Score from 142 reviews Good
The location was ideal,in the heart of the old town. The room was large with an extra bed(lucky). There was a balcony overlooking the action. The host and hostess were nice.Breakfast was adequate.
A pretty long haul from the Train Station.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Location was perfect. Few steps to main square and place to catch boat. Woken up with church bells! Really good value place to stay.
The breakfast was disappointing if you like to start the day with a healthy meal. Fine if you like cake - a great array. There were other choices but generally didn't hit the spot. Would have loved tea/coffe making facilities in room.
Near the lake's bank Near village squares with excellent restaurants, cafes, gelateries, bars etc
Voices under my windows, but not very late
Great location. Nice staff. Very clean.
A little difficult to find.
Great hotel but hard to find as the name on the booking.com printout was not the name on the door(which was locked on arrival)Checking in is at the restaurant downstairs. great to have an English Chanel on TV.
The shower is disastrous..
Great location, polite staff
Very clean rooms Kind and helpful staff Freedom to come and go at any time Excellent location
Room lighting was rather dim
In the centre of the old town so easy access to shops, restaurants etc. Room was basic but was OK for what we paid. We were able to find good free parking nearby as it is not possible to drive to the hotel itself.
Staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming. No help with getting luggage from car to hotel. Safety deposit box sat on a shelf in the wardrobe, not attached to anything, so not secure, and we kept finding the front door of the premises wedged open so anyone could walk in. Restaurant downstairs a bit noisy at night, and a/c was not adjustable so with windows closed it was rather hot and stuffy. Breakfast, at EU 5, you got what you paid for!
The location. Excellent security and you could get in anytime with a proximity card. Breakfast was ok.
The wifi kept dropping out. Parking is a challenge. Quite noisy.
Stresa is Amazing city for honeymooners mountains and greenery around the hotel nice staff
i paid 125 Euros from malpensa Airport to Stresa for taxi, because of late, while is the bus costs 10 euros only
In centre of Stresa. Clean and tidy rooms.
Noise early morning onwards re.outer facing rooms onto street. No official reception area-positioned within restaurant below-and a little difficult to find re lack of signage; owner also doesn't speak very much English so couldn't get advice if needed. Cool shower/erratic water temperature mix. Lack of drawers for clothing so chose to leave smaller items in suitcase.
Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant, got out of the way to help with parking, flowers, accomodations
Excellent large and clean room. We wanted to stay longer but the place was booked. The owner was kind to direct us to a nice B&B nearby.
Nothing, everything was OK.
Excellent helpful staff. Location in the centre of stresa only a short walk to the ferries. Room was very comfortable. Breakfast adequate. They also offer a 10% discount on meals in their restaurant which is next door and also offer an excellent tourist menu for only 15 euros.
Nothing -even enjoyed the church bells playing"ave maria".
Nice location in the middle of Stresa.
Lovely big bedroom with a large couch and lots of space for luggage. Bathroom was also generous with a shower over the bath. Secure building which was so close to the main square full of shops, restaurants and cafes. Only a few minutes walk to the ferry station. We were able to safely store our luggage before catching a train out of Stresa. We would stay here again.
No windows in the bedroom only in the entry. Couldn't open the windows as there were birds nesting and flying around just outside.
Newly renovated, very clean, comfortable bed. Lovely manager. Air conditioning, which was useful, because the room is in the heart of the old town, which means it can be a bit noisy, so it's useful to shut the window and use the air con.
Wifi was erratic and slow.
Room and bathroom are not small. The double bed is of queensize. There is a refrigerator, a wardrobe and a safe. Wifi is good. A food store is in a walking distance. Many fairly priced restaurants are close.
The shower head is fixed. The shower cabin is too small. The side entrance is not locked. May be a bit noisy at night for some people.
Perfect location! The staff was extremely accommodating and very helpful. The hotel gladly printed out train tickets and even booked our shuttle to Malpensa airport. It is rare to encounter such great customer service. We were very satisfied with our stay. I highly recommend this hotel.
Central location Good Breakfast Good Restaurant Friendly staff
Quite dark in the bedroom- brighter lighting would be better. Small point - no mirror in bedroom. long mirror next to the door could be moved as difficult to access.
Very helpful staff and great location close to train station. Room comfortable and clean
Great location. In the center of Stresa, two minutes from the port and the promenade. We were told by Carlo that there is a free parking at five minutes walking distance from the hotel and it worked. Great friendly staff. We had to go back to the airport in order to change the car and everything was settled by Carlo By phoning to the office in Malpensa.
Taking the lugage to the high first floor without an elevator.
The hotel is located in the center of Stresa, very close to ferries. It has restaurant, and we ate dinner there. Spaghetti Vongole was very delicious.
At breakfast the staffs drink real espresso coffee, while we and other guests drink coffee using instant coffee powder. The bathtub and shower tab need to be repaired. At night we could not sleep well because of noise from restaurant.
location was excellent, close to many restaurants
