Friendly stuff, nice hotel to stay.

We really enjoyed the location of the hotel - round the corner from the Canal and the sea. The hotel is quite easy to find. The services were really good. We arrived quite late but were welcomed by the bell boy. The elevator makes it easy to unload the baggage. Free WiFi in rooms is a great plus. The stuff was friendly to our dog - no extra charge. When our car accumulator died the person from the hotel stuff was really-really helpful, spent with us an hour, and make the services fix the issue. The rooms are big enough, bright and clean. Just enough space for a couple. The shower-rooms are clean and new equipped. The European-style breakfast is what you need for the start of the day - yogurts, ham, boiled eggs, fresh bred, selection of jams, good espresso.

The hotel was a short walk from the bus/train stations and easy to find with a map. . The room was very clean and there were 4 beds for the three of us ladies We were on the first floor and there were 2 lovely clean bathrooms. Small tv but only Italian programmes. Wash basin in the room. Also free wifi in the room. A decent breakfast on the 3rd floor near reception and we were able to leave our bags after checkout.

Nothing really, apart from the traffice noise but we were in the centre of the city and it did calm down late at night.

Fast, well mannered and excellent service.Where you feel just at your home.

The best position you can desire:2 minutes walk from central station and from city towm.If you want to get the hotel by car you can obtain a budget parking in the neirghbood.The palace is very old (not very good presentation to tell the truth) but the rooms are renewed cleaned and very comfortable. A good breakfast( if you consider the price)is waiting for you in the morning.

Everything was excellent. Breakfast is fine and tasty. Stuff is friendly and helpful. Hotel is located close to rail station but near to city center. Will return at Alabarda next time in Trieste

It was close to the train station and easy to reach.

We did not have a private toilet.

We stayed at Alabarda last year and we decided to comeback also this year. Accomodation of last year was ok (nothing special at all, tyet clean with nice breakfast and air conditioning), yet this year the main floor was full so we stayed in the depandance. The room was quite clean but without airconditiong (and this was not clearly stated in the booking) and in August it is an heavy minus. We could spleep very little with the window opened. Therefore go to Alabarda but do not stay in the depandance!

Staff are very friendly and helpful with anything you need, directions, you can leave the suitcase there at no extra charge. Location is good and the breakfast buffet is quite good too.

The hotel is falling apart. It is located in a block of flats, the reception is on the 3rd floor and we stayed on the 1st floor. It is a very old building and the room we stayed in is very old. Curtains as well as many other things in there are in massive need for change/refurbishment. There is no air conditioning so it was quite hot in the room at night. We tried to open the window but there was an air conditioning machine in the patio outside which was quite noisy so we ended up using the fan all night which is not ideal. Also, my legs were literally eaten by something, I prefer to think it was mosquitos and not bedbugs... Even though staff were nice and helpful and breakfast was good, I wouldn't stay here again.. I guess it was ok because it was only 1 night!

The rooms were nice and clean, and the breakfast was good.

The toilets had cockroaches.

I liked that the the straff speak very good English, seems to be rare in Italy. Breakfast was very good! Enough! Also fruits. And they kept on refilling. It is no problem to leave your luggage and pick it up at the end of the day, our plane left at 9 pm. They are situated at a busy street in Triest, so there was noise. But it's good because you are perfectly in the center of Triest and can do every activity by foot.

No complains, only a explenation. We stayed at the first floor, that is 1 star and with no airconditioning and shared bathrooms. They also have rooms at the third floor with airconditioning and private bathrooms (ofcourse you'll pay more for these rooms).

Shared bathroom not always clean, parking is expensive...Room is too hot in July, no air conditioning.

The location was great and the staff very helpful. Good luggage storage after I checked out. And breakfast was nice, eggs, cereal, bread and cold cuts with cheese.

The floor I was on only had 2 toilets and they were in with the showers so there was always a wait to get in there. I found that a bit uncomfortable as I never knew how long I would have to wait. The room/hotel had no air conditioning and it was very hot when I went to Trieste. So needless to say sleeping and getting ready was a bit uncomfortable. I was constantly sweating. :(

Really,it's not a hotel, it's hostel. Not for this price, great problem with parking

Excellent location - 5 minutes walking from the center of trieste and the marina. Fair breakfast.

No private or public parking near the hotel. Pablic parking on the street - 5 minutes walking. Garage - 10 minutes walking - 16 Euro/day.

Nice big room, very helpful staff, no complaints at all

It was about location for us. walking distance to the railway and the cruise wharf.

Travelling as a couple and booked a double but were given 2 single beds.

The hotel is basic, one up from an hostel, but for the price it was good value for money for the area, no where is reasonable in Trieste. The breakfast was above expections from what we had read, eggs, cold meats, yogurts, cake, tea, coffee and juice.

A dark room, cigarettes' smell in the room (from previous guests), noise from the next room (one guy couldn't sleep so I could hear him walking, watching tv and, finally, snoring when he managed to fall asleep for 30 min (poor man) then he woke up and everything started again ....
