Only 1000 ft from the famous St Mark’s Square in Venice, 3-star Hotel Anastasia features nicely furnished rooms with free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. La Fenice Theatre is a 5 minute walk away.

This elegant 12th-century building was once home to the Doge Marino Falier. Just 1000 ft from Rialto Bridge, it offers elegant rooms with antique furniture and original paintings.
Score from 436 reviews Excellent
Ruzzini Palace Hotel is set in Campo Santa Maria Formosa, one of Venice's largest and oldest squares. This historic building has beautiful décor and is a 10 minute walk from Rialto.

What I liked about the hotel was the location. It was literally a 5min walk from the waterbus stop alon the Canal, and close to everything you need. The decor was pleasing and the hotel appeared to have everything you would need such as wifi, tv, vending machine, breakfast. Marco and staff were very helpful and pleasant in assisting me with any needs including allowing me to stay in my same room for an additional night.
I had some issues the first night with mosquitos in the room which surprised me as it was late November. It kept me up at night as they were buzzin in my ear. Also I was unable to use the tv as it had child lock on it. That didn't matter to me since I was really only in the room to sleep. And finally the shower. I had taken a shower and realized once I had gotten out that it had leaked all over the bathroom floor and into the main room where some of my things had been sitting. I mopped it up with towels but the system is faulty. Next shower I tried to avoid the leak by removing the shower head and using it manually. This makes for an unpleasant shower but it still leaked everywhere.
Good hotel in Venice. Not far from square and near Supermarket. Good life in Venice because we stay here!
The hotel was close to all the shops and restaurants.
At first the hotel was so hard to find. Bed was twin instead of double it was very uncomfortable too.
Al Canal Regio was very nice, small, with attentive staff. I liked the modern design.
The location and cleanliness of the room.
The bed was uncomfortable. it was keep moving apart. They gave us a twin bed rather than double and there is no air condition in the room.
Wifi Modern Location Garden
Hard to find at first, no signs. Noisy late night, other customers drinking in foyer & early morning builders. Too small
The hotel staff, Marco is really nice. He provided good recommendation of good reasonable restaurants instead of those commercial ones. He is very informative. Though we booked Small Double Room, we were surprised that the room is room is not small at all. The room is clean and well maintained. I was sick there and slept there for a day , felt really like home. Location is not so difficult to find as you just have to do some homework. I like the location. I would love to stay in this hotel again. Perfect !
nothing in particular.
friendly helpful man on reception, clean room and comfy bed.free wi-fi
no window in our room
Great location with easy access to water buses on the Grand Canal. Far enough from the main thoroughfares to be quiet but close enough for convenience. Perfect base for exploring Venice.
Love it so much! Would recommend it- exactly like the website shows it. Excellent!
Liked the simple clean rooms.
Very difficult to find!! Mosquitos were a problem...
Position, small size, friendliness, cleanliness, helpful staff, quiet location but near all amenities, more like a small home than a hotel, spacious modern rooms in an old building, etc.
No restaurant. Needs a common area for coffee facilities, water, soft drinks, etc although they are present in the superior rooms.
We had the downstairs room and it was very spacious and also led to an outside sitting area which was nice. The room was made up very nicely and the bed was very comfortable.
First of all, finding the place was a bit difficult as there were no signs and the hotel is hidden between buildings. Secondly, our bathroom needs to be fixed up - there was mold on the ceiling above the shower and there is no air flow in there, so the moisture clings to walls and ceiling. It was pretty gross. To get into the hotel after 7pm, you need to ring a bell and have someone let you in. After 10 rings, someone finally answered - wouldn't it be easier to give guests a card or key to let themselves in? Not the fault of the hotel, but somehow a mosquito got into the room and bit my eyelid, so i woke in the middle of the night with a swollen eye... bad luck i guess. The place is very nice just needs some improvements.
Nothing indeed, want to Get money back,it's unacceptable,2 nights 72euros we overpaid
Very warm welcome, comfortable room, private terrace, secure at night.
Takes some finding down some quiet alleyways, room was on ground floor, but that didn't bother us.
The location was great and the staff were really friendly. We had a room with terrace which was great.
Good location, convenient supermarket and shops nearby. Also many good restaurants in the locality. Room is spacious and with a garden terrace,it has a lot of light
Poor replenishment of bathroom essentials and cups, cleaning of terrace is lacking, too much tourist traffic outside and minimum concierge service
Location, friendliness, comfort, cleanliness, etc. The quiet atmosphere of this small but extremely comfortable hotel is astounding. The rooms are good size, bathrooms extremely spotless and well-kept, etc
No public toilet outside room. No lift. No anti-slipping mat for bath. Shower in Room 26 needs adjusting.
The hotel is quite,u never hear the ship pass by.
Thanks a lot to Marco. He was really attentive and preventive. Our room has been prepared for us before the official check-in time. Marco helped us to check in for the flight and called a taxi.
Breakfast and location excellent.
Air conditioning system insufficient for August heat. Room very small.
We were received by the hotel cleaner as there was no receptionist. There is zero service. For the money paid there was hardly anything for breakfast
Venice is beautiful and this hotel is well located in Cannaregio. The rooms were well equipped and nice decorated; the view on the canel was splendid. The breakfast (except the pigeons) was a buffet and there was a lot to choose from (but no warm items)
Difficult to find the location if you are not prepared: please look at Google Maps Street View before going to Venice! The horrible pigeons! The breakfast room was quite warm, but is was not possible to have the doors open due to the pigeons. One morning the pigeons were having breakfast before we were able to have breakfast (the pigeons had entered the breakfast room and were literally sitting on the buffet!)
Very hard to find the hotel, they could invest in some signs, 20 minutes walking around with the luggage
