Lovely elegant manor on Sicilian hills. Stunning views around! Interesting interior of halls and rooms. Large swimming pool surrounded by greenery and flowers. Magnificent dinner in their own restaurant! Delicious breakfasts. Very tasty wine from their own winery. I would like to stay in this place longer... In my next visit to Sicily I certainly stay here!
Everything was immaculate! Room w/balcony view of mountains, garden & vineyard. Restaurant was phenomenal. Romantic getaway Pool w/hammocks & additional seats. Fresh biscotti in abundance. The locally produced wine (Pianetto Merlot 2011) & olive oil are must tries.
Bikes were old & borderline at best. *A cat roamed freely at dinner. Restaurant hours (7:30pm-9:00) Locating the main gate was a minor difficulty. There isn't much to not like.
The ambience is very calm and very peaceful. We enjoyed a walk in the vine yards in the morning followed by a swim in the enormous pool.Staff very nice
The location was wonderful as was the setting
The service from the staff was outstanding, they were never less than attentive, responsive and they really enhanced our stay. the building is beautiful and set in peaceful and relaxing surroundings. The olympic size pool was breathtaking and a superb way to spend a peaceful afternoon. We enjoyed our room which was spacious and had a wonderful view over the courtyard and hills beyond; it even came well stocked with their own wines - delicious! The road in and out of the hotel was hard work and I recommend never driving into Palermo - a complete nightmare . but this is no reflection on the excellence of the hotel.
Though the food was lovely, it was a slight disappointment that our meals always seemed to be served inside in the quite gloomy dining room. It would have made our stay perfect to be able eat outside sometimes and enjoy the countryside and the views.
This is a beautiful property to stay at in Sicily. We were looking for a peaceful, idyllic escape in the countryside and this is exactly what we wanted. The property has a beautiful, huge swimming pool with stunning views and lovely areas to walk around/sit in. Our room was huge, as was the bathroom and had all the little luxuries of a hotel. Our bed was also very big and comfortable. The room was cool in summer with air conditioning or a fan and quiet, despite opening up onto the courtyard. Wifi worked perfectly. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. Breakfasts were fantastic and we had some great meals at the restaurant (which is open for lunch and dinner). We loved our stay here and is a perfect getaway from busy Palermo.
Wonderful building, lovely grounds, amazing view from our room / balcony, comfortable and huge bed, large bathroom, (we had one of the luxury rooms), peace and quiet, pleasant and helpful staff
The food is not good and the menu is the same each evening. It ruined it for us - we tried to go out to eat on our second night but the taxis come from Palermo (so would have cost eur150). The nearest half decent restaurant is 5-6km but this takes about 20mins to drive as the roads are bendy, so we didn't fancy driving out at night = stuck with restaurant. On the third day we went out for lunch instead and just had a pasta dish in the hotel in the evening. One other couple I heard complained that the menu doesn't change. The pasta is ok, the meat options are tough (steak, pork). Strangely though I had a lovely dessert (pyramid of chocolate). if you want dessert, you have to order it before 9 (the kitchen closes) - I noticed another couple ran into this problem. I don't know why people don't complain about the quality of the restaurant more - especially as you really have to eat there. One other dislike was the shower - alternates between scolding hot and cold - this alone wouldn't have deterred us from going back. Such a shame about the restaurant - I would have loved to go back - the building and setting is so charming
We spent our last three nights of our 20 day Italy trip in Agrirelais Baglio Di Pianetto. Three nights that we will always remember thanks the comfortable and elegant Baglio, the tranquility and serenity of the landscape, the tasty food and fine wine, but most of all, the hard working, extremely efficient and generous Ginevra and friendly competent Daniele. I was impressed that you not only help with luggage at arrival, but you also try to do it at departure. Very few hotels do this. Our superior room was elegant with a large balcony with unobstructed views of the vineyards, winery, valley and the Palermo Hills. Bathroom was spacious with a unique window; I could see the vineyards and valley while washing my teeth. Be sure to visit the winery. The efficient design and size of it (3 levels) was magnificent. The entire roof is covered with solar panels. We got to see the festivities of the last Sunday in May when all the cantinas (wineries) are open to the public. We took several trips in the valley. GPS would take us through different country roads. The road to Santa Cristina Gela was very nice, with views of several lakes. Yes, it is tricky to get to Agrirelais Baglio Di Pianetto but the rewards are plenty. Be sure to use a GPS. I always want to hear the sounds of nature in all my travels, and can actually say, here the only sound was the clang clang of the goats. This is truly a Relais du Silence – Silencehotel. Thank you Ginevra and Daniele for a wonderful stay.
Very personal service.
It is like Paradisum...in middle of nothing, piece, nature and beuatiful ambiente of Agrirelais...
A wonderful hotel in a beautiful surrounding of vineyards, great rooms and restaurant, warm welcoming by Danielle. Hope to stay there again for a longer period.
Excellent situation for views and countryside.
