The room, location, management, cleanliness, surrounding views, clossness to Pienza, the seasonal weather; perfect time to see Tuscany! Sleep quality would have been excellent if we had been better rested to begin with.
Swimming pool was on the cool side (season) and the road into the property was steep in places but fun to navigate!
Beautiful views from our room. Monica was very welcoming and helpful and the breakfast delivered to our door at 0830 was absolutely delicious.
great service from owner
No screens in windows. Might detract form the wonderful views, but insects coming in the room were an annoyance
I particularly enjoyed the breakfast brought to the room in a picnic basket. It was a relaxing and enjoyable stay in the countryside.
There wasn't anything that I didn't like.
I loved it there. Very well preserved farm with beautiful views on surrounding hills. All in the middle of countryside, perfectly tranquil. You can set yourself by the swimming pool, get the wine and listen only to the flies. The owner is very nice.
The location near Pienza in the most beautiful part of Tuscany, the view of the valley and Monte Amiata, the space outside to eat, the peace and quiet, the beautiful surroundings
I cannot say enough positive things about agriturismo Cerreto, Monica and her family. We had a small apartment with kitchen/dining room, bedroom and bathroom. It was very spacious and clean and has all the facilities you can ask for. It felt like home. The house and the garden were gorgeous and tidy. It has the charm of rural Italian houses while still being comfortable and up to date (free Wi-Fi). The pool area was also really nice and it was nice to take a dip with the hot weather. Monica and her whole family went out of their way to help us and provide a comfortable stay. We didn't own a car so sometimes they would drive us to Pienza, which was a great help. They were so friendly and the service is the best! The breakfast was filling and delicious with cakes, yoghurts and bread and drinks. It is a great start of the day and the best breakfast I have had at any accommodation. The surroundings of the place are gorgeous; the Tuscan hills and Pienza are nearby. TL;DR Great service, great place, awesome. Totally recommend!!
Nothing. Here are some tips though: The bed makes slight screeching noises when you move so my friend couldn't sleep well. I popped in some earplugs and had no problem with it. So bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. There are a lot of bugs since it is in the countryside, so when you leave the window open make sure to bring some repellent. Go with a car! Because of Monica, her husband and her son we were able to go from the agriturismo to Pienza because they were so sweet to bring us there. But it is so much easier to bring your own car.
The family was very nice and property very diverse. Quiet at night and gave us a free bottle of their wine.
Wish they had some type of on site dinner option to eat local food.
The best place I have ever been to. Monica is very helpful. We got free upgrade for our honeymoon. The place is really beautiful, quiet and magic. I can just highly recommend it as the best place near Pienza and maybe one of the best in Val D'Orca.
Outstanding place, beautiful view, quietness, delicious breakfasts, friendly atmosphere, helpful owners
The house, the pool, the garden, the views, the peace!
The breakfast! When they say local food I was expecting pecorino and prosciutto but it was regular butter, home made jam and bakery. I would put less bakery and more fruits or cheese... but not their fault.. it looks like ITalian breakfast is like this...
An absolutely glorious location, perfect tranquility. Monica was a great host who adapted breakfast to suit our tastes in a fantastic basket we enjoyed outdoors. A fantastic guide to the region was put together by the hosts which provided brilliant tips on where to eat and what to see.
Monica was very helpful and kind Authentic Tuscan feeling Very nice garden surrounded by olive trees and wineyards Good wine and home made oilve oil Near the lovely Pienza, ideal to visit Montalcino and Montepulciano too
Breakfast could be a bit more abundant (however we were offered to change part of it)
Hostess's desire to please us. Breakfasts Swimming pool Location out in the country So quiet and restful after a day of touring.
Wifi was spotty.
Everything! This was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The facilities were excellent (BBQ, pool, little shop for Agriturismo Cerreto wine & oil, wifi, games) and attention to detail was very impressive - your needs were well anticipated.
The only negative was having to leave at the end of our holiday....
Beautiful property, rooms were pretty spacious, decorated with antiques. Loved taking our breakfast basket out to the garden for breakfast. Their homemade orange marmalade was my favorite. Owner was lovely and very helpful. Close to Pienza, but very much in the countryside. Good location to explore the Val d'Orcia area. I would definitely return.
Arrive during daylight or you'll have a hard time finding the turn off.
The location. We had a GPS which took us directly to the house. What an amazing old farm house! It was remodeled, of course, but you could just imagine it a few hundred years ago. The grounds and the vistas were beautiful. We also enjoyed tasting the bounty of this working farm. What a lovely breakfast! We were wishing we had planned on staying here several nights. Maybe another time.
The location was gorgeous and we loved staying in a old Tuscan farmhouse that has been well maintained. The proximity to Pienza and Montepulciano are wonderful for day trips in the area. The breakfast is fresh and delicious and delivered in a basket to your door each morning. My children enjoyed the soccer goals out back and walking around through the forests picking wildflowers. Tuscany is truly our favorite place in Italy and Pienza is one of our favorite towns.
The price is a bit steep; I made a mistake and thought I booked 2 nights then when I checked it was only 1 night for the price so I was not getting as good of deal as I thought. I would not have booked it if I had realized the true price for each night. In my research I know there are better deals to be had. We did have a wonderful stay though and if I was splitting the cost with someone I may be able to justify the price in returning again. I am only wary of returning because of the cost otherwise we had a wonderful stay and my family loved staying in the countryside.
Breakfast not too rich and with not much variety. They did not come to pick up the breakfast which they deliver in the room the day after.
