location staff cleanliness
-reviews for "Red Suit" room only... noise from the corridor - rooms are not sound proof aircon too noisy to have it running during sleep poor breakfast - for the price of the room I would have expected fresh bakery and real coffee (not instant coffee).
The owner was fabulous! Terrific continental breakfast. The red room was terrific with a big bathroom and sitting area. Air conditioning worked great. I loved the shampoo and body lotion that was provided each day. Close to the Colosseum and other sites. Easy to get to metro and bus. Host provided travel info.
Lots of stairs and no elevator. No hot breakfast allowed. Exterior of the building was a bit rough.
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we loved every minute, even the 76 steps to the apartment were great! Our room was huge, clean, had an amazing view of the Colleseum and there was a fantastic café selling amazing Gelato just across the road!
Absolutely perfect location, very kind host(s) who go out of their way to render service, comfortable beds, rooms have great vieuws and are nicely decorated and breakfast is good too
We liked everything! We stayed in the Golden View room and if we would go to Rome again we would definately choose for this B&B again but we would probably prefer to stay in one of the other two rooms as those bathrooms were bigger... So the only minor point is that the shower cabine in the Golden View room is really too small (that is: if you are a big person ;)
The hostess Alexia very helpful an friendly
We were well looked after by Aklesia; she works very hard to maintain the B&B to a high standard. Our room was very comfortable and in a great location. We would highly recommend Aklesia suites if in Rome.
This is a real find. It feels like your own apartment right in the centre of Monti. The owners are so very kind and welcoming and the rooms are spacious and very, very clean. We will definitely be back.
Beautiful, small italian B&B in a superb location. Aklesia is a wonderful, very genuine host and will make you feel at home. Although the double rooms have a nice view, we definitely recommend the suite for its size and the fact that it's less noisy. It's absolutely perfect for a romantic getaway in Rome!
The welcome and friendliness of the lady who runs this B&B is exceptional. REALLY Exceptional! It's an old building with 77 steps to get to the B&B. However, this means the rooms get a good view - the Colosseum is very close and clearly visible from our room (as were a number of other attractions). The room was very clean, particularly impressive as, being an old building, it is not as easy to keep clean as some of the new ones. Going back to the lady who runs the place, she speaks excellent English and is really keen to do everything she can to make sure guests enjoy their stay. We would be happy to return. The facilities are typical for a B&B, with the exception that there is a fridge in the room. Very useful in a hot city and the complimentary bottles of water we found in the fridge were appreciated.
There was some road noise, but this is to be expected in a prime location in a busy city.
The warm welcome and genuine hospitality of the owners and the fact that it felt like our very own central Rome apartment.
Our stay there could not have been better. It is perfectly located, we had the most charming and knowledgeable host and the loveliest of rooms. It was like a home away from home and very good value for what it was.
Nothing. If people can find fault with this place, their life at home must be absolutely perfect.
Very kind and helpful staff. Very good location, metro & monuments close Quiet room
Bathroom. Impossible to enter the shower even for normal sized people No elevator (and 4th floor...) Very poor breakfast
The owner is very kind. the room is big and wide.
Seventy-seven high steps (no elevator) leading to the room. Bathroom very small, very hard to get in the narrow shower although we relatively thin. Besides stretching the sheets room were not cleaned. Very basic breakfast (bread, jam, cheese). The apartment is on the ambulances evacuation route, a lot of sirens noises during the night there.
Close proximity to Colosseum (3 blocks). Amazing roof top view of area surrounding Colosseum. Great restaurants around the area that the locals go to. Breakfast served every morning, in the kitchen by Aklesia.
Aklesia & Gianfranco are wonderful hosts, the breakfest is lovely and the view from the room of the coloseum is a definite plus! The complementary fruits and juice should be mentioned as well!
The bathroom is a bit small and a little tight. Climbing 3 floors (each one 32 steps) may be good for your health but is a definite minus. Especially for the handicapped.
