Well there you are, diving along the busy SS124, wondering where on earth you are going, and 2 minutes later you’re in the peace and quiet of a green oasis. What a gem! It is just so tranquill and wonderful there, it’s hard to make yourself leave to go sightseeing.
Has a big pool (in season) with plenty of sunbeds, surrounded by beautiful gardens and birdsong. The building is from the 1800s, so the architecture is very attractive and the rooms lovely, with all facilities, including great WiFi, and very clean. I only stayed for 2 days enroute to elsewhere, but I had maid service the second day—unusual in my experience.
The breakfasts are enough to keep you going for most of the day—fresh bread, cakes, croissants, as well as healthy things like yogurt and fresh fruit. I’m amazed they don’t charge extra for a spread like that.
The staff are all really friendly and helpful, and the owner especially, who is fluent in both Italian and English. Nothing was too much trouble, and every effort is made to see that you are happy.
Liked it so much have already booked to go back.
