Right 2 mins away from the "vaporetto" stop and 5 mins from S. Marco, yet secluded. Nice venetian architecture. Nice breakfast. smiling staff. Given the ancient architecture you cannot help but remarking that the small (but cozy) rooms floor is made of false wood |

The room and bathroom were luxurious. Fresh sheets daily might sound unnecessary, but it became something we enjoyed. And with the water bus about 100 feet away, and San Marco only minutes walk, the location is simply the best! |

Loved the location, well placed easy walk to most and the proximity of the water bus stop was a real bonus, particularly in terms of arriving, but also later when sightseeing. The breakfasts were great with a very wide choice and they never ran out of popular items. The staff were great too. We asked for a quiet room and got it. No, I was a bit wary of Venice having read many many negative comments about hotels in general. We knew in general in Italy there are no carpets, and we like this. We have stayed in Best Westerns before and their standard was always good, so we booked. |

Great lcoation - 20m from ferry. Located on nice, quiet piazza, but a small walk to the main tourist areas close by. Good breakfast included in room rate. |

The location is fantastic. The hotel is located next to the Giglio vaparetto stop. Just step off the ferry, and walk straight. You will see the hotel ahead. The rooms were very nice and clean. Breakfast had many choices and was good. |

the hotel was very clean, and we had a nice room on the first floor. our room had a canal view, which was very nice to sit and watch the gondola's going by at night. hotel had a nice looking restaurant attached to it as well, but did not eat there.. all in all, a very pleasent stay the only downside to our stay in venice was the fact that this being our first trip to the city, we were unsure of how the vaporetto's operated and were forced to walk to our hotel from the st lucia train station, which turned out to be a three hour trip of lugging our luggage up and down the hundreds of little steps and bridges that abound in venice. i would either book a room closer to the train station next time, or learn more about how the water taxi's operated beforehand. |

Central location. Cleanliness of the rooms. I have now stayed twice in this hotel and both times the rooms were uncomfortably small. The first room was very dark with barely any external light, with the window opening into a narrow alley. The hotel is spread across long, narrow and windy corridors. The tiny lift broke down on our last day. Guests had to walk down four flights of stairs. |

Central hotel in lovely area. Although room was small it had everything you needed in it. Didn't realise it was a b & b hotel, no evening meals were served. Would have appreciated a "what to do I& where to go in Venice leaflet section" in foyer, |

Great location in the heart of Venice and close to all the sights, shopping, restaurants etc. Easy access to the canal for bus, taxi or gondolas. Great breakfast; lots of choice and quantity of everything and pleasant breakfast room setting. No...everything was great and I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again when in Venice. |

The room was very quiet and confortable, the breakfast so rich it turned into brunch, the location was excellent, and the staff very helpful and friendly - not only did they speak english, but some of them were also fluent in french and portuguese. Our room, cosy, clean and spacy, had a beautiful view to a canal. We really had a great time at the hotel and would really like to express my gratitude to all the staff of ALA for the wonderful week we spent there. And I will definately try to stay at ALA on my next trip to Venice. |
