Al Porto Di Lucca: excellent in every aspect, from the bed sheets to the bathroom towels, everything with very good taste. The breakfast was absolutely amazing and the owners' service was also very nice. Would definitely return.
Good location to Lucca's center. Good sized room and good breakfast. Nice garden and yes you can park a car onsite.
Noisy street with fair amount of traffic. Hotel needs to have a sign outside otherwise it is impossible to find.
As a chef and restaurateur I am very picky, but the breakfast I had at al Porto was absolutely fantastic. The room was great, location perfect, owners amazing, but the breakfast was well worth the price of two nights. I will definitely stay again.
We were treated like honoured guests
Francesco and Giovanna's B&B is conveniently located close to one of the entrances to Lucca. The use of Francesco's bikes were a great way to explore the town and Giovanna's amazing breakfasts a great start to the day. Not forgetting our delightful chats with Giovanna at breakfast.
The location of the property, easy access by either car or train and an easy 5 minute stroll through the wall to the old city. Our hosts were wonderful, most helpful and the breakfast each morning were sumptuous. The room was large enough with a lovely balcony overlooking the rear garden. Quiet at night with a great bed. Great value for mone
Nothing at all to dislike, would highly recomend this to all visiting Lucca
Just outside the city within easy walking distance. Best WiFi of our trip (and we went to several locations during our trip). The breakfast was incredible. Then, when the hosts found out we had to leave early on our last day they were up early and made sure we had something to eat. Francesco and Giovanna were amazingly helpful and their home is lovely.
Charming hosting place that met all expectations. The room and public areas are full of character design and good taste Very convenient location for walks in the old city of Lucca. Breakfast of high quality and full of all good and served on the terrace in front of the green garden. The owners are lovely and do everything to help guests and , including recommendations useful for sites restaurants and all that is required. We enjoyed your place and shame that only one night. Thank you Francesco&Giovana
We recently spent 3 days in Lucca and stayed in this most glorious B&B. I urge you to stay there because every single aspect of our stay was pure heaven and I'm confident yours will be too. Our hosts were warm, interesting and most helpful and they made our stay in their elegant and fascinating home a treat. The room was spacious and looked over their beautiful garden. The bed and pillows extremely comfortable. The breakfast was abundant and varied and set in a very attractive enclosed terrace overlooking the garden. We borrowed bikes and rode around the wall of Lucca: a must do experience. We found the access to the town very convenient and close, and note, there is an alternative to the stairs over the railway. We dined in town at Paris Boheme: a simply divine dining experience. The Puccini concerts are on each night and also not to be missed. Nothing disappointed us about our stay.
Don't be put off by the walk from the station. The home is located outside the wall and the area was a little daunting as we walked from the station. But once in the home we were in an oasis.
This B&B lived up to excellent reviews. The building is a lovely spacious old villa which has been modernised - retaining the grandeur of the original yet with fully functioning modern showers, air-conditioning etc. I especially liked the breakfast and living rooms, which guests are welcome to use at any time of day. It was super to come back in the afternoon and help yourself to a cup of tea and slice of tart before venturing into Lucca for the evening. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and the loan of bicycles was an extra bonus. Thank you!
Loved everything about this B&b. My sister and I stayed here for four nights and found it the perfect base to explore both lucca and pisa. It's very close to the train station and the free bikes are very useful too. Breakfast was lovely every morning and we ate too much every morning because the food was excellent. The hosts are lovely as is their adorable black cat.
Hosts were incredibly helpful and looked after our every need. Helped us to hook up with another B&B in southern Italy Beautiful accommodation Beautiful breakfast Great location
Shower water needed to be hotter
This B&B located near the train station just outside the wall is fabulous. The hosts, who speak English and Italian, were welcoming, warm, and provided excellent accommodations, including a breakfast to die for. Homemade muffins, frittata, fresh fruit, croissants, yoghurt, fresh ricotta, jams, bread, etc. The newly renovated rooms are clean and spacious (ours was a suite); the rooms are cleaned every day. Located 5 minutes from the train station and the wall, it is near everything.
Nothing. This was the nicest B&B we have ever stayed in in Italy, and we have traveled there at least 15 times. Good value for the money.
The house was perfect for what we wanted, full of traditional Italian charm and is a beautiful house Service was excellent and for all this it was great value for money Room was large, clean charming and a big antique bed which was very comfy Slippers and clean towels await you We also had a terrace overlooking a lovely garden Food was a feast of fresh meats breads cheeses toasties omelette and fruits and lovely coffees lots to give you a great start to the day, service was perfect Owners were also very friendly and helpful Perfect location for Lucca and the wall which was just a short walk from the house We would certainly stay here again without question thoroughly enjoyed
The guests, Francesco and Giovanna are the friendliest and helpful people we met on our trip in Tuscany. The accommodation was home from home with the breakfast from heaven. Location, just over the bridge to Lucca and station to anywhere you want. We arrived by car but also travelled by train while we stayed here. Thanks for a wonderful time, wish I can say we will go there again.
Our stay was too short!
very comfortable high standards good bathroom and excellent breakfast. nice garden 5 mins from station
First, the room was better than the Ritz etc. and cozy and tasteful rather than ostentacious. I have travelled extensively and had my expectations blown away. The room was furnished in high end antiques except for the unbelievably wonderful bed, which was memory foam -- right down to the pillows. Best bed i ever slept on and with my bad neck i have very high end beds at home. The bed linens took my breath away ! Beautiful embroidered true linens(the cost of small car iw as told when i asked about them :)) the huge windows looking out into picturesque yard; modern and attractive bath. And breakfast just would not stop !!!! eggs, high end meats and cheeses, mutiple breads, yogurts, sweets, capucino, the deliveries just kept coming ! all in a glass walled breakfast room looking out. but most of all the personalities of the owners made this a memorable stay. They are the top of the top -- gracious, openhearted, sophisticated, competent, thoughtful --and she is really fun to talk with ! I asked why they didnt charge more for such an exceptional place and she said they do it as a hobby-- they enjoy providing the comfort. and my experience bore that out.

Great hospitality Great breakfast - lots of food Great location Very clean & comfortable
There was a little traffic noise but not enough to bother us & if we closed the outside shutters, it was all good.
The owners and location were excellent. Very easy to go into the city for touring and meals. The train station is outside your door and convenient to many interesting locations. Very good breakfast with an opportunity to meet other guests. Great shower.
The room was very dark. The lighting needs to be improved.
Location very convenient, just out of city but 5 mins to centre on foot. Hosts knowledgeable about history, also recommended and booked two excellent restaurants for us in advance. Lent bikes for day free of charge.
No problems at all.
Room fantastic and very comfy and clean. Superb bathroom and shower. breakfast fantastic, extremly varied and plentiful. Homemade. Didnt ever manage to finish it. bikes to use around the city. brillinat location to walk to the centre
Not used to sleeping with memory foam pillow......but sure if i had asked would have swapped. nothing really that we could fault
Very pleasant stay near the city
