The odd thing though was that under the beds, on the television and dressing table there was an inch of dust. If the management of this hotel could keep a better eye on the cleaners it would help improve the guest experience of the hotel.
We booked this hotel to be close to the train and bus station as we had an early departure. From the reviews I read when booking I thought the place would be much worse. We were a family of four and were given a very large room which was very comfortable. The room had two windows which overlooked the canal which was a treat. Bed linen and towels were fresh and clean. Paid €5 per person for breakfast - tea/coffee/orange juice and croissant and panini with a selection of jams was fair for Venice rates.
- This hotel being controlled by hotel Canal. - Unhealthy rooms, they were stinking - No windows in the room - Steep staircases
Double bed had two separate beddings. Floor wasn't clean. No Water for drinking.
The location is near Train Station. Room is spacious enough.
Had to buy wi fi per hour . But one euro . So not bad at all
Staff very friendly . Location exceptional. Basic room but clean and warm. Highly recommend
Odd room layout but adequate. Hard to lug heavy suitcase up stairs.
Convenient to transport and restaurants.
I don't think the number of bathrooms were enough compared to the number of rooms.
Location (very close to the station).
being scolded rudely by the receptionist because we couldn't find the entrance, we stayed at a much better hotel with the exact same price, room had unpleasant smell
Id says that the hotel was not the most luxury one but it is okay for the price
Location was really good
Just the window was not so stable...can be noisy
The gentleman who works here was very kind and even we mistook the check in time but he came for us and welcome for us!!
Had to go up steep stairs carrying our baggage. Reception is at a nearby hotel and charged us for one hour of wifi while it only lasted for 15 minutes
Very good location, opposite the train station of sta Lucia.
We have to pay a tax for everything: to be a tourist, for the internet, etc.
The location is really good. People are very nice and helpful.
its near to the train station, late check in and friendly staff
There was construction right outside the window at 7am every morning and noisy remodeling down the hall with a jack hammer during the day. Shower water temperature wouldn't stay hot for more than a couple minutes. You could hear conversations from the next room. And the double bed is really 2 small beds pushed together that slide apart very easily so don't plan on cuddling. Also no free wifi.
Close to the train station and grand canal.
The blanket smells a little. There was some grime at the lower part of the shower. The check in table or counter was in another building. Even though my room was only on the second floor, it could've been a better experience if there was an elevator or if there was someone that could help me with my luggage.
There's a bed, a small desk, a cabinet, and a thingy where you can put your luggage on (so that its not on the floor). The bathroom was nice with shower, toilet, sink, hair dryer, paper bags for napkins and tissue rolls. Hotel is right across the Venezia central train station. Overall, it was a fair experience.
Not very clean and a little bit noisy in the morning due to breakfast taking place in the lobby right in front of the room
Excellent location, close to the train station and bus stop, easy walk to main attraction spots
Extremely close to the Railway Station and Bus Station and right on the edge of the Grand Canal so travel arranging was extremely easy. Friendly and helpful staff. If you are visiting Venice you just need a bed at night as the whole City is so picturesque so you don't need to worry about it being very basic.
Internet is only available for a fee which is toooooo expensive.
The price of Wi-Fi connection is CRAZZY! And the hot water in public shower room doesn't work at least in morning. Sound absorbing is super poor!
The location Room is very hot
It was difficult to find the main door of hotel. No signs to tell you that reception is the next hotel. This should be explained on booking. Com. as a hotel the standard is low could be better.
Position of hotel is excellent.
When I reached, I found a closed door and after 30 minutes I realized a small sign saying go to hotel Canal which I gussed because it was written in Italian only!
Lack of lift.
I didn't like the internet facility I did not like the breakfast not included on the price
Many steps before you reached room level. You can't avoid these steps so watch out if you have large or heavy luggages. Toilet in room are way too small. Use these in common areas.
Location - just oppsite the St Lucia station. But have to drag luggages across the bridge. If no wheel luggages are allow in Venice in the future, you will need porter service.
Electricity was out for a short time on our first morning so bathroom and toilet were pitch black. Interesting!!
Good location, easy to find if arriving in the dark.We had small room with 2 single beds for myself and teenage daughter. Spent all day out but time in room was warm and beds were comfortable.
