Convenient, clean, econimical for Venice. Air conditioning. B&B, not a hotel, bring your own soap/shampoo. Stacey (owner) was great. Small kitchen available for guest use with drinks available for purchase at reasonable price. No lift if that matters to you. |

Stacy was lovely and incredibly helpful with lots of suggestions about things to do in Venice. Lovely and relaxed stay. Would recommend. Liked breakfast in the restaurant – wished we'd stayed for dinner! |

Very nice welcome from Stacy. The room is clean and close to the train station and bus station as well which make it easy to go around Venise. The breakfast is good for the first time in Italy we had fruits... |

The atmosphere created by Stacy of staying with friends, sharing experiences with other guests of their day and the loocation For a mature couple the bath was something of a challenge but it is the Venetian way and in character with the building |

Al portico Guest house was the best place we stayed in duruing our five week european trip. Stacy was so warm, friendly and helpful! She made us feel at home and flooded us with fantatstic suggestions for good restaurants, wine and activities in Venice (All her recommendations that we tried were fantastic). The roms were clean and light, with great art on the walls. There is also a rooftop terrace for chilling out after a long day walking!. The guest house is an easy walk from the train station. Stacy really made our saty in Venice perfect, thank you so much for your fantastic hospitality! P.S. This guesthouse alos has a fantastic restaurant " La Columbina" which you really should try! |

The owner of Al Portico, Stacy, welcomed us and helped us feel right at home. The B&B has a casual feel and is very accessible to the Santa Lucia train station and other sites in Venice. We enjoyed the terrace and self service breakfast very much. |

The owner/ manager of the hotel is fantastic, a real source of knowledge on the area and very willing to help with any needs, the hotel is well placed and well equipped with a nice long breakfast from 7 untill noon, a lovely courtyard and roof terrace, i cant wait to head back. the bathroom was a little dated. |

Central location within easy walking distance to hotel. Rooms very were very clean and other guests were quiet at night respecting others sleeping. BYO breaky was a great idea. I was able to actually make eggs! This is definitely a very easy going accommodation set up but in line with pricing. If you want bell boys and fancy breakfasts etc this may not suit a fussier type of traveller. Directions are very good, but even during the light of day we still got slightly confused. It was only that Stacys husband saw us looking vague whilst holding suitcases outside his restaurant that he knew what we were looking for. |

Stacy, the owner, was nice and helpful. Good self-service breakfast with tea and coffee available all day. Good location near water bus. Great restaurant run by Stacy's husband. No elevator; relatively hard to find. I'm glad I got prior instructions from Stacy, the owner. |

We liked everything - it is a relaxing haven in a busy city but it is important to remember that this is a Guest House and not an Hotel. If you want Hotel services this is not the place for you. |

Great place owned and run by an American artist living in Italy. Clean eco friendly place. Nice self service breakfast in the courtyard. Felt like staying in someone's house with total freedom to come and go with own key. No TV (good for us). This might not be the place for the luxury hotel kind of person. Shower curtain and bathmat would be helpful. |

The friendliness and helpfulness of the owner and the lack of unnercessary facilities. It was more like home than a hotel. |

The room size was spacious and the location was ideal for all shops and Grand Canal tour. Within reasonable walking distance from the Santa Lucia Train Station. Near excellent restaurants. The attached restaurant, Columbino, was our favorite, The chef is the husband of Al Portico's owner Stacey. . Pillows were a little too soft. Al Portico is 'Green', so wasteful guests may have a hard time recycling. |

Relaxed atmosphere with a friendly welcome. Loved the DIY Breakfast and Honesty Bar. La Columbina restaurant next door owned by Domenica is First Class and must be visited. We will revisit... Bathroom was a little Bijoux but fully functional |

Wonderfully large bedroom (which made up for the small bathroom!) with convenience of "self serve" kitchen, honor bar, and friendliness of Stacy. Super location, a wonderful "find" in Venice! |
