Hotel Alabarda  

Super nice staff, very helpful, very well English speeking and very much accommodating for guests needs. We could leave our luggage in the hotel after check out; they opened the breakfast room earlier when more people asked for that; and they even let us to use the shower when collecting our luggage at the end of the day. Absolut in the centre - close both to main station and to main square.

There are no parking places in the inner city at all but the more parking garages are available everywhere around. We paid 10 euros / day for parking and it was just round the corner.

Nice big room and good shower/toilet. Good reading lights. Breakfast was adequate. Good location.

Poor coffee at breakfast. One curtain did not close so room was a bit bright. (Forgot to inform the management)

It's a very good hotel, where you can find good quality at a very good price. The room was simple but modern, and very clean. The staff is very friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. It has a very good position, is at 10 min walking to the city centre. We will choose this hotel again !

The public parking which they recommend is a little bit far, and if you have baggage's is not very easy to come with them to the hotel, and of course you have to pay 8 euros per day.We didn't parked there, because of that, and we parked 2 streets away, on a public parking spot which was free of charge, but we had luck to find that spot, because there was full.

Outside was freezing but the hotel was so warm. The guys at the reception desk were nice and helpful. Breakfast was OK. It was OK for a 1-2 day trip.

Well this is not a hotel. It is the 3rd floor of a building. They put a desk to entrance and volaaaa! We are a hotel! One of the rooms is the breakfast saloon. The problem is its like all the breakfast is happening inside your room. I knew how many cups of coffee were consumed on that morning. Second morning was ok, i wasnt disturbed by the sound. I think its overpriced.

They were not able to prepare a room with extra beds on our request because it was Saterday afternoon,and we booked this afternoon for that night.

No place for parking. No way to stay your baggage directly in the hotel. I was surprised that the hotel is 3rd floor in the building only. It was not problem but it would be better to know before the arriving

The room was large and clean, en suite was good, breakfast was fine and the staff were very helpful. Good value hotel in the city centre.

The initial impression is poor as the entrance felt like a grubbly block of flats. It was dark dingy and scary with no sign of a hotel entrance. The hotel entrance is on the 3rd floor and the entrance to the lift is grubby.

We liked the convenience to the train station/ferry terminal. The room was lovely and spacious and the staff member on duty very helpful. We had an overnight stop only and were directed to a great place to dine and do a short bit of sight seeing by night which was very attractive and an added bonus.

Trouble with parking

Lovely place, i recommend to everyone who want to stay at Trieste, in the heart of the center without spending big amount of money. The room was really comfortable and big, has plenty of space and light, comfortable beds, extremely clean. I could say that the size of the room is equal to the room sizes in a five star hotels. We stayed in a double room - two adults with two kinds and there was space enough for everyone. The bathroom is well equipped with all you could need, super clean and the size also is a good surprise. The treasures of the hotel are the people who run it and the staff – really friendly and nice. You can feel safe and well treated there. We recommend.

Elevator

Not much to say. Just a strange Hotel on the 3rd floor of the old apartment house to sleep in the middle of the city. Breakfast was acceptable. Rooms were large enough and clean.

The hotel was in a good location, in a short walking distance to the train/bus station and also near to restaurants etc, Hotel was an old building and could probably do with a coat of paint, staff were nice though , and when we first got there we thought the room was ok, basic but ok.

The problem with the hotel came of the evening when we were joined by a big cockroach. One of the beds also broke half way through the night and room became very hot! Unfortunately the road was busy which meant that you could not leave the window open, so in all not the best hotel to be staying at! I think there are better deals to be had at more modern hotels.

The staff was really very nice. Very good location - near the train and bus statios and not far from the city centre.

The only bad thing was the bed linen - it doesn't seem too clean and there was a strang smell.

It was very, very clean, staff was ok, location is almost perfect, it is cheap, you have cheap parking nearby, bathroom is ok, beds are soft and Trieste is nice city.

We arrived between 01:00 and 02:00 in the night, as was confirmed before, but the guy at the reception was sleeping and the door were locked, but when we called the hotel on the phone everything was solved in one minute, so it was not big problem, just try to come earlier at the hotel.

This hotel is located on the third and fourth floors of an appartment building with a small lift. It is located in the central area of Trieste, close to the main shopping and restaurant areas near the Central canal and square. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was adequate. Parking is very limited in central Trieste and the hotel has an arrangement for half price daily rates with a parking station next to Trieste railway station, about 10 minutes walk from the hotel.

The car needed to be brought from the parking station to the hotel to unload and load our baggage.

Location+comfort+facilites+ breakfast = value for money, close to bus and train stations, and city center with main attractions as well. So I can recommend for 2-3 -day trip by this region and for tranzit travellers

Lokacija je ok jer se nalazi u neposrednoj blizini centra!

Totalno razocarenje jer uopste nije hotel nego stambena zgrada i na prvom spratu su sobe a recepcija na trecem. Soba je imala prozor koji gleda na unutrasnjost zgrade tako da je mrak 24 sata. Cena abnormalno visoka za ovakvu vrstu smestaja. Platio sam dvokrevetnu sobu 75 a realno vredi 20 evra
