Hotel Caravaggio is in Florence’s Piazza Indipendenza, a 10 minute walk from Santa Maria Novella Station. Its attentive 24-hour staff provide a tour desk and serve drinks in the peaceful garden.

It had tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Good breakfast.
nice location, and breakfast
In addition to a good location, charming and helpful staff and an excellent breakfast, my wife and I were most struck by the elegance and aesthetic sense of the hotel. Again and again - in our bedroom, in our bathroom, in the lift, in the breakfast room - we were delighted by the sense of shape and colour. Most visitors to Florence are attracted by the major art works. The Alba Hotel ensures that from the moment of arrival to the moment of departure their guests are in a lovely but subtly structured environment.
night staff was very helpful
in 10 to20 minutes we walked to most interesting places
just an ordinary room but OK for the price
We stayed over the half term 2015 - 2 children 9 and 11. A great location in Florence and within walking distance of all the sights. Duplex style room with 2 beds upstairs and a double downstairs. Posh bathroom and amazing Jacuzzi bath-house with domes ceiling and frescos! Great breakfast and helpful staff. Clean and plenty towels each day. Easy walk to the train station and from there to Pisa and the airport. Highly recommended!
Noise at night from the room next door but they changed over and all was fine after that.
Perfect location, five minutes walk from the station, ten minutes to the historical center. I loved the decor, very nice breakfast.
The staff at the reception desk was very impersonal, no welcome, no questions about the stay, just pay and go !
Traveling with small children one of our biggest concerns is safety and cleanliness. Hotel Alba provided both of those and exceeded my expectations and we travel a lot in Europe/Italy. The staff was friendly and most helpful, from the front desk, housekeeping and staff working the breakfast café. Overall our experience with Hotel Alba was wonderful. We went to celebrate our Anniversary over Valentine's weekend and when we returned to our room on our Anniversary, there was a bottle of wine (bottle opener and two glasses), chocolates and a Happy Anniversary note! We waited to the last minute to secure tickets to The Academia (Statue of David) and worried we may have to wait in the long line that wraps around the building for hours! Verena at the front desk was able to secure us reservations and in the time slot of our choosing. Both of these circumstances combined gave me my first and best hospitality experience in Italy! We look forward to another visit to Firenze and we will most definitely be staying at Hotel Alba.
The only complaint is more of an opinion, I found the beds were to firm. Everyone has their preference so I can't really classify it as a true complaint.
Staff were helpful and always on hand for good advice. Breakfast was very good with good selection on buffets. Easy access to bus and train station.Lots of good Restaurants close at hand.
NO parking facilities, but, we found excellent underground facilities for 20 euros per night.
Location to station. Clean and very comfortable. Windows open yay!! Amazing choices for breakfast, be sure to include this in your stay. Catered for gluten free at breakfast and free snacks with drinks in the evening.... A very generous add on. The staff are over the top friendly. Almost to the point of being a little unnerving. Would stay here again.
Location, cleanness, price
Soundproof very poor. Noise from street is not too bad, but you can hear every words spoken from next room and corridor.
Everything the hotel is perfect
Location is really good, close to train station, many convenience stores around. My friend and I liked the breakfast a lot, although they are almost the same everyday, they gives you a variety of choices.
The staff was helpful, pleasant, and went out of their way for me. The breakfast food and coffee were very good.
The room was tiny, but it may have been because I requested a quiet room.
Location( near city center and central station)
Noise froom adjacent rooms and from closing doors. Small the single room.
everything was perfect. It was clean, kind, and comfort. Breakfirst was fantastic!
Nothing. Everything was perfect. Pricr was not expensive compare to service and quality of property.
A little bit far from the big roads
excellent location 5 min away from the train station
the tray with cups in the bedroom was not clean
The breakfast is ready by 7am.
The room was large and comfortable. It had a good hairdryer. Breakfast room was very nice.
It could be just our room but the toilet was so close to the wall you couldn't sit properly on it. There was only one girl working the breakfast- serving and refilling the food.
Great hotel. Excellent service, friendly for Florence. Exceptionally clean and professional. Would definitely stay there again.
Location Is very good
Price for 3 star hotel is a little bit expensive during the normal season.
The location is very good; just a block from the Santa Maria Novella train station and the Santa Maria Novella Church. It is also close to Space Club which is the place to be for young people who like to party. Very easy 10 minute walk to the Duomo and 5 minute walk to the Ponte Vecchio. The room was nice, warm, cozy. Room/bathroom was very clean. Staff spoke English quite well. They will allow you to store your luggage if you need to before/after check in.
The pillow was too hard for my liking. The wifi in my room was spotty which was unfortunate. The shower was quite small. One of the ladies at the desk was a bit rude for no reason.
Hotel Alba is situated on a narrow street within easy walking distance of the rail station and a 5-10 minute walk to the Duomo. The BEST breakfast served in a lovely covered internal courtyard.
We had a room on the street side and the restaurants and bars were noisy late on Friday & Saturday. Advise asking for a rear facing room if you're staying on the weekend.
Room size, decor
Very cluttered table. Everything on a small table...TV, kettle, tea, coffee, table lamp, instruction leaflet, etc. Quality of tea, coffee not very good. Internet very slow. Mosquitoes in the room.
