Al Porto Di Lucca B&B

Very convenient for central Lucca - only 5min. walk. Easy parking. Lovely breakfast and immaculate rooms. Owners were friendly and helpful. Great place to stay for a city visit.

The host and hostess were magnificent, caring, helpful, friendly and go out of their way to accommodate every need. The atmosphere is restful, the linens are luxurious, the furnishings beautiful old antiques. Breakfast was homemade, fresh squeezed ok and many varieties of breads, meats, cheeses.

Very wonderful place. Not far from the train station with 5min walk. Very kind and friendly house owners. Very comfortable bed and pillow. Great breakfast with home made bread and orange juice. Everything is perfect. The best stay in Italy. Love it!

Nothing！

This is a very nice guesthouse near the station. The rooms are beautiful decorated with the best quality linen and bathtowels.

The owners are lovely people. The Inn is beautiful. The service was great, the breakfast in the morning was just perfect. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

A huge surprise.Could not find it at first due to a very small sign. Do not be put off by a very ordinary exterior appearance, the interior is wonderful,an Italian Palazzo. The bedrooms and lounge areas have magnificent antique furniture.The bathrooms were spacious and well presented and we had our breakfasts out in the lovely conservatory. The hosts were very helpful and gave us bicycles free of charge to explore Lucca.

It was a little pricey compared to our other accomodation but well worth it.

Having stayed at a few other Italian hotels/B&Bs since my last review, I realise how good Al Porto Di Lucca is. In particular, Italian breakfasts seem to consist mostly of cake. This B&B provides lovely fresh bread, amazing prosciutto, ricotto, eggs, etc making it one the best breakfasts we have had in Italy.

The owners were lovely. The building has a great atmosphere with antique furniture and paintings. Some rooms have a terrace. Breakfast was in a beautiful sunroom and was excellent. It is very close to the station which is convenient if doing a lot of day trips, e.g., Pisa, Cinque Terre, etc

It is outside of the city walls which may not be good for everyone. It would have been nice to have a TV for rainy days.

Amazing breakfast, very spacious and clean room, perfect location for persons who travel by train (very close to station and old city), very good price-quality ratio and very friendly couple. Although perfection is not from this world, I still like to give them the perfect score.

I believe there was no tv on my room (but in Lucca you don't need tv) and the bed side is a bit higher than normal so you have to be a bit careful stepping in and out the bed.

The room was excellent & extremely clean. The towels are something you would not expect in a B & B. The hosts were very accommodating & helpful. The breakfast was superb & set you up for the morning. We were provided with breakfast on the morning that we were leaving at 7:20 which was service above on beyond what would be expected because breakfast was normally between 8 - 10.

The hosts were wonderful and engaging, helpful in planning our day trips around the town and surrounding area. The breakfast was delightful every morning, fresh, authentic and enjoyable setting. The bicycles available for guest use were one of the things that originally attracted us to the B&B and we had a fun time bicycling around the area and along the river, nice touch! The location so close to the train station and to one of the main portals into the town was perfect. The accommodations were comfortable and relaxing.

Walkable distance from train station. Great hosts. Great breakfast. Bicycles were made available to us to go around town.

Magnific Bed&Breakfast. The owners were very helpful. They let us their bicycles for free to visit Lucca. The breakfast was also delicious.

Very beautiful room with lots of antiques as our bed, which was 17th century and the owner said the Queen of Austria slept in the bed. Breakfast was wonderful and we had free use of owners bikes which we rode along the walls of Lucca. The owners were very nice and helpful. We had a nice terrace and the B&B was well located. It was the nicest B&B on our 12 day tour of Tuscany! Highly recommend.

The owner couple are so nice, so glad that we made our decision to stay here. Room is big and facilities are good.

Great location and free parking onsite. The owners are very friendly and provide a very very good breakfast which was delicious and the best we had all week staying through Italy. The room was delightful - very nice and comfortable with a big bathroom and huge shower. The terrace was lovely to sit with a bottle of wine in the evening and we absolutely loved staying here while in Lucca.

It's a very beautiful decorated B&B, with an extended house made breakfast. It's very well situated to visit lucca. The owners are very friendly people. It was the best address on our Italy trip.

Everything. We were able to borrow bikes and ride around the walls of lucca. Is was great. Breakfast was amazing also.

Lovely,lovely place. Perfect hosts. Location was perfect, room was very cute. We were served a wonderful breakfast, the best on our entire trip. We wish we could have stayed longer. We loved it there and hope to go back again.

Absolutely everything -- very gracious and helpful hosts. Delicious and ample breakfast. Beautiful room -- all details were exceptional --paint colors, fixtures, furniture. Perhaps my favorite bed and breakfast ever!

Very comfortable pillows and bed (which was not two single beds put together as is often the case on the continent). Spacious terrace overlooking the garden with a view of the mountains. Spacious bathroom with walk-in shower. Generous and soft towels. Excellent freshly prepared breakfast - one of the best we have ever had. Easy walking distance of the city walls. Use of the bikes was a bonus -- and Francesco told us of a cycle route north of the town by a river, which was an alternative to cycling around the walls. Very friendly and helpful hosts.
