Pasquale may have been a man of few words, but he was definitely a man of great generosity. He saw to our needs before we even expressed to him that we needed anything. Tended to guests on a personal level. We traveled through out Italy but had the BEST time at B&B Al Pesce D'Oro! Thanks Pasquale! Del, Grace, Jim and Patty
Our room with a balcony at Pesce D'Oro has a stunning view of the Sea. The breakfast was generous and fresh, including handcut fruit each morning. Though the furniture and fixtures were older, everything was kept very clean. The SITA bus from Sorrento stopped right in front of the inn. In the direction of Amalfi, there is a nice little shop with drinks and snacks. We had a wonderful stay!
It is a considerable walk along the narrow road into town.
Location, food, excellent service and atmosphere
Nothing I didn't like
Good views, parking facilities
Shower didn't have a steady temperature, kept going from very (too!) hot to cold
Free parking. Nice cornettos at breakfast.
Loved the hotel, the food, the location, the facilities and the staff who were very friendly and helpful. We were cared for fed by "Papa Pasqua" and the team. We were shuttled by car to town and treated like one of the family. Loved Al Pesce D'Oro and the family. Loved every thing about it.
Our stay was too short!!! Seriously, though there is always room for improvement in all service industries our 4 day stay was so lovely that I can't think of anything I didn't like!
view was amazing
View over sea from balcony. Freindly staff. c 2 miles from Amalfi. Can walk to Amalfi to see cliffs hotels houses clinging to rock faces. Excellent restaurant inside and on terrace which serve large servings.. If you get chance climb go up the ladders from the garden about 4 terraces up to see the magnificent views lemons pomodoro peppers grapevines and flowers.
Last bus from Amalfi c 2100 drops you off after hotel.
Staff were very friendly Room had everything you need Views were fantastic Breakfast was nice
Not really the hotel's fault but expensive to get from Amalfi to the hotel in a hotel (€25) but a lot cheaper on bus (€3pp)
Large room with balcony and sea view 2.9kms from the centre of Amalfi and walkable. (We did it comfortably and got the bus back). Restaurants on the upper and lower levels are great. Good food served by very friendly and helpful staff. Very generous portions. Easy parking, leave the car and bus or walk. The owner did drop us in town on one occasion
Nice rooms with an amazing view and space to enjoy the sunshine on the balcony. The restaurant is great value and serves amazing food.
It's a few kms from Amalfi township on a very narrow, windy and busy road, which we didn't feel safe to walk. Buses are frequent and convenient but can be crowded and you need to plan ahead and have tickets.
The view from the hotel is amazing, can't beat that. Best of all, is that you could enjoy the amazing view while having fantastic food and service at the restaurant that is located at B and B. The waitresses were so nice and helpful and made our stay a bliss. Best food from all the places we visited in Italy. The location is close to a bus stop nd the steps to the beach very doable if you don't have mobility issues. The beach we went to was Orca dei Marini. Very relaxing, beautiful.
- large room - friendly staff - nice restaurant - View from room over sea (once you have looked past main road)
- Photos on site are a world away from the reality - large room, but empty and poorly designed - not very comfortable - overpriced, although probably in keeping with the rest of the Amalfi coast, which is generally overpriced - Balcony only had one seat - decor incredibly dated and mismatched - No choice for breakfast. Sugar in and on everything!
The place was awesome, friendly staff, great location with sea view and excellent food. I will repeat again this place with pleasure
Good view, clean sheets, good breakfast.
2 mile walk to Amalfi Poor bathroom Not value for money at 100 Euros I would have expected more.
No entrance to the beach
hospitality and generosity of the family run hotel. Beautiful cuisine to try. Drinks and cocktails every evening. We were offered a driver to get about at night. Great value and total indulgence.
Food was excellent. Nice room and great views. Internet was iffy! Would loved to have stayed longer than the one night. There is a beach there too - but 300 steps down I was told. Didnt try it...
Language was awkward but then perhaps I should learn to speak Italian.
The atmosphere and definitely restaurant, very nice kitchen and romantic place. The personell was very pleasant. Location is also more less convenient with nice sea view. More changes to breakfast menu could be a good improvement. In general very satisfied, cosy B&B for intimate holiday as there are only few rooms available.
No specific dislikes. May be a little bit better english knowledge by personnel would be better
ocean view was lovely. friendly and helpful staff. food was AMAZING!
- good location - beautiful views - friendly staff - parking
- they should inform in advance (on the booking.com site), that you can't bring in any food to the room- you have to eat downstairs, at the restaurant
Nice staff, fantastic views, restaurant across the street was brilliant. Also easy to access Amalfi, Praiano or Positano by car.
Free parking space, great view from the private balcony, great food from the restaurant just right next to my room. Welcome espresso. Simple, fresh Italian style breakfast(coffee, croissants and breads and fresh cut fruits!)
Lovely panoramic view from our too floor room. Cosy but perfect. Buses stop almost outside. 30 min walk into amalfi town along the coastal road.
