Location, cleanliness had really great weekend!! X
Nothing all good
Helpful personnel ! Very good position Canal View
Quiet and peaceful surrounding area is the reason for staying at al vagon
Hard to find and locate. More signage will help!
Location/very quiet/proper air conditioning
Character of the room, clean and a really comfy bed. Good spot from which to explore Venice.
Felt I paid a lot for no frills, a small room and quite a noisy spot.
Really private felt like an appartment
3 or 4 lightbulbs needed replacing
The Hotel Al Vagon is in a very good location just minutes from the Rialto Bridge with easy access on foot or by vaporetta to all tourist attractions and is surrounded by shops and plenty of restaurants
It was not a problem for us but on arrival we found that we were not actually staying in the hotel itself but in a very nice room (we had upgraded when booking to ensure a decent sized bed) in a building located just nearby. We were happy with that but didn't really see the hotel itself or have contact with the staff. There was a problem with a nasty smell coming from a grill in the bathroom (a particular problem in Venice we were told) but the staff did deal with that promptly.
The location of the hotel. Very near to two water bus stations--c' doro and rialto.
The room. I did not like the idea of us opening the main door of the hotel before we could go to our actual room.
Location Clean Nice Bathroom
Room was supposed to be "superior with view" but there was no view and it was small No breakfast A bit noisy sometimes (on a square)
location owner very helpful and kind room was cleaned thoroughly
very very tiny rooms for the price paid
Exceptionally clean room. Towels changed regulalarly And sheets. Attentive, thorough maid serviced room daily. Air conditioned. Reception helpful. Super location.
No view except dull internal shaft which separated rooms opposite. Kept curtains and shutters drawn for privacy. Not informed we were actually staying in an annexe of the hotel and not the main hotel itself. Entry through a restaurant's outdoor tables space and staff unfriendly and discourteous at our presence.
Location Staff Amenities, incl. wifi
Venice seemed expensive for accomodation-this hotel reasonably priced but still a bit more expensive than some
I needed to print something last minute and the staff were very nice to let me use their computer and printer.
Price / Quality is not so good window view on a wall
Enjoyed the canal view
the location is very good and in the centre.
Without lift .... The staff helped me to bring the heavy luggage to go up first but I needed to bring it down by myself when I check out.
Great hotel in great location, very clean and spacious room and bathroom! It was our third time at Al Vagon and would stay there again... Great value for your money!
The canal view from our superior room. Good location. Unexpensive room. The owner and the guy at the front desk did not speak very good english.
The room was kind of plain. We heard quite a bit noise from the street and from the square nearby. Hard bed. Small and old tv. Only one tiny trash pin.
Excellent location, good place to stay for the money
Great hotel in the heart of Venice, in the Canereggio district, close to the Rialto Bridge. We walked around the entire time we were in Venice - it is in a supreme location with countless restaurants, cafés, market stalls, shops, gondola stops. Hotel staff were helpful and friendly, we stayed in two rooms while we were there - the last night we upgraded to a Superior Room, and we should have done that from day 1! It was clean and tidy however the beds are tiny in the standard rooms, and you barely have room to move; European rooms are small so if you don't mind a small bed then I'm sure it will be fine. But the superior room was far better! The bed was huge, the sheets were even better, more walking space, the bathroom was great, everything was wonderful. And beautifully decorated in vintage style decor. Would definitely recommend Hotel Al Vagon, it definitely deserves more than one star!
location and staff
no breakfast or tea/coffee facilities in room
The staff, the lobby, the rooms - they goofed and had to upgrade our room. The upgrade to a small suite was a welcome surprise, the room was urban chic that made for a bit too much intimacy between bathroom and bedroom. It was a lovely room, fully appointed, so having that intimacy was a good opportunity for even more romantic of a stay. Once we moved to the smaller room the next night wasn't quite as nice but fair for the price, and what we booked in the first place. The decor was lovely, the place spotless and elegant, and the staff in the hotel and the restaurant was top-notch. And by far the best included breakfast anywhere.
The city is seedy, noisy, dirty and rough. The hotel was much nicer than the area, and to be fair, the location was convenient. Just not pristine, to say the least.
location was perfect - 2 minute walk to Rialto bridge. Clean room and very comfortable bed.
