It is very cozy and wonderful house. It was nicely to start the day with cup of coffee on the balcony with a great sea view and finish it on the beautiful terrace near the apartment. The furniture in the rooms made feeling of home cosiness. We fell in love with this place. We spent not very much time in Podgerolla, but it is very comfortable point for travelling along Amalfi coast.
Very poor WiFi. Very small and complicated parking. A lot of stairs. You should be ready for this.
Very romantic peaceful and beautiful place perfect for a honeymoon. Was met with the key and didn't see anyone for the 5 days we were there. If you are expecting daily cleaning n towels etc check in advance. We had a mobile phone contact I'm sure they would have come if we had wanted them to. The village is lovely and the owner of the pub gerry's is great try's hard to entertainment and the food is good. The views from the apt are stunning and sitting on the patio in the evenings feels like you are miles from anywhere and anyone. Loved it
Flies and mossies so take lots of stuff. Able bodied only as the steps can be a challenge
We loved the apartment and truly enjoyed the incredible view of the Sea! Loved the apartment and the beautiful patio overlooking the Amalfi coastline! Great privacy and quiet.....perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Would truly come back!
Truly there wasn't anything I didn't like about our stay, perhaps the rooster crowing at 6:30ish....but it's his job so who could complain? :)
The place is very nice, spacious, clean. The view is fantastic, and you have a cozy terrace to have breakfast, or any meal with this amaying view. The location is good, the access is a bit tricky like the entire coast, but you enjoy the ride and getting lost. We arrived late on a saturday and the hosts where very kind and helpful to welcome us.
The only "negative" side is that it is kind of like a big house, so you hear absolutely everything from other guests, so I guess is up to how noisy they are.
Al Poggio Antico was a pleasant experience. Louisa and the staff looked after us very well. Louisa went out of her way to make sure everything was satisfactory and she also made sure that we had the right information to get to places. The only thing lacking in the apartment was a microwave oven. We would have no hesitation in going back.

Fabulous views ,excellent facilities, helpful staff and great peaceful location for the almafi coast with free parking.
A few too many steps for the unfit - but worth the trek .
Very fashion, cozy and clean apartment. Has big kitchen with all required stuff. I had mesmerizing view from my window. I definitely would recommend this place to my friends.
Not very comfortable location: you have to use a local bus every day, coz it is far from Amalfi. Or use incredible stairs with 800 steps, but it's really hard.
Loved the view and the people were very friendly
Me and my girlfriend are both in great shape but the stairs involved in this place were hard to get use to .... the wifi is not in your room and is hit and miss ....
excellent view,spacious,air con good
deck chairs not good enough, kettle required, glasses for wine
We had an apartment with a great view over the ocean on a shaded terrace. The apartment itself was clean, well appointed and comfortable.
The wifi is only available in the adjacent common garden and at extra cost, which is a bit annoying, but the ocean view is still available from there. Our apartment could connect by a door with the another apartment, so we could hear everything going on next door and we didn't feel private.
The view is absolutely fantastic!!! The place was comfortable and clean and because it is up on the mountain, you don't have hordes of tourists/cars/buses... We were met by Luisa who was lovely and really helpful and spoke French & English. It was also great to have a parking space. The village above (Pogerola) has all that you need: alimentari shops, pastry shop, a pub, several restaurants, etc... It's only 140 steps (roughly) to get to it, but it is easily doable.
The place is hard to find! Make sure you study the map or get a GPS. If you can't secure a parking with them, it would be very hard to park on the road (it's a two-way street with only space for one car...). You will have to carry your luggage down a lot of stairs to get to where you'll stay. Be warned that it is also 800 steps to Amalfi, so take the bus if you have knee problems or find another place to stay in. The only thing we did not like was that from our bedroom we could hear people in the flat next door as if they were in the same room as us... It is otherwise really quiet!!!
The view was good
The description of the place was not correct. The room isn't in the almafi coast and it is difficult to get to and from almafi. No one to greet us. Rude staff. Would not recommend the description by the owners is very misleading.
Beatiful view , car parking, kind people. Zuzana+Jaroslav (Piešťany, Slovakia)
Amazing ! The location was fantastic, loved the local facilities, really lovely in every way.. and the staff, especially Luisa were exceptional....
Nice clean village with all necessary shops and restaurants. Nice garden. Very tasty tap water in the house. Clean, simple but comfortable apartment. Nice view from the terrace. Often (every hour) bus to Amalfi. Beautiful stairs (800 stages) down directly to Amalfi. We've been there with two small dogs. It was very pleasant and comfortable two week vacation. There're a lot of possibilities for tracking (some routs starts from the center of Pogerola). The beach can be reached by bus or by 20 minutes trip down by beautiful stairs. We occupied upper level of the house with nice big terrace. Attentive manager Luisa explained us everything (how to go to supermarket, to mountains, where to by all things, that big black snakes on the way to Amalfi are harmless, how to reach fish market, etc.). She speaks english pretty well. The total payment was exactly the same we discussed. Generally Amalfi coast is much more pretty than Napoli or Salerno. The streets are clean there. And certainly the best ways to get wonderful view to the coast - are: - make a boat trip - go for a walk to Sentiero Degli Dei. It starts from Bomerano (Agerola) and finish almost in Positano. It takes 3 hours and 15 minutes. But keep in mind that bus to Bomerano starts from Amalfi appr. at 8 o'clock in the morning. Few words about shops in Pogerola: - The best shop where you can buy food is situated in the deadlock on near the church on the left hand. - Macelleria (to buy meat) and vegetable shop are situated after the church. They are open until 1pm and after 5pm.
Not fast WiFi connection which you can get in the garden downstairs. Very narrow streets - it is so difficult to drive. So take full assurance for you rented car if you're not a kind of ace driver.
The view, the welcome and assistance.
Would prefer better fitting sheets and a non-rubber mattress protector.
The view, the close proximity to Pogerola, the self catering kitchenette
So many stairs but it can hardly be avoided in this stunning kind of location
The place is beautiful and very quiet, and the hotel is gorgeous and clean with a view of the sea as I liked the rural atmosphere of uniqueness Privacy brilliant. Owner Luisa was very nice
This is very beautiful place! however you must be ready for dramatic elevation changes and your feet must be ready to go a lot. The hotel is very nice, is there all necessary for cooking and rest. We nad a beautiful view of the sea. The owner Luisa is very hospitable and she was very kind to wait us when we have been late. Close to the hotel is a busstop, shops and restaurants. There is a car parking for three cars.
The bathroom needed shade
