Agora Hostel

I was glad to return to the hostel after each day of geting around and having meetings because I could just shower and go to a bar -restaurant infront of the hostel or just sit in the living room with others with good pizza and a botle of good wine!

They just need to replace old woden lockers in which I would feel safe to put some other things then my clothes!

Good price, in a very good location, really near the center. Good to explore the city. The breakfast is incluse, and is very good!

Was only 2 power jack in the room, and only one was working, being difficult to charge the gadgets. The doors creak.

This was a decent little place in the city. Everything is no more then a 20 minute walk. elle that works the front desk is great. Will tell you any thing you need to know about the area and the culture.

This place is hard to find. Stop at the tourist info office down the main street and they can lead you in. The community bathroom was decently clean. No way to adjust the temp on the sink. The train tracks run right behind the hostel. The noise was minimum.

Great place for the price. I'd definitely stay there again.

Bathroom can get a bit messy when it's very busy.

good value in center city, friendly atmosphere

Hostel is extremely difficult to find. Directions are vague - like stop at a nearby bar and ask for directions (the bar did not know the Agora hostel). The maps for the hotel show only an approximate location in a maze of small streets (and vary from one booking site to other booking sites!) The hostel should state CLEAR, unambiguous directions, perhaps starting from the central cathedral.

Good location in the center of town, next to Piazza Duomo. Budget variant for spend the night.

The only minus is Etna trip, offered by hostel. It was cost 45euros. We were told that we go to Etna but in reality we've seen only National park of Etna. And it was flagrantly that we were misleaded by our guide about hight we stayed at - 2300m (he told) instead of 1500m(in real)!!! It's inexcusable i think.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. They even allowed me to use their computer to print my stuff. :) The Hostel gives dinner and cocktail coupons to the guests so you can eat very cheap and good dinner (except for cous-cous :) with drink and cocktails are for a low price also. (1Person's dinner= 6eur = dinner + drink from a menu sheet. ) ----- Nagyon kedves és segítőkész személyzet. Még nyomtatni is odaengedtek a porta számítógépéhez. :) Jó és olcsó vacsoralehetőséget adnak a szálló éttermében. 6 euróért választhatsz egy étlapról és italt is kapsz hozzá. A kuszkusz kivételével minden kajájuk jó.

Unfortunately, I paid no enough attention so we got a bunk bed -room. The booking.com said that the chosen room had "two separated bed" but it did not think it was a bunk bed. I think this is a bit confusing... (It was the room "ferrero" I suggest you to choose room "Anita" if you want a normal bed) ------ Sajnos a foglaláskor nem figyeltem eléggé (?) és egy emeletes ágyas szobát kaptunk. A boobking.com oldalon az állt, hogy szoba két különálló ággyal, de szerintem ez mocskosul nem emeletes ágyat jelent. Ha biztosra akarsz menni a kétágyas szobákkal, az Anita-szobát válaszd (franciaágyas). Más gondom nem volt a szálllással.

Nice location, nice staff. Everybody is speaking English so good! Its very comfortable to get to the main sightseeings from the hostel. The food is amazing like in the whole Sicily. And right close to the hostel there is a huge bar where they give discounts for people from agora hostel. Very fun and friendly atmosphere. Thanks a lot.

staff ottimo e gentilissimo, posizione perfetta (per chi ama stare al centro in mezzo alla confusione viva), tutto molto carino direi. senza dubbio sono intenzionato a tornarci.

forse forse un pò di miglioramento sui bagni ci starebbe. per il resto (è un ostello) niente che non vada.

Migliorerei I servizi igenici mettendo a portata di mano l'occorrente per la pulizia anche nei bagni come è presente in cucina aggiungendo un distributore di guanti a pagamento - naturalmente -

das externe aber zur alleinigen Benutzung gelegene Badezimmer war sauber und niedlich eingerichtet in der Bar nebenan kann man herrlich den Abend bei einem Glas Wein und Live Musik genießen Der Parkplatzwächter war sehr gut :O) Für eine Nacht OK.

dass die Bahnschienen nur 3 Meter von unserem Zimmer entfernt lagen - sehr laut ab 05.30 Uhr in der Früh

Absolutamente nada, es caotico, acuerdos extraños entre el hostal y alguna asociacion erasmus, nos traen engañados, cerca del hostal hay otro que cuesta 3 euros mas caro, que es mil veces mejor que el hostal agora. unicamente el bar esta bien pero tiene precios exagerados para lo que es

La ubicación no es muy mala pero hay miles de hostales mejores en los alrededores y a igual precio.

No es un hostal, es un albergue juvenil como los que te puedes encontrar en España a 16€ la noche, o en Londres o París por 30€. Este nos costó 50€ en un zulo con 2 literas, alquiler de toallas a 2 € cada una, sin aire acondicionado y con cucarachas corriendo por la cocina. Una pesadilla. En los alrededores nos alojamos en otro hostal al día siguiente por 58€ y se pueden encontrar mil más mejores que éste. No volvería ni lo recomendaría nunca.
