This lucky position offers easy access to the ancient colony of Tindarys (Greek theatre, Roman villa and Sanctuary of the Madonna Nera), Capo Calavà, Milazzo, Taormina, Mount Etna and Cefalù, as well as the Aeolian Islands, which can be reached either independently or visited on day trips organized through the Agriturismo and the tickets are available on the premises.

The accommodation is provided in enchanting and secluded old farmhouses furnished with all modern comforts while maintaining a delightful original Sicilian-style aristocratic look: all this adorned by flowers, and submersed in palm trees, olive, orange and lemon groves and vineyards, in the most classic Mediterranean way, with full and easy access to swimming pools, tennis court and restaurant.

The restaurant is located in a 100 year-old renovated olive oil production plant, which still displays the ancient machinery and offers great traditional Sicilian cooking.

Highlights are special wine, such as the Nero d'Avola and other genuine Sicilian house wines.

Area information

The Aeolian Islands can be reached in just one hour by boat from Gioiosa Marea or Milazzo: there are 7 volcanic islands offering different views.

Cefalù is also only an hour by car, it deserves a visit for its seaside, cathedral and small alleyways.

In addition, you can take day excursions to: Palermo; Taormina; Monreale; Erice; Selinunte; Segestum; Agrigentum; the Valley of the Temples; Piazza Armerina; Syracuse; Noto (Baroque Art); and other splendid Sicilian localities.

Travel information

By Car:
Take the Messina-Palermo A20. Exit the motorway at Patti. At the junction turn left following the S.S.113 in direction Palermo for 4 kilometres. At S. Giorgio junction turn left and pass under the railway bridge. Turn left and follow signs for AGRITURISMO S. MARGHERITA.
Drive up the hill for around 2 km and you will find the hotel.

By train:
Patti - S.Piero Patti station is 4 kilometres away.
