The staff are amazing!!!! ready to help at all times, friendly and give very good advises. The hotel is a 7 minute walk from the metro and above a great restaurant. The room is very basic. The shower is tiny... there was no safe.

Brilliant location: 3 minutes walk from the underground station, 10 - from Vatican. Very silent street, good room. There's no breakfast, but you can save your money and have it at any coffeshop. Wifi is fast and powerful. The bathroom is tiny. Strange thin towels.

A very good hotel. A few blocks away from the Vatacan, nothing extra, but also cheap and very friendly staff. Clean rooms, quite street. They dont have breakfast which is not a big problem since there are loads of places to eat or shop food.

I Really like the location, it was in a safe zone. There was sparkling water and water, so if during the night you were thirsty you can go and get water for free. The bed was big and the room was very clean. I also liked that the WiFi signal was strong and I would never lose signal. I consider it to be expensive for what the hotel is. 360 Euros for three nights is too much for what the hotel has to offer.

Incredible luck - I've parked car at free parking place, no one can will be able to get the same, 5- 8 minutes walking to metro station, with advice from hotel staff - not costly italian food with good service (would be excelent if you speek italian) For me, as a smoking person, the strict restriction of "no smoke" and fire allarm forced me to go to the street every time when I feel wish to smoke. For 4 days stay it was wery hard...

This was my second time in Hotel Al San Pietrino, and comparing to the last one that I appreciated much, it was a big deception; They offered taxi services by email for 45€ while at the airport prices are 30€ (but this we didn't know when we booked it) ; And at our arrival, they announced us that instead of 45€ we are going to pay less (30€) because the service is going to be shared with an other couple they came to bring too; and each couple will have to pay 30€.. it's somehow a special way to share the intial price from 45€ to 60€; The room seemed to have been cleaned some days ago and not refreshed; The day after, we came back from a visit around 4pm and the room wasn't clean yet.. we had to let them clean at 6pm ... not very pleasant; Well, it will be the last time there; but very good impressions of the city of course

The Location is great. Less than a km walk straight down to the Vatican City. Shops, restaurants, cafes close by. A Metro station is less than 2 mins walk to get into Central Rome, and a tram that also goes past. Staff were most helpful and terrific. They allowed us to check in earlier, and wait a bit longer afterwards, and assisted with travel and sightseeing. Room nice, WiFi worked well. The air conditioning did not work. It was great but manageable at night in October as some coolish breeze via the window. But in day time it was hot, and in summer would be worse. Problem with leaving the window open was the noise. There is restaurant/pub opposite that doesn't close till midnight, then the traffic especially early morning. Please note that no soap or shampoo given here (we had our own so no big deal)

It is a nice little Hotel/Pension at 3 blocks from the Metro (to see the rest of Rome) and 5 blocks from the Vatican. It has a great coffee machine, so you can take for free coffee, tea, chocolate, water, etc. Perfect to make your breakfast. Our room was for 4 people and it was beautiful, big, and with a window to the street, nice view. Including a nice Roman statue inside the room :)

Our stay at this hotel was pleasant. The best feature was the location !!! It was close to the Vatican, the Metro, and a great bar across the street with the owners hospitality we felt at home. The rooms are located on one of the upper floors of a residential building which I would not define as a full service hotel as we would understand. The cost was reasonable and there are restaurants across the street plus many benefits to being in the city. We used the rooms as a base of sleeping, & showering only.... which was all we needed. I would recommend this small hotel to travelers on a budget with no frills expectations. The staff was a lacking in hospitality skills, however cordial. The space was small but enough for what a traveler needs.

Location was great, close to the Vatican, about a 10 minute walk. Great restaurants in the area, awesome cafe across the street owned by Alfredo and lea, such a nice couple and really tasty coffee. Also a wonderful bakery on the next street over. The restaurant across the street is not the cheapest but it was mighty tasty, especially the carbonara. Yum yum. Staff could've been a little warmer and nicer, but they were helpful enough. Tiny elevator, but who cares? :)

The hotel provided excellent value for the money. Although simply furnished, my room was provided with all the basics, including a comfortable bed, free Wi-Fi, TV, air conditioning, and built in bathroom with shower. I liked the fact that the hotel is very small, which provided a more intimate, family friendly feeling to the hotel. The location of the hotel is excellent: it is located very close to the Vatican Museum and St. Peter's Basilica, and is within easy walking distance to most of Rome's top tourist attractions and the subway. The staff was friendly and responsive to my needs and my questions. The room's double paned window provided excellent noise reduction as well as thermal insulation. The hotel provides a computer and printer for guest use but the computer is very old so give yourself a bit of extra fime to use it. On the other hand, the hotel computer was handy to use to print tickets to the Vatican Museum and Galleria Borghese and other venues. I used my own laptop in my room and the Wi-Fi connection was generally very fast.

Located in a family neighborhood just outside the center of Rome and close to the Vatican area, the hotel offers a respite from the hustle and bustle of inner Rome. Close to the subway, bus lines or a 15 minute walk to the center of Rome, it is an ideal place experiencing real daily life in Italy. The hotel was very clean and the staff members are helpful and accommodating. It is not a fancy place, quite simple in its style, but you have everything you need in comfortable surroundings. The bathrooms are very nice and the showers are actually large enough to take a shower in and turn around. Some have have bathtubs as well.

Good value for money. Room was very clean and nicely furnished, bathroom also very clean and a decent size. Also a very good quality air conditioning unit in the room and a decent (free) coffee machine in the hallway. Staff were friendly and it's a nice, simple, clean hotel on the 3rd floor of an apartment block in a decent, not too touristy part of town (but still only 2 minutes walk from the metro station and 5-10 minutes walk from St Peters square). If you want to do Rome on a budget and just want somewhere nice and simple and clean a secure then I'd highly recommend this. Unfortunately I just have one negative about the hotel, and it's a shame because it's out of their control. The hotel is on the 3rd floor of an apartment block and there was clearly lots of building work going on on the floor above. I therefore got woken every morning at 8am when the builders started hammering and drilling. I'd therefore recommend that you either check with the hotel beforehand about the building work, or bring some earplugs. The only other comment is that the room had a tv but only Italian language channels. This didn't bother me but it may bother some people.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They allowed us to leave our luggage beyond check-out time until our flight in the evening. This allowed us to do things during the day without dragging suitcases around. Free coffee. Free Internet--even a computer guests can use. Corkscrew/bottle opener on request. Fifteen minute walk to the Vatican. Five minutes from the Metro. The shower stall could be a problem if you are a larger person or claustrophobic.

Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was close walking distance to the Metro and also close walking distance to the Vatican and St. Peter's Basilica. The room was comfortable and clean. Filtered water is available in the hallway to refill water bottles, which was greatly appreciated on the hot summer days we visited the city.
