Hotel Airone offers budget accommodations in a great location close to the Vaporetto (water bus) stop and just across the bridge (Ponte degli Scalzi) from Santa Lucia Station. Location was great, right beside the train station and restaurants. Woke up after the 1st night covered in bites from something. The mangaer was great however and moved us rooms, refunded the full stay and paid chemist fees. Beds were not very comfy and the covers were too small for the beds.

Location, it was very central Reception was in an adjacent hotel which was confusing. Room was small and dark and urgently needed upgrading. Ensuite bathroom inadequate.

Location and price. It is right across the Grand Canal from the train station, and a five minute walk from the bus terminal. The price was lower than others in the area. In-room bathroom and shower were passable despite warnings by other reviewers. If you are young or very tolerant of poor accommodations, this is a good choice, as the price is hard to beat. Dump your bags and explore the city on foot. If you care where and how you sleep, look elsewhere. The small rooms were grimy without being dirty - the walls are upholstered with cloth which gives the place a mothball feel. The staff uses some foul-smelling detergent to clean that smells like somebody spilled a bottle of grappa in the room. The beds were awful and offered no back support whatsoever. In fact the beds in our room were the type usually offered as "extra" beds for children - a mattress and a spring base which sags through when an adult lays down on it.

The location adjacent to train station and airport bus, as well as water busses. It is a fair walk to St Marks square, but as this is always interesting this is not a problem. At the time of year we were there, it is one of the few hotels whose price will not make your eyes water. I am indicating a yes I would recommend this hotel with the proviso that you realise what you are getting, and that this is cheap basic accommondation. Facilities are very basic, and reflect the prices charged. Very low security for belongings. Beds not designed for romantic couples. Not enough shared bathroom facilities for the number of quests.

The room is lovely, clean and comfortable. The location is good, easy to find. There are only two toilets and one bathroom in the whole storey.

Only Location... Bed was too noisy.....no sope and shamop in washroom...and one more thing is hote has reserved one night room charge 11 days before...why I dont know coz. We have booked free cancelation until...so there is no need to reserve amount before 11 days check in..

The hotel is very close to the bus-station and it is basically one of the original Venetian house, so super nice! Also, you have a great view to Grand Canal. The decoration comes with the room and the atmosphere of Venice. It is very easy to access to many historical buildings, major roads, restaurants, boats, shopping centers, main train station and main bus station. All in all, I really liked the hotel and enjoyed staying there. There are two major problems: 1. It does not have any Wireless Internet Connection 2. This hotel does not have a real reception and you should go to Hotel Canal (which is very close) and they give you a key for entrance door and for your room.

It was close to the auto park, so you had a minimum distance to drag your luggage. It was in disrepair, tv did not work, heat was not adjustable, so we had to open the window to cool it down.

From the very beginning I chose this hotel because of the low price. For the Venice it is a good price. But don't forget that you must pay additional city tax eur 2.00 per person per night. In this price this tax was not included.

The location of the hotel is very good, very near the parkings of the city, and a very easy way to san Marco and the rialto. The facilities inside the bedroom are very confortable. The girls in the front desk are very nice. It´s very noicy, you can hear you neibourg´s steps, and when they close the door with strenght you feel like an earthquake is attacking.... The atention of the cleaning lady is very poor, there is no wifi in the room, no matter if you pay for it.

“The rooms and bathrooms were large and had a nice window. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast was sufficient with a choice of water, juice, tea, or cappuccino. There is a water bus stop right outside of the hotel front door and a large water bus station just around the corner that will take you to the Grand Canal or outer islands. It was about a 5 min. walk to the train station. We loved the area around the hotel. It was so peaceful and quiet, less touristy.
