Not a thing. This was exactly what we wanted. To experience Tuscany as it should be. I can't fill 200 characters with negative thoughts as there weren't any. Please try an visit Stefano. I know I would love to return there and have wonderful memories of our vacation at Agriturismo Poggiacolle
This was just what I wanted when I decided to stay on a farm in Tuscany. This whole experience was magical. Stefano, the owner, couldn't have been nicer, friendlier, more accommodating, adorable! The place was down a dirt road and up a dirt hill by car, but you're going through olive groves and a vineyard!! He had a covered car port for our rental car. The check in was seamless. He gave us a sample of the Vernaccio wine that's produced on the farm and a bottle of wonderful olive oil, also from the farm. There are 2 main buildings where the rooms are. Ours was on the second floor and had a dreamlike view of the town of San Gimignano. Like a postcard! The bed was very comfortable, the furnishings rustic. Outside our room was a community dining room with an old fireplace, dining room table with many chairs, fridge, sink, stove and all dishes, glasses, etc. You could buy food and cook it yourself, but we just used it to store our wine and cheese purchases. There is a spiral staircase to the top floor sitting room, again with a lovely view. Every morning Marcella (who doesn't speak English) who lives at the farm made breakfast. Pastries, prosciutto, cheese, rolls, cappuccino, in the other building. This room had several tables of 2-6 and was adorned with antiques, maps of Italy, and photos of prior guests. For our last evening Stefano made a reservation for us to dine at Le Vecchia Mura, a beautiful restaurant in town. I only wished we could have seen the view from this terraced restaurant which overlooked the hills around town
The location was perfect. About 2 km from the town of San Gimignano which is just beautiful and charming. We had an easy time driving everywhere in Tuscany from here and the roads are well marked.
