on site, so if you are traveling by car you can leave it at the guesthouse and explore Lucca’s medieval center by foot. Rooms offer modern facilities including free Wi-Fi internet access and the Stella also provides a shared self-service kitchen for you to use. Next door there is also a great pastry shop, perfect for a tasty Italian breakfast. Hotel Rooms: 6 Most recent booking for this hotel was today at 11:46 from Switzerland.

The lady at the desk was very friendly and sincere. The hotel is a short walk from the city walls, and about a 15 minute walk (or 8 Euro taxi ride) from the train station. There's a kitchen, with a fridge, stove, plates, glasses and cutlery; so handy for a making a basic meal in the evening, and breakfast in the morning. Very quaint little hotel, I'd recommend it to anybody on a practical vacation in Lucca. ...kevin

Excellent shower//. When commenting on nocturnal noises from bakery nearby, we were given a different room on other side of hotel//.In the same road is a very good patisserie/cafe. Busy with local people and good food and coffee//. I would have liked a kettle in my room. There is a communal kitchen for cooking and drinks making.

Very clean with friendly, helpful staff. The pastry shop next door is heavenly. It's a ten minute walk to Lucca's gate. We would be happy to stay here again.

Clean and friendly, ideal location for visiting not only Lucca but Pisa and Florence by either bus or train. Also possible to get to Viareggio and Barga. The air-con could have been more efficient. Our room had a small window. Try to get a corner room with two windows.

We stayed there for 3 nights and had a very pleasant stay. Very comfortable, clean and big rooms, free parking, free WiFi in rooms, shared kitchen. Good value for money. Kitchen had only 2 stoves that took a long time to heat up, also they were spaced too close to each other, so it was difficult to use them at the same time.

Close to citywalls. Very clean. Nice central room available to make coffee/breakfast etc. Appartments on base floor were seperated by an old wooden door only.... So you hear every sound in the other room. Could result in a horrible night.

The room was nicely appointed and parking was right next door. The stairs were quite steep in the building and there was no lift. Soundproofing could be better as we listened to a screaming child all night. The patisserie was closed too.

This was a great place to stay, the room was very large and super comfortable, the bathroom almost as big as the room and modern. I loved the house and the common room. No breakfast but a very good and very reasonable patisserie next door. There's a bike rental a few hundred yards away and the house is just a short walk from Lucca's city wall. The house sits on a tiny street but probably because of the patisserie next door it is very loud.

Rooms are just off a busy road and a good walk from the centre of Lucca. To enjoy all the beautiful city of Lucca has to offer then pay a little extra and stay in accommodation within the walls.

The location is excellent. You don't need a car to visit the historical center. It was a Sunday, and although they do not have a person at reception, everything worked perfectly. It was a problem in my case - we had lot of luggage and we had to go up 3 floors...

Room large and very clean. Nice to have a kitchen available to guest. Located out of the city walls but only a 5 -10 min walk from city wall. Excellent bakery next door and local shops just around the corner. Felt very safe. Bus to Pisa airport stops just outside. Staff friendly and English spoken.
