Hotel Alba    

The location was excellent for anyone who is traveling by bus or train. It is a short walk into the heart of old Florence and all of its attractions. While public transportation was available we didn't have to use it walking everywhere. Of the six places we stayed in Italy during our two week trip this was at the top of our list of favorites.

Best hotel I have been so far as a three star hotel. Will definitely stay there again if I am in Florence. I stayed in another three star hotel in Florence for the same prices, and Hotel Alba excelled in all respects. Almost a five star hotel!!!

toiletries could be better :D which is completely lie since I don't know what I didnt like in this hotel. Ah ok, the remote control did not work properly.

1.poor facilities 2.mosquitos inside the room 3.room and bed not clean enough 4.poor breakfast, few choices, not tasty; forks plates not clean 5.very small bathroom, no hangers inside the toilet 6.staff opened my room, without knocking on my door, early in the morning

place was charming, clean, very good location to be able to walk to train station and to the other areas of florence. nice thick towels :) and lobby very cozy and welcoming.

it was very noisy we were on the first floor and could hear them in the breakfast area very early in the am . also could hear the other guests in the area as well that may be a better spot to put people with YOUNG children, as they are up early in the am for us it was unrestful. All the front desk staff very friendly,,,the buffet women...not so and not enough fruit at the buffet

Front desk staff were kind and helpful. Decoration at public places were nice.

I stayed in Italy for 11 days with 5 different hotels, this one was not the cheapest but I get the smallest room I ever had. For break first, this is the one and only hotel I stayed in Italy which does not serve you fresh coffee on their initiative, unless you ask for it. Other wise, there's cooked coffee in a big jar, you can serve your self as much as you want. In any other places I will find it reasonable, but its' Italy, people drink nothing but fresh cooked express or cappuccino.

The receptionist who checked us in was not nice, with a fake smile and attitude. Technically she did the check-in all right, but we felt like we were not welcome at all. The room was a bit "used" and more simple than we expected, but it was still ok. The breakfast was not so good, the items that went out were not replaced at all. Hotel Alba uses old fashioned metal keys and we must return the keys whenever we leave the hotel. When we come back, they give us the keys without checking who we are. The receptionist had absolutely no idea if we were really the owner of that room! I felt very insecure about this procedure.

All was good. Normal hotel, good personal.

Evarything was nice the only thing that I can say is that the walls are too slim as well as the doors and you can hear all noises from other rooms as well as the hallways.

Location is good

You can certainly hear TV or conversation in room next to you. For our 2 nights stay at hotel Alba I didn't sleep well at all. There was an older Italian guy next to our room which turned on TV and slept with it. I had to call the front desk at 1:30 am to call his room & ask to lower the volume. I don't know what their walls are made of. But you can hear toilet flush, opening/closing of closet door, conversation, etc. their breakfast can also be better. It is very basic.

We stayed at Hotel Alba last week for 4 nights and it was just great. Room was not big but just enough for me and my husband. The mini-bar was a plus and stuff is not expensive even though it was not replenished. Comfy bed with four pillows :) Excellent shower with plenty of Hot water. Towels were changed daily even though we hung them up. Very Clean! Only 3 minutes to the bus station and 5 minutes to the Train Station which we found very convenient. Staff was very helpful and breakfast was great. Another good thing is the free Wi-Fi, however reception was sometimes poor in the rooms! It was a lovely stay overall and the Vodkas at the bar were always double :) :) ! We will definitely recommend this Hotel!

Loved the room - we have two children aged 10 & 11 yrs and it was perfect for us. The location is very handy to the station & the breakfast was fantastic. 10 out of 10

The rooms are good and enough space. The staffs are very helpful, it's near train station santa maria novella, and near to everywhere. Price is reasonable, wifi is good too...

The breakfast is not so good, but ok....

Hotel Alba is very close to the train station. It is just 5 minutes walk. The hotel staff is very nice and helpful. Our room is clean and big enough for three of us. Breakfast is good and more choice. I will come back to Alba again if I visit Florence.

Great location -- close to the train station and all attractions. The room was comfortable and clean and served our needs perfectly. Breakfasts were good with a good selection and coffee made as requested. Good Wifi connection and friendly desk staff.

Stuff on the reception tried to replace prebooked room with much cheaper room by unknown reason. After long discussion on the reception finally they provided initially booked room

1) Friendly staff and clean 2) Excellent location when travelling by train 3) Modern, yet no loss of character to the building

The hotel was in an excellent position close to the rail station as we arrived by and departed by and used the rail while there. The room was large and comfortable and the staff were great.The breakfast room and breakfast was excellent.

Everything was as advertised, very good accommodations. Good concierge service too.

Location, though on a quite street, close to everything you need to go & see in Florence, love the day tour to Tuscan which you can prebook with the hotel, all the basic u need for a full on holiday which u will be out for most of the time, very friendly & helpful staff, recommended.

Large clean rooms - location made it easy to walk to the sites of Florence. Nice helpful staff. Seemed like a good value

Not on a very nice street. Next to lots of outer tourist hotels.
