Agriturismo Il Melograno

The property was beautiful and the apartment excellent. We had 4 in our group so it fit our needs perfectly. Little home grown shop on property so we could cook in the apartment effortlessly. We had a car so location was not too far from Venice.

Internet was rather spotty, had to go in the hallway to connect.

we liked everything! Gianni (the owner) is a lovely person and very helpful regarding anything in Venice - transport links, restaurants, gondola rides etc. Apartment is spacious and very clean and has anything you may need. Nice outdoor area where you can do your barbecue or just relax with a cup of tea in the evening. Transport to Venice is very convenient - the bus runs every 15 minutes and it takes you 20 minutes to get there. We will come back one day!

Nothing to note

What a hidden gem this place is: away from the Hustle & Bustle of Venice but close enough to travel by bus. Stands out when you arrive as pleasing to the eye coupled with the quiet, away from it all feeling is very relaxing. Gianni is a super host and his advice is all well worth taking note of, for visiting local restaurants and bus trips to the city. Airport is a 10min drive away and Gianni will shuttle you if you wish.

The owner, John was extremely accomodating. The apartment was very clean and decorated beautifully. If we ever get back up towards Venice, we would definitely stay at Agriturismo Il Melograno again!

In my opinion, Il Melograno in Tessera is the perfect place to avoid the crowded city of Venice and enjoy a relaxing and wonderful time. I stayed here for 2 nights with my wife and my 2 kids (5 and 7 y/o) and had an excellent time visiting Venice and avoiding the crowds (just a 15 mins. Bus ride to Venice). The place is super clean, comfortable and the location is just perfect with several restaurants and stores around. Price was spot on and the service was outstanding. The owner, Gianni, was very helpful and nice. He has a nice little bio store in the building promoting his own products (vegetables) plus other stuff like bio wine and bio beer. Bottom line, I'd definitely go back to Il Melograno and absolutely recommend this place to friends and family. One more thing to mention, they do not offer food service but you have a fully equipped kitchen in the room to do your own cooking if you don't feel like going out to eat and fyi, this is not a con for me. Excellent Place. We recommend these apartments to stay if you want a place amazing, pleasureful, clean and very relaxing. The owners are so kind, we visit the place once and we wouldn't hesitate to stay one more time. If you have a small child, like ours (2 years old), the place is absolutely safe and spacious, there is much more space for them than any other hotel could offer you.

Jinny was very very helpful, it was a beautiful quiet place to rest up before flying to New York , hobby also suggested a fantastic resturant just up the road where he dropped us off and picked us up, probably the best meal and value for our whole 2 weeks in italy

Very easy to find, quiet spot, very easy to get to Venice - car park next to bus stop which took you straight into Venice, car park only cost 5 euro for the whole day. Bus ticket only 2.60 euro return - bus runs till past midnight and frequent. Lovely rooms/decoration, good kitchen area for use especially with children. Also has nice farm shop selling farm produce. Very friendly and helpful.

This place is fantastic. The apartments are well furnitured, very clean and comfortable. The area outside is green and spacious full with trees and grass. The apartments are very close to the bus stop and in the same time in quiet and beatiful place. The owners are so kind and friendly people - Thank you Gianni and Michela for your attitude and care! Excellent service. Good value

It is really close to Venice, 10 minutes in car, 20 minutes in a bus. But they give you a really nice 2 bedroom apartment with a living room, in a super new and nicely done building in the middle of the beautiful italian country side. We reserved it last minute -everything was full and this popped up-, and did not know what to expect. We arrived, and we were so amazingly surprised! We had stayed the night before in Venice itself, and it was an old, expensive and runned down place for over $140 a night. A place like this in Venice would have costed us $400. This was 10 minutes away, in a place that for itself is nice, for less than the ugly hotel in Venice. Very good option.

We had a car, so it was easy. If you are in Venice just one night, maybe stay in the island. But for 2 or 3 nights, this is fantastic, since is an apartment.

Writing in English, so that non German speaking travelers can read it also. We stayed at the Agriturismo Il Melograno for 3 nights. The appartement is placed in the vicinity of Venice (approx. 30 min. by bus). The spacious apartments are furnished in Mediterranean style and are very clean. The apartment is privately owned by a family with young children (their house is built on the same premises). On the ground floor of the apartment house there is a small shop, where you can buy local wine and vegetables that the owners grow by themselves. Upon arrival the owner shows you what there is to know about the local infrastructure on a map. After that you know where to find the nearest restaurants, cash dispensers, supermarkets, bakery (open from 7:30h), bus lines to venice and where you can park your car for free at the bus stop. In case you travel without car (airport is near, but almost no plane noise), the owner offers a free shuttle service to/from the nearest bus station – just ask him. We had a car, but went to Venice by bus and left our car at the bus station. The vaporetto tickets (boats) for venice are also valid for the bus from the apartment to Venice and back. Thus we saved the whole - very expensive parking fees - and spent the money on a nice dinner in Venice instead. Each is equipped with a TV, Microwave, air condition, safe (no extra cost), small citchen and even WLAN (no extra cost). WLAN is fast and stable enough for Skype and even my VOIP account worked flawlessly. We will definitely return to Agriturismo Il Melograno. I have already recommended it to my family and friends. It’s the perfect place to stay when you to travel to Venice with great value for money.

For being so close to the airport, the apartments are very quiet. Spacious and clean. We did not have a phone so the owner borrowed us his extra cell phone. He dropped us off at the bus station, we spent the day in Venice, and then called him on our way home--he was waiting at the bus station. He helped us with maps, restaurants, and schedules. Then, he was available to drive us to the airport. Very, very nice stay.

Our GPS took us near, but not quiet to the apartments. I would try of get a map of the area or contact the owner for specific directions before heading out.

Host was very accommodating. Provides shuttle service for free to bus stop to Venice and very reasonable from cruise port and airport. We stayed in Venice after flying in and got lost with our suitcases off the vaporetto. Not hard on our 30 yr old children, but we oldsters had a time trying to lug our suitcases up all those stairs. If you intend to cruise from venice (we must have our clothes) and are over 40, I recommend staying here and avoiding the confusion of Venice alleys with your bags. Book early, he only has 4 places!

Not too close if you want to just explore on foot

The apartment was large .The kitchen was great. We found having a car made it easy to get to the supermarket when we needed too or grab a Pizza if we didnt want to cook.The bus stop to go in to Venice was a little to far to walk 20min if you have children and want to get going early also it feels alot longer walk when you have been walking around Venice all day.Even though we could arrange to be dropped off by the owner who was very helpful. The Airport is very close (but near heard a plane) You could easly pick up a rental car there and drive to the apartment. There is more to see around the area than just Venice and with a car you will see so much more within a short drive from the apartment Riviera Del Brenta is beautiful (stra Villa Pisani) is a must see. I would stay there again we loved it.

Reasonable price for the services given,fully equipped kitchen and as soon as we arrived the manager over there gave us a very detailed explanation of venice and nearby places.his tips were really useful. this hotel is outside venice(tessera) but easily accessible by bus which is wise as parking your car in venice will turn out to be very expensive and difficult.

Precies wat onze verwachtingen waren. Uiterst vriendelijke eigenaar, en schoon appartement. Veilige (op eigen terrein) parkeerplaats voor de auto. Op een kleine 5 minuten rijden van het centrum, waar ook een prima supermarkt is. Onze trip was naar Venetie. Gegaan met de auto naar Mestre. Afstand ongeveer 10km. (Tegenover het station een afgesloten parkeergarage 14,00 euro voor de hele dag in het weekend. Door de weekse dagen goedkoper). Met de trein (10 min) naar Venetie voor 1,20 euro P.P. Appartement: Goed afgesloten kamers, Ruime kamer met zit gelegenheid, tv en complete keuken. Geen broodrooster en geen waterkoker. Badkamer is schoon en ruim. Shampoo en doucheschuim zelf meenemen. Handdoeken aanwezig. Douche met genoeg warm water. Safe (kluis) is klein, geen ruimte voor een laptop. Internet is niet te sterk, maar voldoende.
