Hotel Agnello D'Oro    

This hotel is in a terrific location in the old town of Bergamo - Citta Alta.Room was quite good, bathroom good and spacious. Breakfast was adequate. Staff helpful.Lots of interesting nic nacs obviously accumulated over the lifetime of previous owner.

Need more hooks to hang clothes on, especially in bath room.

The hotel is located in the best place in Bergamo Alta.

Although the hotel has a lot of potential to become great, it needs improvement in the rooms.

I really enjoyed living in the heart of Bergamo historical center. Only 3 min away from the funicular station. The hotel was build in 17th century. Rooms are very clean, breakfast is typical Italian but great.

Perfect location for visiting the lovely old town of Bergamo Alto. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very pleasant room. Good ambience.

wonderful location in a charming olde world street with lots of bars and restaurants and shops. Staff very helpful and welcoming. The room was simple with a little balcony overlooking a fountain.

In general the hotel is centrally located in the old part of town of Bergamo - easy access to all historical areas - overall review nice - breakfast very good. The receptionist provided me with a parking certificate over the whole time of my stay - my car was parked on the other side of the town on a public parking.

Very small room and very noisy. Had to go and buy earplugs after the first night to be able to sleep. It's the noise coming from the street and the fountain right outside that kept me from sleeping. Bathroom in my room was very small and the shower was flooding the whole floor after just a few seconds. The WI-FI provided for free only works in the reception/restaurant area.

Breakfast good. Charming restaurant and entrance. Perfect location. I would only recommend it for its friendly staff, who when I ask if could have a chair to sit outside they quickly set up not only a chair but a table also. Lovely people. Makes up for the tiny bathroom.

Shower was extremely small. If you are a little overweight you will feel like a sausage going into a casing. The bathroom was very narrow.

Restaurant was closed on the Tuesday 16th evening which was not advised on the website so we missed out on tasting the food in their quaint dining area.

The location is excellent for staying in the old part of the city.

Beautiful location in the centre of the lovely Alta Citta in Bergamo. Stones throw from the square. Stayed here as it was close to the airport, but Bergamo is a lovely destination in itself. Food is fabulous! Staff Helpful, Parking arranged.

Room on the small side but being picky here!

Perfect location in the medieval part of Bergamo. Delightful reception area. Warm and welcoming staff. Room was immaculately clean. Good bar for late night drinks. Hotel is warm and cozy and definitely good value for money.

Only one drawback. The tiniest space imaginable is allocated to the bathroom shower, so showering is a cramped experience.

Location excellent, staff very friendly, food in restaurant good, breakfast fine, no ham left, asked for more and no problem providing extra. Hotel nice and warm as cold spell and snow came, when not expected. Would return, if in Bergamo again.

No tea making facilities, but took our own, so no problem, would be nice not to have to pack kettle and mugs in case as space is limited with Ryanair!!!

The location of this simple hotel is superb. We had a very comfortable bed and an old fashioned but adequate bathroom. There was a handheld shower over a narrow bath. Breakfast was simple but adequate.

Location,cost,charm

Absolutely the best thing about the hotel was its location. Just 50-100 metres to the Funicolare station, famous Cavour Pasticcheria or Nessi, Birreria and of course - Piazza Vecchia. Although the personnel didn't speak English well, I found no problem in communicating. Personally I liked the breakfast, which wasn't that 'modest' as I read in the comments before my travel. On contrary - nice and nourishing:) The rest was really ok!

The view from window, which was just a wall of adjacent building. Also the Internet access available only on the ground floor. Next thing was the noise from the another room in the hotel (a crazy woman was laughing and shouting for ~10 minutes:) and from outside of building - this, however, was probably unevitable and did not really disturb that much. There was little space in the room (apart from enormous bed!) - still comfortable though.
