Great facility. Very clean and nice. Very spacious and well furnished. Fully equipped with everything you may need. The owners offer high quality cheese, wine and olive oil at very reasonable prices. Once there, do not miss the opportunity to buy some. Difficult to find. Do not use Google maps, as it brings you to a different location if you type the address directly in it. They really push you to leave until 10.30, which is quite early.

Wonderful family-owned facility, perfect location, and splendid breakfast options. I am 6'4 in height and the metal foot-board on the bed made it a bit difficult to sleep comfortably in the bed without crowding my wife.

No doubt the home-made breakfast is the most attractive thing that impressed us. The kitchin enable us to make our favorite food if you are coming from outside of Italy. I planned to stay there for three nights, however we found out there's no daily cleaning service even they know we cook everyday in the kitchen. There's no staff in the so-call lobby except Breakfast time so if you need immediate service, not easy. The weather is very cold around 3'c but the blank is not enough, so we spent a very cold night with the not enough heater provided. Another frustrated experience is when we made a phone call to the hotel owner asking for changing the towel, he didn't tell us it would lead to additional charge of euro10 per person, so when we checked the bill, the unexpected additional euro 20 made us feel bad and then they explained that they put the tariff on the table of kitchen. However we hate to found that tariff was hided in a folder that put in the corner of the table! Anyway, the room rate is not worthy at all without standard nor professional hotel services provided. So we decided to leave the hotel after 2 nights though we paid for 3 nights.

Brilliant Accomodation in the Tuscan country side. The facilities and grounds were in imacculate condition - breakfast in the morning was a perfect start for the day. Loads of homemade treats/tarts from the mother of the house hold. Staff were super friendly and very helpful with all our questions. This is a working Olive and wine farm - take a walk down to the olive mill to see the prodution of the oil, very interesting. Pienza town centre is 1km up the road, perfect for evening meals at the trattoria.

The location is very good and close to Pienza city center. (only 1km away) with easy road to drive with your car. (most places there are very isolated and the road is bumpy). Rooms are clean and there is also a tea room available all day. The owner is helpful and showed us some places to visit on the map. Good value for money place and would like to come again! sometimes wifi stops working. If that happens call the owner and he will come to fix it.

This was our first time at a Agriturismo and it was fantastic, easily the best B&B of our two week trip. The accommodation was spacious and well stocked, breakfast was plentiful and varied. Francesco and the staff were very helpful by recommending restaurants and places of interests. The location was breathtakingly beautiful.

A beautiful location in the hills of Tuscany, quiet and serene, with vistas of the surrounding hills. Convienent to the wine regions and Siena. The family provides a bounty of homemade breakfast items. A place to take a break from the rigors of travel in the cities. The apartment was clean and well organized.

Amazing experience! We were late checking in and even though we couldn't get anyone on the phone to inform them of our late arrival, Il Macchione happily met us at the reception that evening with no issues. Our apartment was the perfect size for our small family of two adults and one infant, and he even made sure we had enough room for our daughters pack n play. The apartment had a wonderful selection of local wines and even a tester bottle of their very own olive oil. The property had a beautiful pool but of course in October, it was not in use. The views were astounding and it was perfectly situated just outside of the bustling center of Pienza, and we could have walked into town easily. The best part of our stay was by far the amazing breakfast spread they laid out every morning. Every kind of tart, torte, bread, fruit, yogurt, juice, cheese and jam you could think of. Plus there was someone who made us fresh cappuccinos every morning! For the price, it was well worth it and we would stay here again in a heartbeat!! Hard to contact Il Macchione prior to arrival.

It is outside Pienza, a lovely small town in Tuscany. The home is lovely and the breakfast is sumptuous . They will give you a tour of their olive pressing facility..very informative. Took a bit to find the exact right road outside Pienza.

Our stay at Agriturisimo Il Macchione was outstanding. The room was an apartment where we could have stayed for a week! We thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of Pienza, which is strategically located midpoint between Montalcino and Motepulciano and the guest house and hosts were fabulous. Thus it could be used as a central position to stay and travel within Tuscany. They were very attentive to the guests, the breakfast was excellent with many homemade cakes and treats, and the apartment exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend staying at Il Macchione.

Agriturismo Il Macchione is a really nice place. Out room was equipped with a kitchen and a separate bed room, everything in old-school granny style, in a comfortable way. The whole place has a very traditional atmosphere. The best thing was the breakfast: We were served 6 different kinds of homemmade cake and homemade cheese. The agriturismo is located close to the beautiful city Pienza and one has a nice panorama of tuscany hills all around the house. I also tried their wine and olive oil, both is delicious and they sell it at reasonable prices. The whole playe is run by a nice family. My talkative girlfriend had a lot of questions about their oil and wine business and they answered them quite patiently. :) There are private parking lots available for free. Our room was equipped with free wifi internet. I can really recommend this place. The bed was a little squeaky. :)

What an incredibly beautiful location. The building has such a great history, and has been renovated with great care. It is extremely comfortable, and the kitchens are fairly well equipped. The pool is exquisite, and the grounds are lovely. Francesco and his Father were very welcoming and accomodating. Breakfast had a good selection and the pastries made by Francesco's Mother are delicious. Considering the first class accomodations, the price is extremely reasonable. We will recommend to everyone.

The 2-bedroom apartment is spacious and has a well-furnished kitchen. This enabled us to prepare our own dinner, have a pleasant time in the garden, and appreciate the true beauty of Tuscany. We did enjoy our stay here and many many thanks to the nice host and staff. We had our best breakfast here during our 17 days in Italy. They offered awesome homemade cake, pastry, and a wide variety of choices. It was a real surprise! The view is unbeatable,of course! It is an unforgettable experience for our family! Though there was no air conditioning, or fan, we still fell asleep without any difficulty. Just open the windows and let breeze in! Can you imagine a beautiful agriturismo with ugly ac?
