Built in 1908, the Saturnia & International is an elegant hotel run by the Serandrei family, located 215 yards from St Mark’s Square.
Score from 419 reviews Excellent
Antica Locanda al Gambero is just a 2-minute walk from St. Mark’s Square. It has a relaxing roof terrace and classic Venetian-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi.
Score from 823 reviews Very good
Hotel Lisbona is just 100 yards from Saint Mark's Square, and the closest water bus station is Vallaresso. Rooms are decorated with furniture and fabrics reminiscent of 18th-century Venetian style.
Score from 704 reviews Very good

It was great, especially the reception staff "Amy" who was so welcoming and helpful, with all our needs and recommendations. Helped make our stay even better. Good sized rooms, good beds , A/c, great bathrooms very good accom.
Very clean and spacious room for 5 (2 adults and 3 children) Excellent breakfast and great customer service.
We had a hard time finding the hotel, but I think this is quite common for hotels in Venice due to all the little ally ways and canals.
Location and proximity to the main Gandola stations.
No elevator/lift or help in general for transporting luggage to the room.
Food n location
Needed to change the signboard of hotel ; pretty diffcult to see it.
The restaurant downstairs is great. We told the waiter to surprise us and the food was fabulous. Price was reasonable. Not too much food.
The majority of staff were so helpful and friendly and went out of their way to help with directions, recommendations (my husband is gluten free and very awkward finding places to eat), bringing up an iron etc. The location is the best thing about the hotel, very central and a few minutes to St Marks and Rialto bridge. My husband stays in five star hotels frequently on business and he said this hotel was cleaner than some of those. It was immaculate and beautiful decor.
The only negative was breakfast. We were snapped at slightly when we asked for eggs or croissants We had arrived at breakfast just as everything seemed to have run out (it was 9am and halfway through the two hour breakfast slot). We were told it would be a fifteen minute wait for more food by a slightly stressed out lady. It didn't detract too much from the enjoyment of our stay and would still recommend.
The room was huge, it was a superior room, with nice furnishing, big bathroom, canal view, everything was excellent, top value for money
Location was excellent and breakfast good. Room was a good size and had a fridge and tea making facilities. Beds comfortable.
No lift so it was a lot of stairs to take suitcases up or to climb back to room if you are on the 4th floor.
The view of the canal from the room was stunning. The room itself was amazingly decorated in a Venetian style. The location cannot be beaten, 2 minute walk to the Rialto bridge and 5 minutes to St marks square, with everything right on the door step.
The bathroom had a large amount of damp or mould on the walls and ceiling
The receptionist went out of her way to be helpful and accommodating, the room was big and light and most importantly clean. Bags were taken to the room promptly even though we checked in early.
Lack of lift
The bedroom was really good. In excellent condition, very clean and very well decorated with Venetian styles and Murano glass elements. Localion is also very very good, few minutes walking from Rialto Bridge and S. Marcos Square.
Breakfast could be a bit better. Nothing special.
our room was excellent, the furnishing stylish and the balcony overlooking the canal was a bonus!
No one at reception when we arrived at 2pm in the afternoon. We had to hang around waiting for someone.
Great staff, excellent room and bathroom, fantastic location, good breakfast and the restaurant
Lack of an elevator, but it is understandable given the tight space in Venice...
Large, spacious & clean room. Right in the middle of Venice. Very friendly staff. Nice breakfast.
This is not the fault of the hotel because the streets of Venice are extremely hard to navigate; however, it was very hard to find this hotel. I don't think we would have had better luck with another hotel because it's just how Venice streets are laid out. Advice: make sure you have a good map and/or an app, or take a water taxi to the hotel.
Location is fantastic. Easy to reach from SL station with luggage-just take the vaporetto to Rialto, five minutes walk from there to hotel, no bridge to cross. Shops around hotel. Private Gondola stop right outside hotel. Excellent view from balcony. 5 mins walk to San Marco Square. 30 mins walk to piaz. Roma if you can manage lots of bridges:) Room super clean and equipped with tea making facilities, fridge and LCD TV. Cool design, just like pictures. Large bathroom and shower. Bfast included. Good selection of food. Amy at reception is super friendly and helpful
No elevators but this is common for Venice, even Italy. As it is next to a canal, some noise starts at 5am when people starts work. My kids ages 3 and 6 slept through it.
The service was really bad. A request for early check in was confirm but when I arrive they say can't be arranged. Dissapointed.
This was my 8th time to Venice but the first time staying on the island. It was a blast and this hotel was perfect for my wife and I. Great location to both the Rialto and Piazzo San Marco. We took the public taxi to Rialto and walked our luggage very easily to the hotel.
Breakfast n no lift
Location - so convenient Rooms Quality of rooms Free Wifi Receptionist was very helpful and friendly
Value for money - it's not quite the cheapest hotel, probably not warranted $300 per night Breakfast was a little light in selection and choices
Very centrally located. Spacious room and bathroom. Very clean. Loved the morning breakfast that was included. Felt like I was at an a fancy bed and breakfast.
The lights and air conditioning are controlled by a card you insert into a wall. When the lights out air is out. It was too hot and noisy to keep windows open or sleep with lights on just to have air :(
Hotel al Gazzettino is located on a narrow canal about midway between the Rialto Bridge and San Marcos Piazza ... both local stops for the vaporetto/water taxis and gondolas. It is surrounded by restaurants, cafés, and shopping. The staff - front desk (Amy!!!), the housekeeper, and breakfast preparer - are all friendly and helpful. The double room was large, clean and comfortable and highlighted by a balcony overlooking the canal.
The directions I had been given for finding the hotel were inadequate. I not only had the wrong address but did not know which stop on the vaporetto to get off. More specific directions would have much appreciated.
Best location if you want to visit San Marks Square and Rialto Bridge.
