We were looking for a small, quite place to use as a "home base" while exploring Tuscany and I Pini provided every thing we needed and more. It was particularly nice to unwind in the afternoons on the patio or by the pool, admiring the San Gimignano skyline and sipping some of I Pini's private label wine. Our hostess, Wally, just could not do enough to insure that our stay was exactly what we hoped for. We absolutely would go back again.
The only (minor) flaw at I Pini was that you had to get out of your car every time to open the driveway gate when entering the property.
I Pini Agriturismo B&B was excellent! We loved being on a working farm where we were welcomed by the Manager "Wally". The location was a short walk (maybe a mile) to San Gimignano where there is lots to do. Every morning we had a delicious breakfast on the terrace and had the opportunity to meet other guests. The pool was very inviting but we were too busy exploring the countryside to take advantage of it. The best part of the stay was dinner prepared daily by Wally. We had the option of eating out but the food was so fabulous we came back every evening for dinner on the patio and to drink some local wine. The room was comfortable and clean. All in all a great value and great experience!
- The breakfast was so poor. The orange juice was so old that was literally sparkling. - The bed makes more sound than a baby elephant trying to call its mom, not to mention that it was so unconfy that we had to put the mastress on the floor. It's the first time I write a review, but it was the worst experience I had with a B&B. I would definitly recommend it to my worst enemy.
Enjoyed the beauty of the surroundings, and the fact that this was only a 15 minute walk to San G. Breakfast was nice out on the patio and had warm rolls and eggs etc.
Beautiful pool - never busy Great location, five mins drive from town with a car park rught at the top of the road for easy access into town Really peaceful with amazing views The honesty fridge was a great idea Very relaxing on all levels
Air conditioning would have been nice as the fans in the rooms did not work very well and were noisy It would have been nice to be able to get a light lunch if possible or have a fridge in the room so we could do our own
Loved the breakfast options and the spectacular views. Staff was very welcoming and always ready to provide tips.
A little tricky to find.
Exellent quality of biological wine and olive oil (own produce), biological product being served (eggs, fruits). excellent service from staff and very nice house lady making sure you feel good. Make sure you try the scrambled eggs... delicious! Quietly located on slope of Tuscany hills proving great views on the medieval town of San Gimignano. A real recommendation for a relaxing stay.
Pool area is beatiful, seperated in shallow and deeper area: deeper area could be bigger. However, it does the job: nice refreshing and clean.

Located down un adopted road just to far from San Gimnagno to walk No wifi Small slightly stuffy room
Excellent service and relaxing atmosphere in close proximity to one of the most beautiful cities in Toscana.
Nice location, very friendly staff, calm peace, excellent wine...
I Pini was a great place to stay during our holiday. The tranquility of the place and its surroundings, does not reflect that it is only 2 km from San Gimignano. I Pini's host is wonderful. She deals with any request with a smile and adds to the relaxed atmosphere of the property. Very good restaurant recommendation in San Gimignano. She gave us a lift into town, got us paracetamol when my partner was sick and makes good cappuccino. The pool has an amazing view of the town and the villa is a wonderful place to relax.
A little kettle in the room would have been useful so you don't feel like you're pestering the host all the time. Wifi does not work in rooms.
Beautiful serene location. The friendly hostess seemingly keeps the place ticking over; welcomes guests, prepares breakfast and cooks evening meals with local ingredients. Wifi is strong in the rooms.
It was such a picturesque place ,set on the hillside opposite San Gimignano and surrounded in olive groves and vineyards. We enjoyed taking our breakfast outside and sitting on the patio and being surrounded by such lovely views.
The location is excellent, within walking distance of San Gimignano. Nice swimming pool. Friendly staff.
The ventilation in the room was poor. Difficult to sleep when it is so hot - can only be done with the windows and doors wide open.
Beautiful scenery, rolling hills with vineyards and olive trees. 20 minute walk to the walled city. Staff very nice. Very quiet location if you want to relax! Nice pool.
Ceiling fan only in room and was a bit noisy to run all night. So got a bit hot during the night as no air conditioning. Our gps did not find it so a sign on the street corner would have been helpful (near the square)
