Thrilled with the high standard of our accommodation, it was clean, functional and very relaxing. All perfect. We received wonderful hospitality from Christina, our host. We give the highest recommendation, 10/10.
Thanks Cristina to her great hospitality and readiness to help in any case
I'd read reviews that Cristina was really helpful and it's so true. We were late to the apartments, but Cristina was totally OK about it and still took the time to show us what was what, give us restaurant recommendations and made sure our car was parked in the right place. We were in the quad room, which was really like a mini apartment it was so spacious. And Cristina let us use the kitchen fridge which was great. The rooms were very traditional, which we loved. The apartment itself is in a perfect position. Both Mantova and the apartment was a delightful surprise. We also liked that breakfast was in a local cafe, which meant we could have what we wanted and something different every day. We loved that too! Thanks Cristina.
Perfect location Always helpful Cristina Good quality of accomodation Clean and quiet Feel like home
Lack of instruction regarding having to press the entry button to enter building. Small shower cubicle.
Hotel provided excellent directions for arrival by car via email. Parking permit and ZTL report to police all organised by host. Make sure you have the email from the host before arriving and take note of the time you enter the ZTL
Agora' Residenza was perfect. It's in a great location, close to the Duomo, Palazzo Ducale, and Piazza Erbe, yet on a quiet side street. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, with a large bathroom. Cristina was very welcoming and helpful, suggesting several nearby restaurants and giving other useful information.
Nothing. All good.
Cristina was kind, welcoming, helpful. The apartment was roomy and comfortable.
Mantua... I'd read an article describing it as a "Sleeping Beauty", so maybe my expectations were set too high. I've visited lots of places in Northern Italy and never been disappointed but I'm afraid it left me cold. Still, as far as the apartment is concerned it was all good.
The Agora Residenza is in a cool traffic free little streets a few steps from the heart of Mantova leading on to a plazza, with two other plazzas, one each side including the main Ducale I had a double room, great bathroom with shower,a pleasant lounge with a sofa, which also had an unit which, when the doors were opened, turned our to be a kitchen with fridge, plates etc, saucepans, cutlery sinc and 4 electric burners, It is really having your own very self-contained flat. The pictures show the place well. The furniture is modern, Ikea mainly, and the place is kept spotlessly clean. As I was staying 5 days, Cristina did not charge extra for the use of the kitchen. I enjoyed both the eating out and eating in. Cristina is great, hard working and fun. She marked out a map of the centre showing the local supermarket around the corner which has wonderful fresh produce as well as everything else . Continental breakfast is in a little cafe within the Colonades so you can enjoy two 2 pastries (one sweet and one savoury or "salt" as they are called locally) and your choice of fresh coffee. The cafe opens early, 7 ,, so you can enjoy the cool of the day before it gets too hot. It also means you have room for lunch, and not stuffed full as I end up at a big hotel's buffet which I find hard to resist, and probably eat my day,s worth of calories then. Having your own apartment also meant I could have siestas in the afternoon after lunch and be fresh for the evenings. She also gave good information of places to eat ( generally avoid the touristy overprices places on the main squares,) Cristina booked my shuttle bus ticket to Verona airport on my return home and my boarding card on her computer. That saves queues at the airport. I happen to have had the shuttle bus to myself: for only 5 euros! There is a tourist information centre at the end of the row of shops, and the girl there was very helpful.
Nothing not to like
Christina made us feel really welcome and gave us a great deal of helpful information and discounts for local restaurants. She also made sure we were able to park free of charge during our stay. The apartment was spacious, well-equipped, clean and comfortable and in a superb location in the historic centre of the town while being totally quiet.
Brilliant location, well equipped and comfortable. Highly recommended. Christina (manager) is extremely helpful and made our stay in Mantova better than it would have been without her advice.
Cristina is very helpful, she offered to change booking information even before we got there. The service is impeccable! Cristina also recommended some nearby restaurants and gave us discount cards. The room is spacious and comfortable with all nicely prepared and cleaned facilities. In addition, breakfast is served at nearby bar where you can pick your choices from wide selection of breads, while enjoy Mantova's morning charm.
Perfect location in a manageable small city, very good value, very nice people own the place who are extremely helpful. You have breakfast at a café. The room was very nice and you had the feeling of being in an Italian flat, not a hotel.
Cannot fault it Excellent help from Christina Wonderful spatial apartment Great position
breakfast at the nearby cafe was not very sufficient
The warm welcome and the help which was given to me by Cristina to make the most out of my short stay.
The room was rather dark.
Great central location with comfortable and well equipped rooms. Efficient and friendly welcome from Cristina.
That we were only staying one night!
Everything! Location, Owner's help and friendliness, Mantua itself, is beautiful. Agora Residenza is superb, be quick before it is totally booked.
Location, facilities, cleanliness, Christina was very helpful.
The wi-fi was slow
Safe, convenient location and kind proprietor. You need two days to really enjoy Mantova.
My stay was too short.
The owner, Cristina, was very helpful with everything. The location is superb and the flat very comfortable. The kitchen is very impressive and has anything you need.
It seems restaurant prices in Mantova are above average. Mantova as a city is a little neglected. On the surface, small cities like Bari or Lecce in poorer Mezzogiorno look better than Mantova. Of course Mantova is still a great city of art.
The location was wonderful, a few steps from the center, the main sights, and many piazzas with cafés. An excellent restaurant right across the street. Cristina, the manager, was very friendly, accommodating, and professional.
The lighting in the apartment should be changed. Glaring lights from a ceiling fixture was the only option in the living/dining room, which were not good for comfortable dining or reading. The small lamps on either side of the bed gave out a disco-like array of lights which were also not appropriate for reading.
