Some of the rooms, certainly the ones on the top floor, wouldnt suit tall guests.
Enthusiastic welcome, with a choice of hot or cold drink by the owner and staff. Lift to the third floor was small but very welcome. Choice of room offered and we chose the 'romantic' room up a rather steep set of stairs. Lovely room with a view of the rooftops and towers. Sloping roof could be a problem if tall. Shower room small and squeezed into the corner of the room, but functioned ok. Breakfast was served round a big oval in the main reception room, with a wonderful frescoed ceiling and antique furniture. Good choice of cereals, pastries, ham and mozzerella cheese, fresh fruit salad, fresh fruit and the usual variety of sweet fare. Coffee refills offered. Advice offered on Lucca, its attractions and eating out. This B&B might not suit everyone but we really appreciated its quirkiness, its helpful owner, its value for money, and its great location in the historic centre.
