Food, service, facility and ambiance were all wonderful. We enjoyed everything about our stay. The staff could not have been nicer, or the food any better. The walking paths are great and scenic beauty is impressive. The rooms are beautifully built, modern and quiet. We met another couple there with similar interests and had a delightful time.

A GPS made finding the location easy enough, but without one it may be difficult.

What can I say, we were welcomed like old friends. Agriturismo La Ginestra is a family run farm/hotel and what a wonderful family. The son was our gracious host, the daughter our very friendly, informative dinningroom server serving the delicious regional food cooked lovingly by the beautiful Mama. It just happened to be the 94th birthday of the grandfather the first night we were there so we got to see the whole family celebrate, Italian style. Our room was tastefully decorated with lots of the beautiful chestnut wood indigenous to the region and we had glorious views of the farm and mountains from our windows. We had only intended staying for one night but could not drag ourselves away so stayed on until we had to leave for Tuscany. It was our first visit to Molise and I joked about not telling anyone how beautiful the region is but that would be selfish, so go and experience something new and wonderful! If you are a family looking for a country holiday and wanting to introduce your children to animals and country life this is the place they are all set up for children too with lots for them to see and do. It was so different to anything we had done before and I was so glad to come across it via the site. Go to Molise, stay at Agriturismo La Ginestra. You will have a wonderful time. Franki Aston

The Agriturismo is not in the city center, but it was very easy to find because there are signs leading you directly there. When we arrived, we were offered some coffee and pastries (on the house) before heading up to the room. The room itself was spacious, warm, and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, the TV showed all the necessary soccer games, and the towels were big and soft. We headed next door for dinner where the owners provided us with an amazing multi-course meal that included meats smoked on site, vegetables grown on the farm, and homemade pasta and ice cream. The dinner, including a large bottle of wine, only cost 44 euro for two people. The breakfast, which was included in our reservation, featured a variety of pastries, fruit, and yogurt. Even though Cercemaggiore might seem out of the way, staying here is well worth it. Plus, there's an amazing Roman site nearby in Sepino.

Words can not express my feelings toward Agriturismo La Ginestra. In many years of business and leisure travel, I have never found such hospitable, friendly, and helpful people. As another reviewer noted, they treat you like family. In my case, they even found a government official to help track down a distant relative of mine in a nearby town. Milena, Pino and the family are absolutely amazing. My three nights and four days in Cercemaggiore were not nearly enough time, and leaving back for Rome and the airport felt like I was leaving my family behind.

The room was well equipped, clean and very comfortable. The food in the restaurant on the farm was superb, all locally produced and freshly prepared. Though we only stayed the one night on route to Apulia, we really enjoyed the genuine hospitality of the family owners.

Very comfortable, extremely clean, family owned and run business with a clear passion for everything they do - really pleased we booked La Ginestra.

It was absolutely perfect for what we needed - we were a group working in the area and regret not being able to sample their food in the restaurant!

There is not enough room here for me to even start on how good this place is. If you have always wanted to have the feel of the Italian country side and it's cuisine from home, then you have to experience this place. Out in the country side about a five minute drive to the nearest town. We had dinner at the hotel served to us by the people who harvested, grew, prepared and cooked our meals. They made you feel like you were part of the family and always stopped to take the time and see that everything was up to scratch. Very polite and I would most certainly stay there again the next time I pass through the countryside of molise. WiFi was super fast and tv actually picked up stations clearly. Hard to believe for the country side but it was actually the best reception by far out of all our travels through Italy.

Agriturismo La Ginestra is a working farm and the accommodation is in a very old restored building, all very nicely done. It is a family farm with three generations living there. It has a restaurant attached where all the food and wine is produced on the farm and cooked by the mother. We had a fantastic meal with lovely wine and would have loved to have had the time to stay longer, although it would not have improved our waist line! Very highly recommended.

This was of our best experiences ever. We enjoy meeting people of different cultures and travel abroad quite a lot. We really felt like we were visiting family ven though we could not understand them. The country side is beautiful although Lonely Planet described the area as not recommended and the lack off tourists is what we prefer. It was the perfect stopover en route from Sorento to Rome and we will really be back to explore the Molise province again.

We were the only guests during our stay, but the attention to make sure we were looked after did not diminish. Dinner at night turned out to be with the extended family, and was very special.

La cortesia e la disponibilità dello staff a gestione familiare all'interno della cornice di una vera e propria oasi di ristoro e benessere. La degustazione delle tipicità enogastronomiche molisane tra cui spicca il mitico digestivo brevettato dai proprietari "LA ZOLLETTA"...Da provare! ;-)

Tout était parfait ! Le personnel acceuillant et souriant. Le petit déjeuné salé ou sucré avec les fromages et produits locaux.! Les produits de la ferme et un conseil : Goutez et achetez le vin de la propriété "Il Tintillio ". On y reviendra très rapidement je l'espère Merite quelques étoiles en plus !

Non vi e' mai nessuno alla reception abbiamo dovuto telefonare , poi il proprietario ci ha consigliato di pranzare li ,data l'abbondanza stesso il proprietario ci ha detto che potevamo usufruire del secondo di sera per cena la sorpresa che ci ha fatto pagare il secondo piatto di sera come pasto completo.-

Si mangia bene, sono gentilissimi, ma nel mio caso era abbastanza lontano e collegato male con la mia sede di lavoro.

Tutto perfetto ! Eccellente la struttura ricettiva e ottima la cucina nel ristorante sempre gestisto dagli stessi proprietari. La titolare Milena, una ragazza gentilissima e allo stesso tempo molto professionale cura gli ospiti in sala. Consigliatissimo,per chi deve recarsi su Campobasso; con lo stesso budget per una sola notte con colazione in un alberghetto del capoluogo, alla Ginestra ci fai anche la cena ( acqua e vino compresi ) e che cena ! Tutto buonissimo e cucinato al momento davanti ai clienti. Non appena avremo la possibilità di tornare in Molise ci torneremo sicuramente. A presto.
