Fab location for seeing Venice, right around the corner from rialto bridge with a singing gondalier just around the corner too!
Please don't advise any one to stay such Hotel.
The place was amazing. We are surprised by the decor and still had a pleasant surprise to be informed that Paolo had done an upgrade on our reservation that we had already booked a economic room and were accommodated in one of the best rooms in the hotel. Huge very clean with Venetian décor, overlooking one of the canals, large bathroom with bath and other facilities with high speed internet, air-conditioning and other facilities. It is not complicated to get there. We really recommend.
Room size, location, great views! Helpful and friendly staff.
Bathroom was small and although private not adjacent to bedroom. No breakfast
We were upgraded to a room with a view of the grand canal with our own personal balcony and access to the canal. The service was excellent! Staff was friendly, cheerful and helpful. The room was huge with venetian decor, and bathroom had plenty of space also.
Wifi was sketchy and only worked on one side of the room.
Great location within Venice. Room is large for families or multiple people. Staff was helpful.
Tiny bathroom with odd shower/tub, can potentially cause injury. A/C is controlled by the staff and turned off when not in room, even on HOT summer days and off early mornings even with occupants still in room. Issues with mosquitos. Internet connectivity is also troublsome with iPhone/ iPads but not computers.
Close to everything in Venice. Friendly staff and nice size rooms.
Location was amazing. Right by the Rialto bridge! Walk out to dock in front of hotel and this gives you an amazing view of bridge. Very pretty at night. You can take the number 2 public transit boat to the Rialto bridge drop off. Walk 5 min north or left! Past the opera house. Over a bridge. Down about 3 minutes. There is a small alley leading you. If not sure ask a local business. They will lead you in right direction. We stayed in room with private balcony. Worth every penny! Room is dated. But this is expected for Venice unless you want to pay 3x as much with that view! The building is from 1300!
Wifi was spotty. But not there for wifi. So it wasn't a huge deal.
Decent quality, great location, fancy rooms
The lobby is not what you'd expect, it has a local vibe, compared to the luxurious vibe I would expect from touristy Venice places
Very difficult to find the hotel. No warm shower available at night.
Wonderful staff and wonderful service one can get. We highly recommend this hotel, if you are visiting Venice. The Staff is so cooperative and helpful, even after midnight. The lady came to the Water Bus stop to pick us up and guide us to the hotel at 1am in the morning. We have been given a big room with Grand Canal view, even it was not included in our package. Internet speed is wonderful and is free. A complimentary breakfast was also presented to us. It was a wonderful experience staying in Venice and in this hotel.
I love this hotel so so much. I stayed only 1 night in venice with my family. The room is huge. Great Location which near attractive place and excellent atmosphere. The only 1 disadvantage is no lift however staff helped me to carry on. Everything gave me and my family unforgettable times in Venice
The staff very nice and respectful,at your service any time.the room was very clean. breakfast very good and rich.location good, close to Piazza San Marco. I realy enjoyd my stayng.i will defently come back
The location is absolutely ideal, and I love the smallness of this hotel, with its very friendly staff. Someone evidently had found directions unclear, so I've taken the liberty of rewriting them here (and suggest the hotel use this revised version) - (it's not as complicated as it looks!!!): All trains arrive at Santa Lucia Station. From the pier in front of the station, take a water taxi (actv vaporetto line, N. 1 or 2) to the Rialto stop. When you get off the boat, turn left. From the Rialto stop walk left to the foot of the Rialto bridge, and go up 7 steps (but not all the way up, and do not cross the bridge) and make a right on a narrow footpath. You will come to San Bartolomeo Square (with a large statue). Turn left, cross the square; and walk 50 metres to a small bridge at the "COIN" store. Continue straight ahead for about 70 meters to the "Fiaschetteria Toscana" Restaurant on your left. On each side of the restaurant is a small alley ("Calle") - turn left into the second alley (very narrow and dark, but safe) on the far side of the Fiaschetteria Toscana. Follow the alley (with turns), and the hotel is about 20 metres on the right ground floor - number 5700 (clearly numbered and labeled).
The desk closes at 10, and it can be a little hard to predict when you might arrive. The owner, however, is very agreeable and will make arrangements to make sure you can get in (though you can't always know your arrival time). They do have a very light breakfast of roll and coffee, nothing fancy. I frankly find the smallness and lack of formality very charming - that's why I like such hotels and highly recommend it. I think it might be worth paying more for a view (which I did not but wish I did!). All in all, I would go back and loved it! The owner is very nice and helpful!
Simply perfect. From check-in to leaving. The room was very clean and nice (I have asthma and no problem at all) To get into the room there are some stairs but the friendly staff helped me through All stay was just wonderfull and I would totally recommend
The location is great. it's very close to Rialto. The staff was very kind and lovely! She served some breads and coffee eventhough we had to leave the hotel before 8am.
The hotel was very hard to find..We spent quite a lot of time to find the hotel.
Great location - the building is just a 2 minutes walk to Rialto bridge, yet nice and quiet. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. The room was clean and well presented with some typical Venetian features and high ceilings. The bathroom was always clean despite the fact it was shared. Great value - would definitely recommend!
Absolutely amazing view on Canale Grande and a private terrace (from five persons room nr. 5).
To poor equipped bathroom. Almost unacceptable.
Very good location. Clean rooms and friendly personal.
If you are not be able to climbing the stairs you should know there are many and steep stairs but I think this problem normal for Venezia.
The tiny bathroom
Good central location, quiet room, nice wine bar downstairs
A little worn-looking in places, lots of stairs, cramped breakfast area
The view from our room was fantastic straight onto the Grand Canal. Room very well presented with lovely high ceilings and traditional decorations. Entrance to hotel and alleyways leading to it.
Ensuite too small and the bath/shower was lethal as it slopped and if you didn't know or realise this you could easily have a bad fall. Number of stairs to climb but you have to expect this in an old building like this. Breakfast very basic.
owners very friendly and kind, great location, clean
old building and furniture, beds and pilows hard - uncomfortable, the bath tub very small and dangerous, breakfast very basic
Breakfast was good; coffee was great! Staff very friendly & helpful. Location very central but quiet at night.
The shower stall!! Very small bathtub/shower, with several levels on the bottom of the tub, which meant you had to struggle to find room for both feet without slipping- very strange configuration.
View to canal, and we've got own terrace. location is good to hang around. Staff was very helpful. Almost everything was perfect.
little a bit far to train station
